Let’s begin.
RECAP: Navya tells Ananya that she will threaten Sona, saying that she will kill Dev, if Sona doesn’t leave him.
AT COLLEGE:
Navya and Ananya meet each other.
Navya: Look, it’s simple. When we meet Sona, we will threaten her. I’m sure that she will leave Dev. She will choose his life over her love. And then, I will come closer to Dev, and he will fall in love with me.
Ananya: Ok.
IN THE CANTEEN:
Sona is walking towards the food stall, when she is stopped by Navya and Ananya.
Sona: Excuse me.
Navya: We need to talk to you.
Sona: To me? Ok, tell me.
Navya: Dev…. Your love, isn’t he? Just imagine, what if someone tells you that he/she will kill Dev if you don’t leave him?
Sona: Excuse me? What are you……
Navya: Just imagine, Sonakshi. In such a situation, what will you do?
Sona: I care about Dev’s life more than anything.
Navya (a wicked smile appears on her face): Then, get out of the imagination. We are telling you the same thing. Leave Dev, or else, he will die.
Sona: What nonsense? What are you talking?
Navya: It is not a joke, Sonakshi. His life, or your love? You choose.
Sona: I will not leave Dev at any cost.
Navya: Ok, then we’ll finish him off. Come on, Ananya.
Sona: Navya! Wait! (tears in her eyes) What do you want? Please don’t…….
Navya: Sonakshi…. Either your love or his life. Choose one.
Sonakshi (crying): Please don’t do this………….. I’ll leave him.
Navya (smiles): That’s it! The tragic end of their love story. Anyways, your love story was not going to last for so long….
Sona, in tears, runs off. Navya and Ananya look on, nastily smiling.
Navya: Ab aayega maza! (Now, it’ll be fun!)
Ananya: Now, Dev is yours.
Navya: Only mine…
Meanwhile, Sona has run to the washroom.
She sits there, weeping. She could have made the most difficult choices. Even if she was asked to choose between her life, and Dev’s, she would have easily replied “I can die for Dev, because of our ever-lasting love.” But, she was asked to choose between her love, and Dev’s life. She had never taken such a decision before.
Sona (crying bitterly): Why? Why did this happen to me? I can’t live without Dev! I can’t!
After giving herself the time to express her emotions, she finally comes out of the washroom.
Sona (in her mind): I have to act normal…
AT LUNCH:
Dev sees Sona walking towards the canteen.
Dev (shouts): Sona! Hey, Sona!
Sona hears his voice, but remembers Navya’s words, ‘His life or your love? You choose.’ She hurriedly walks off.
Dev is puzzled.
Dev (in his mind): I am sure she heard me. She was not very far away. But why did she walk off?
He follows her, all the way to the auditorium.
Dev: SONA! Sona, meri baat suno! (Sona, listen to me!)
He runs and holds her hand.
Dev: Why aren’t you listening to me?
Sona (trying to let go of Dev’s hand): Leave me, Dev.
Dev: First, answer my question. What are you….
Sona (starts crying): I don’t love you Dev! Just leave me!
She runs off, afraid that she might say what she isn’t supposed to.
Dev is shocked, and hurt. He wonders about what Sona had said. She didn’t love him?
He takes a glass, and throws it on the floor. It breaks, and the pieces are scattered.
Dev (shouts): What does she mean by ‘I don’t love you’?
Meanwhile, Navya comes there. She smiles, behind Dev’s back, and then runs towards him.
Navya: Dev! Ye kya kar rahe ho? (What are you doing?) These broken pieces of glass. You may get hurt!
Dev: Navya…
Navya (holds Dev’s hand): What happened Dev?
Dev, who is agonized and grief-stricken, tells Navya everything.
Navya (acts as if she is sad for Dev): Dev, please don’t cry. (she puts her palms on Dev’s cheeks) Don’t cry…
Dev, in a fit of distress, hugs Navya. Navya gives a wicked smile, and reciprocates.
They separate in some time.
Dev leaves the auditorium, while Ananya comes n.
Ananya: What happened?
Navya: Ha ha! Our plan worked, Anu. Plan worked!
Ananya: Wow! That was easy!
Navya: Give him some time. He’ll fall in love with me, also!
Ananya and Navya laugh.
AT NIGHT:
Sona is sitting on her couch, crying, with a pillow covering her face. Her family has gone out, to a party, and will return, only in 3 to 4 hours.
Suddenly, the doorbell rings. Sona wipes her tears, and rushes out to open the door. She is stunned to see Dev, standing at the door.
She tries to close the door, but Dev keeps it open with his arm. He enters the house.
Sona: Dev! Just leave! Go, Dev…. Go away!
Dev: Enough Sona! Bahut hua! (Enough is enough!)
Sona: Dev, I told you that I don’t love…….
Dev (puts his palm over her mouth): Keep quiet! I know that you love me. You love me more than yourself. I know it very well. Don’t try to mislead me!
Sona: Dev, please….
Dev: Sona! You know, you are the one person who brings a smile on my face. The one person, who I love more than my own life. I know that you are under some pressure. You love me, and I know that very well. Why is your face tear-stricken if you don’t love me?
Dev wipes her tears, with the back of his palm.
Sona (with tears in her eyes): Dev, I love you so much!
Dev: Why are you doing this?
Sona narrates everything about Navya had told her.
Dev reminisces the moment in the auditorium, when he had actually hugged Navya.
He too gets tears his eyes.
Sona: Sorry Sona… I’m so sorry.
Sona: Why, Dev? I should be the one apologizing……
Dev: No Sona.
He tells her about what happened in the auditorium, and starts crying.
Sona: It’s ok Dev. It’s ok. (She wipes his tears)
Dev: Today, I realized how much you love me.
They both share a tight hug. Sona close her eyes, and feels safe and comfortable, in the warmth of his arms.
They separate, in a while.
Sona: But Dev, Navya…..
Dev: Navya! We will deal with her. I will just go and give her one tight…..
Sona: Wait! We should make a proper plan…..
Dev and Sona sit on the couch, thinking.

Will Dev and Sona succeed in removing this thorn (Navya) from their way? How will they do so?
