Harsh Rajput, who was last seen in Kuch Toh Hai, recently reacted to the debate of whether tv shows are woman-centric. In an interview with BT, Harsh Rajput shared that though it is true, men also get important roles to balance a good script.
Harsh, who essayed the lead role in Nazar, said, “TV shows revolve around women and very often they get to play the protagonists, but that does not mean male actors don’t get good roles. In my career, I have been part of shows like Janbaaz Sindbad and Prithviraj Chauhan where I have got got to do interesting stuff. If a show centers around a woman, it also needs a male actor to balance things.”
Talking about the content on TV, he added, “The content on television is getting progressive every day I feel. The notion that we are only churning out regressive content is not true. Many makers have taken the lead in showing some entertaining and meaningful stories on the small screen.”
When asked if he wants to try his hand on OTT and he replied, “Due to the pandemic, web shows have seen a great boom. It is an alternative medium, which is giving makers an opportunity to experiment with newer concepts. I haven’t done any web show but if there is something challenging, why not? I have never restricted myself to just one medium; it is always about a good role and not the medium.”
On the personal front, Harsh has been spending quality time with his family in his hometown Navsari post his show ‘Kuch to Hai’ went off-air in March 2021. The actor plans to get married soon.
Talking about it he shared, “I am single and have no plans to get married. My parents are also quite chilled-out and prefer that I take my own time to find a companion. I am looking for someone with whom I can share my views and we are on the same page about important things in life. I am not a very demanding guy, so I have no bigger preferences about whether she should be from industry or not. Besides, currently, I don’t see myself getting married for another 2-3 years. I want to settle in my career and do good for myself. Then, I will think of marriage.”
