Avni is taken aback when he pushed her.
Avni manages to stand up. She identifies that the girl died just some hours ago as her corpse doesn’t start to decay. Before she could speak,
Neil – “Whoever is she, I’m with her because, I want to be with her. I brought her here because she was buried out there in the cold and I won’t drag her now. but I will take lifting her,”. He said in a deep devilish voice.
Neil lifts the corpse of the girl in his arms and go to their room. Avni followed them and stopped at the entrance of the bedroom, seeing Neil placing the dead body beside his side of the bed. He laid near the corpse, cuddling her.
She breaks down into tears. Seeing this, her heart shatters . Why did he do this? How can he give her side of bed to a blo*dy dead body? How can he just bring her here in their house?
She weeps and to her bad luck, she couldn’t even share her pain with someone else.
She didn’t knew when she fell asleep.
Next morning, Neil gets awake and rubbed his eyes. He kissed the cheek of the corpse, assuming it’s Avni but he held his nose as her smell stung his nose. “What did this happen to Avni? Why does she smells like this?” – He asked himself and held her face which was ice cold and turned it towards him, he switched on the lights and as he looked at her face, it scared him to death as he realized it wasn’t Avni.
Her eyes were pitch black, her skin was very pale, her lips were dry, he removed the duvet from above her with trembling hands and saw that she had snake bites all over her body. Her neck had a huge hickey, he palmed her eyes and sat senseless.
He gets confused. What happened to Avni… Where she is… who is the corpse… why was she in Avni’s place…
He get out of the room and startled seeing Avni sleeping with her back supporting the wall. He shook her. “Avni!” He shouted and shook her, she woke up getting startled and stood up. “Avni, huhhh, thank God you’re okay, thank God,” he said nervously and hugged her tightly, she hugged him back in confusion.
“Didn’t he remember anything about last night? Why was he reacting like this?” – Avni gets confused.
“Avni, you are okay na?” – Neil asked and she nodded, he sighed.
“I was scared seeing a corpse in the bed beside me…” – he said trembling and hold her hand and take to their room and pointed at the dead body on her side of bed.
“Avni, tell me who’s she? How did she come here? Who brought her here? Tell na please?” – He asked with innocence.
Avni looked at the dead girl and then at him. “Why are you asking me? How will I know? You will be knowing that, won’t you?” She asked and he raised his eyebrows at her.
“I will be knowing? How? I don’t even know who’s she,” – Neil asked her cluelessly.
“So did she come here on her own?” – Avni answered back.
“I don’t know anything,” – he said to convince her where as he is confused why was she asking like these questions.
“Don’t lie to me Neil, you brought her here and romanced with her all the night and acting now.” – she said and narrated him, whatever happened at night. That made Neil shocked.
“Yeah, I went outside but I don’t remember getting her out of the ice. Who the hell is she? I’m getting her out of here.” – he said and picked her on his shoulder while Avni stared at him blankly as he went outside with her. She held her head and sat on the bed getting frustrated and angry both at the same time.
Neil take the shovel and dug the icy layers till it was deep enough and buried her inside not even caring to close her eyes that stared upwards blankly.
He returned home but He didn’t find Avni anywhere. He rushes to their room and heard a water sound.
Neil – “What the hell! She is taking a bath in such icy weather?” He asked himself and banged the door.
“Avni! Avni! It’s cold. You’ll get ill, honey…” – Neil said.
Avni didn’t reply and he again shouted her name.
“Avni!” He shouted crumbling his fist on the wall.
“When you romanced with corpse, your Avni too becomes a corpse!” She shouted back angrily.
“Are you mad? You’re getting irritated for no reason.” – Neil asked.
“Get lost Neil, I don’t want to talk to you,” – Avni replies back with frustration.
“Arrey yaar… Ok cool… You’re angry with Me, right… Ok, I am leaving the room. But please come out of bathroom, please…” – Neil begged.
“Not at all… At least my anger would cool down in this icy water,” – she shouts.
Neil opts not to shout and goes out of the room sadly.
Later at night, Avni is sleeping at Hall in the couch. She wakes up as it seemed like someone walking and dragging something.
She rubbed her eyes to get her vision clear. To her shock, Neil is again dragging the same lady’s corpse.
“Neel! you buried her so why did you bring her again? You fool! Get it out of here,” – she said and he pushed her sideways again and went to their room and slept cuddling the dead body. Avni watched helplessly.
Just then, she was pushed by someone and she rolled on the stairs and goes out of the house. She is about to see who pushed her but there is no one present. Before she could able to stand up, the door gets locked and she couldn’t able to open it. She stands still
