~~?Beginning?~~
Third person’s POV
Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end. That’s quite true!!.. The beginning of Swara’s life with Sanskar has come to an end when she stepped into Varun’s life! It’s a new relation with a new beginning. It’s been few months, and she is getting used to these changes. Varun has no one except his aunt and his aunt is a guest here. She comes often but not so much! The main reason being Varun doesn’t like her!!.. Swara has plenty of time alone!!.. She has been home for some months, taking a break from her office. She is happy as well as afraid! Happiness hasn’t been a part of her life, these 4 years!!.. And when we suddenly step into happiness we feel afraid, same is with Swara. She has that fear.
Every day she feels a blessing from God and she considers it a new beginning. Yeah, everything is beautiful but something is still not perfect!!.. Something is wrong!! She is wrong!!.. Past is past and we need to forget. We need to move on and forget those bad memories in our way, the obstacles, tackling and leaving them long ago before entering your present and future!!.. The beginning is the most important part of the work. But Swara couldn’t help thinking about the dreadful past! She’s still there quenching, heaving for the love that isn’t, wasn’t & will never be her’s!!..
“Let go of yesterday. Let today be a new beginning and be the best that you can, and you’ll get to where God wants you to be” that’s what every close one tells her but she is losing! Losing each and everyday!!.. It’s easy to say, hard to follow!!.. It’s difficult to accept but is true.. ‘First love is difficult to forget!’… She hadn’t forgiven nor had she forgotten those beautiful memories with him! It’s tough to decide your love and what’s correct!!.. She had made herself strong, her heart stone and rejected Sanskar. He wasn’t trustworthy anymore!! No more!!….
But her love, love isn’t easy to despise!!.. But she’s trying her best not to avoid Varun and think about Sanskar all over again!!.. She is falling in the pit, again!!..
It’s raining outside. “Let the rain kiss you. Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops. Let the rain sing you a lullaby” famous quotes by Rabindranath Tagore. That was what her mother used to say while asking her to enjoy the rain. She used to follow and recite those words, dancing and singing in this rain.
Sunshine is delicious,
Rain is refreshing,
Wind braces us up,
Snow is exhilarating,
There is really no such thing
As bad weather,
Only different kinds of good weather.
It’s a poem written by John Ruskin, her favourite critic. She recites the poem and keeps on whispering watching some children playing those paper boats and some others enjoying the rain. School girls hiding their umbrellas behind their bag and taking long fresh breaths, enjoying, jumping in this beautiful weather!!.. She has that same Swara inside her to play in the rain but for now she’s dull. May be she had died in her past. Her thoughts broke by Ansh’s shrieks.
“Mumma, where’s dadda??” he came in, in his muddy clothes. Swara glared at him.
“Ansh, what’s this? This mud? I asked you not to play in the muddy water? Isn’t it? Then why don’t you listen to Mumma?” Swara said scolding him.
“Ansh won’t listen to his Mumma because he loves his Dadda more, hai na? He isn’t Mumma’s boy?” and the two shared a hi-fi.
Swara pouted looking at their laughing faces. Varun and Ansh didn’t stop. They continued making fun of her and she was hot red by now.
“Awe! Cutie” both exclaimed pulling her cheeks alternately. She turned her face angrily again and the two laughed.
“Ansh, I wasn’t sure but now I’m sure. I married a joker!” the two laughed again. Swara forgot her worries watching the duo, father-son. She admired their bond and smiled. But how dare they tease her?..
She caught the broomstick in hand and ran behind them. Ansh hid behind the curtains but how could Varun hide? She made him run all around the house until she caught hold of him in the garden. The duo slipped in the muddy puddle and splash!!!…
Swara laid on top of Varun.
Chhuteya na chhoote mosey
Rang tera dolna
Ik tere baajo duja
Mera koi molna
Bolna mahi bol na
Bolna mahi bol na
He stared at her and kept staring. She wanted to move but his touch on her bare waist
Mm.. Mmm..
Tere liye aaya main toh tere sang jaana
Dholna ve tere nal jindadi bitavaan
Kadi naiyo chodna
Ishq di dor na
Saare chadh jaayein mahi
Tu na chodna
Bolna mahi bolna
Bolna mahi bolna
Mm.. Mmm..
His touch made her senseless. In no time she caught hold of his shirt and stared at his brown eyes. That spoke lots!!..
Tere sang hasna main tere sang rona
Tujhme hi rehna main tujhme hi khona
Dil mein chhupa ke tujhe
Dil naiyo kholna
Marke bhi mahi tose munh na modna
Bolna maahi bolna
Bolna maahi bolna
They came closer. Swara closed her eyes feeling his hot breath near her face.
Chhuteya na chhoote mosey
Rang tera dolna
Ik tere baajo duja mera koi molna
Bolna mahi bol na (bol na)
Bolna mahi bol na (mahi bolna)
“Mumma, Dadda what are you both doing in this rain??.. It’s so cold! And Dadda hannchhhiiiieee… I won’t play. Bubye!” Ansh said and ran to his room.
Both were emberrased. Swara couldn’t look up, she didn’t know what was happening! Though Varun knew he was in love!!.. Swara turned to leave.
“Hmm… Swara I wanted to ask you something”
“Ya speak” Swara said looking down. She didn’t dare to look up after what had just happened.
“Umm….Swara are you okay? I mean I’m watching you…. You aren’t okay?” Swara looked up-to his eyes and their eyes met. She had seen his genuineness and care for her. He looked into her eyes and he could find out her fear.
“Even though the future seems far away, it is actually beginning right now. You have time Swara, plenty of time!!.. Take it! I don’t want you to be fast. Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success. Let us always meet each other with smile, for the smile is the beginning of love” he kissed my forehead, carried me to the washroom and closed the door for me to change.
