♥Happy wala Birthday♥
Swara’s POV ~
It was my birthday, yet I was working my a*s off in the office since morning. Somehow, the idea of working on a birthday doesn’t seem to please me much. Birthdays are meant to relax the whole day and party at the night. Oh god..! I had become a complete party animal in these few months since I met these three lunatics. But wait..! Where the hell are they? Sanskar was very much excited.. He even called at midnight to wish me. And now.. Not even a trace of him..! Busy, they might be. ?
I left the office early and by 9 or so I was already at my place. Phew..! Finally me and my rosy cozy bed. ?
I finally reached the eighth floor where my apartment was. The door of the elevator opened and hell..! There were no lights. Does this mean that I have to go all the way down and inform the watchman. Nah..! I am surely not gonna do that. I was literally feeling lethargic. ?
I switched on my phone flashlight and made my way to my house. As I was about to open the door, I felt a hand rolling up my waist and covering my mouth. And in a matter of seconds, darkness surrounded me. All I could see was blackness. Tears started taking their place in my eyes. I was then dragged somewhere, despite of my earnest efforts to get out of the firm hold. ??
I stood there silently sobbing, when a beautiful voice came over to my ears.
“Happy birthday to you..
Happy birthday to you..”,
it continued as the voice approached me. A smile sprawled across my lips. The voice belonged to Ragini. I removed the black ribbon off my eyes only to be amazed. I was awestruck.. My house was so beautifully decorated with all the balloons and frills and stars and what not. And that wall.. The dull white wall was converted into a memory jar. It had the photos of all four of us.. And the FANTASTIC FOUR.. It was heavenly. I took my eyes around the whole place as I discovered little things of joy and there stood the two of them.. The actual reason behind this happiness. But wait..! Where’s the third one? Where’s Laksh?
‘Laksh? Where’s he?’ I asked curiously.?
‘Right behind you. Happy birthday Swara..!’ Laksh answered. ?
‘Yup..! He’s the reason for you being here. I mean, he was the one who brought you in with all that blindfold and stuff..’ Sanskar spoke up. ?
‘Omg..! Laksh.. You are so gone. I’ll kill you. Seriously. You almost gave me a heart attack. You dumb head, I hate you. I hate you so very much.’ I said in a mock anger. ?
‘And I love you..!’ Laksh said, as he pulled me into a hug. ?
Aww..! Both of them too came over there and we had a group hug. The group hug become a necessity, whenever anyone of us felt low or emotional. Tears started making there way to my eyes and I was almost on the verge of crying. But this was different.. These tears were not of pain, they were the tears of joy and happiness the three of them gave me. I was really lucky to have them all besides me.
‘Come on Swara, now get ready for the party.’ Ragini said as she too tried to control her tears. ?
‘Party? Who else is coming up? Or is it only four of us celebrating? We four are okay na.. I mean why to call anyone else.. And ha.. I’ll get ready fast.’ I said, pretty excited. ??
I stepped out of the room in a pink dress which was lying on my bed when I entered. It was definitely Ragini’s choice. And the moment I came out, rose petals and balloons were showered on me. Aha..! I felt like a fairy.. ?
And then appeared the trio with a cake. A big CHOCOLATE cake. Yummiee..! Ha ha..! I cut the cake as the trio sang the happy birthday song. ?
After finishing off with all the birthday stuff, Ragini came up with an idea to dance. Paper dance..! All we had to do was dance with our partner on a piece of paper, till the music goes on. The moment it stops, get off the paper and fold it once. And it goes on till one of the couples put their feet off the paper.
‘Okay .. So here are the papers. I’ll take the responsibility to play and pause the music. All right? So guys.. All set?’ Asked Ragini, as if we were going to make terror attacks. Lol..! ??
Ragini, as expected, coupled up with Laksh and hence, I was left with no choice other than to couple up with Sanskar. Not that I was upset, but since the day Ragini suggested me to date him, it seems to be little awkward. But I wasn’t giving up.. I had to win..!
Sanskar took my hand in his and helped me on the paper. I looked into his eyes, those deep and bright eyes. Oh gosh..! He was again driving me crazy. He held my waist as we swayed to the beats of the song.

Folds after folds of the paper continued and by now I was standing on Sanskar’s feet. One more fold and he picked me up in his arms and he still shook his body softly as the song proceeded.
Ragini and Laksh were already off the paper and we still danced, looking into each other’s eyes. And the moment Ragini paused the song, both of us realized our respective position and literally went poles apart. But anyways, we won..! Damn the closeness..! We won..! Yayy..! ?
Ragini, Laksh and Sanskar stood there laughing at me as my face expressions changed to that of proudness, as if I had climbed a Mt. Everest. It was then that I realized, how foolish do I look. Huh..! Silly me.. ?
