Now as a Tamilian myself I do agree that YHM is better than KMKV, but here I want to state the reasons why it is better, and show how KMKV is the next best thing. So basically I’m here to defend KMKV but I still agree with YHM being better.
Here’s a list of the characters
Arjun-Raman
Priya-Ishita
Pooja-Ruhi
Adi-Adi
Vandhana-Shagun
Ashok-Ashok
1. Everyone says how Ishita acts like an actual Tamilian while Priya doesn’t really act like a Malayali. This is true but to some degree. Hindi and Tamil are almost opposites. It’s easy to show the difference between them because mostly everything from their language to clothing is very different. On the other hand Malayalam and Tamil are very similar. There are minor differences in both language and culture as Malayalam derived from Tamil. Therefore it is really difficult to show the differences between those two cultures while it is easier to show it between Hindi and Tamil.
2. The lead actresses are often compared and it is said that Priya overacts while Ishita is perfect. The reason why Ishita is better is because the actress playing her is much more experienced and she knows how to act. Priya is a newbie and this is her first acting experience. In an interview she stated that she hadn’t even acted in school plays before, and knew nothing about acting when she joined. In my opinion it isn’t fair to compare these two as one is far more experienced than the other. As for the overacting part, Priya does justice to her unique character, and so does Ishita. For Priya’s character that she has built up, her acting fits the role perfectly. If she was acting in YHM she would be considered overacting but for KMKV I believe that it fits her role nicely.
3. Raman is better at giving more expressions than Arjun. This I agree with to some extent. Arjun again does justice to his role, and I believe that he hasn’t had the chance to really show the intense emotions as the show ended before any serious conflict. For example, the kidnapping scene in YHM. Raman acted amazingly in that scene and really proved his talent, but (correct me if I’m wrong) this scene wasn’t in KMKV so Arjun wasn’t given the chance to prove his worth as well.
4. There are many scenes in KMKV that were on par if not better than the ones in YHM. Now this is my opinion but in scenes like when Pooja/Ruhi first call Priya/Ishita “Amma” I find that the two scenes are equal if not KMKV taking a tiny step ahead. Now this is just my own opinion but I feel like KMKV did a good job matching up to YHM expectations
5. Overall YHM is better because YHM has a bigger budget than KMKV allowing for more special things and fancier sets and what not, and they have a more experienced heroine (although Priya is just slightly below Ishita in terms of the role she’s been given)

i luv both versions…our tamil actors did wat they can do… and kmkv is not less than yhm…. priya is also an amazing actress..anyway they didnt manage to continue the show… long live yhm… lots of love for yhm raman ishima and ruhi….
I agree that I view kmkv equal to yhm but for this purpose of this post I tried to be non-biased and not spark a fight. And yes I totally agree that with the limited experience actors kmkv had it did amazingly well especially Priya who in my opinion carried the show
yhm got such a powerful actors like divan that’s the main reason for yhm success….
Exactly!!
how did kmkv end? what happened to the supported characters like bala vandita ashok shagun manoj Simi param mihir rinky mihika abhishek romi sarika?
Well, it ended because the main heroine left the show and no body watched it after that. And they had a script where there’s a villain who looks like Raman and switches places with him and tries to rape Ishita. When they find out and solve the problem Vandana becomes mental because she was threatened to be lit on fire while she was captured by the evil Raman. Ashok, feeling bad for her, takes her back into his life. Vandita still hasn’t given birth and is pregnant, Mihika just escaped Ashok and is now living with Ishita’s parents again. Mihir is married to Rinki and Rinki isn’t dead. Abhishek hasn’t entered the story, and Simmi and Param have separated yet Simmi hasn’t even thought of marrying someone else yet. As for Manoj he can’t be a father still, and Sarika and him aren’t married. Of course I might be missing some details since I didn’t watch much after the heroine was replaced either
manoj or romi?was Dr.manoj there in Tamil?thanks for the reply
