Kavita Kaushik Quits Television: The Shift from TV Stardom to a Peaceful Mountain Life

Kavita Kaushik, best known for her iconic role as Inspector Chandramukhi Chautala in the popular television show FIR, has decided to step away from the television industry. The actress cites irregular working hours and the regressive nature of current TV content as the primary reasons for her decision. In a recent interview, Kavita discussed her reasons for leaving the industry and her plans for the future.

In an interview with Times Now, Kavita revealed, “I don’t want to do TV anymore. I can’t do 30 days of work. I am open to doing web shows or movies, but I am not a typical-looking heroine who can easily get cast in all kinds of shoots. There are only a few kinds of roles that suit my personality.”

She mentioned that she continues to receive offers for TV projects, particularly ones involving supernatural themes like Shaitaani Rasmein. However, she cannot maintain the same lifestyle she had three years ago when she was actively working in television. While she is grateful for that phase of her life when she was young and needed the money, she can no longer commit to such demanding schedules.

Kavita also expressed her disappointment with the current state of TV content, describing it as regressive and saying that she no longer wants to be a part of it. She reminisced about a time when television was more progressive, offering diverse shows that provided entertainment for all age groups. Now, she believes that the content being shown can be harmful to younger generations.

Kavita shared her concerns about the regression depicted in reality shows and dramas, which she feels fosters negativity and hatred among people. She admitted to having been a part of this trend and expressed regret for contributing to it. Kavita made it clear that she does not approve of the current television landscape.

Now, Kavita enjoys a peaceful life in the mountains with her husband, Ronnit Biswas. The couple runs an Ayurvedic business, embracing a more serene and holistic lifestyle away from the hustle and bustle of the entertainment industry.

Kavita Kaushik rose to fame with her portrayal of Chandramukhi Chautala in FIR. She has also starred in popular shows such as Tera Chhalaava, Kutumb, and Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki. In addition to her television work, Kavita has participated in reality shows like Nach Baliye 3 and Bigg Boss 14.

Besides being a versatile actress, Kavita is a yoga practitioner and an organic beauty entrepreneur. She has also made significant contributions to Bollywood, appearing in films such as Zanjeer, Mumbai Cutting, and Ek Hasina Thi.

With her move away from television, Kavita Kaushik is embracing a new chapter in her life, focusing on personal growth and a healthier lifestyle. Her journey reflects her commitment to authenticity and a desire to contribute positively to society.
