Before twodays of engagement Manik accepted to nominate for college elections on everyone’s request along with dean. Sadana is not happy with this decision but as usual she is silent seeing son happy. All are excited.
Engagement shopping completed, Nandini is fed up with these shopping parlour college relatives, o my god!
Manik is also busy with campaigning and engagement works. Cabir was one who handling college works, Mukhti his shopping works with sadana. Everyone made arrangements for everything.
Finally the day arrived.
Daddi, dadu, uncles and aunties, cousins, friends all got ready in blues. The theme of grooms side was blues.
Nandini, her relatives, parents, piya, Roshini are in yellows.
All reached hall. Manik is eagerly waiting to see Nandini.
Pandit came. He prepared everything for ring ceremony.
He made Manik to sit, along with dadi and dadu. Afterwards he called Nandini and made her sit along with parents.
After puja, both Manik and Nandini stood opposite to each other.
Meera brought both rings with a rose petals filled plate.
“First both listen to me, after this ring ceremony, you both are engaged to each other, before that we have done rokha!. As the are decided to get marry. Be honest, love , trust, and strength to each other. When you are really by mind and by heart feel same change rings” pandit said.
“Manik think again! If not for life time same face no chance to flurt, you are called engaged, even uncle.”
“Shut up cabir!” Manik said and with smile took Nandini’s left hand, touched with thumb finger smoothly and then kept a solitaire diamond ring on finger.”
Nandini with blushing shy and broad smile took his ring from plate and Manik gave her left hand she kept the ring. Manik took her hand pressed it and left all clapped.
Photo session and ashirwad session went on for really long time.
All friends brought cake.
Both did cake cutting.
Music started.All started to dance, even newly engaged couple

“Pihu! You are looking different” Manik said holding her waist
“Did you see me?” Nandini asked
“Yes” Manik replied fast
“Ok then looking into my eyes say which colour dress I am wearing?”
“White dress” Manik replied
“Manik you are impossible, all my time and energy waste, I said to piya and Roshini waste no need they didnot listen I am correct”
“What?” Manik asked surprisingly.
“Look at me once totally, Manik iam wearing yellow half saree. I done my make up, changed my hair style, mahendi, all jewellery everything new, and different you are saying white dress. Ha ha ha. Look my fate” Nandini felt disasters
“Pihu! You are correct, actual looking at girls from top to bottom, it’s…. It’s like….vulgar thing. Starting at them lust fully I personally feel so……. ” Manik said with pouch face
“Yes I too feel uncomfortable when any one look at me like this but you are supposed to see me. I got ready for you, not for this party?”
“I agree! I will see” Manik started to see her
Golden yellow and dark pink combination half saree, waist with pearls chain, very gud outfit blouse, neck carry a pearl chain. Hair is tied as bun at right side with a red rose.some hair on both sides and left free which are curled, big eyes with Kajal, small pink bindi, lips are coloured with natural baby pink lipstick.
“Waw Pihu! I feel you are most beautiful than before. But…… Try some Marron, or brown shade lipstick I think that suits better”
“O! You know shades? Intresting”
“I love lips…….ticks…….. And hate too”
“Why?”
“The colour makes me feel embarsed between friends”
Nandini laughed.”don’t touch them then, it’s that simple”

“Congratulations Manik Malhotra you are engaged” Nandini gave him shake hand
“Congratulations you too Pihu”
“Atleast say my name today”
“Pihu is not your name?”
“Ya but iam Nandini khanna”
“Leave it say how am I?”
“When you come to my house with baarath, at all surrounding houses food will be burnt, as they all will be just starring at you and forgets food. You are such handsome always”
“Best compliment I got till now.” Manik blushed
Both are happy dancing and talking.
After dancing cabir asked everyone to take their seats and a small play is announced.
Cabir Roshini played Manik and Nandini role.
From day one jogging to today all important things they played.
All are clapping , laughing.
