The story starts with a flashback.
Kunj (Sidhant Gupta) was married to Maya(Priya Shinde) and loved her a lot. They had two children, but Maya wanted to be a working woman, not a mother. She meets Rohan (Karan Tacker) and he promises to give her everything she wants, so she leaves Kunj and marries Rohan.
Kunj is living a broken-hearted and bitter life, when his mother (Deepika Amin) makes him marry for the second time, against his will. His mother chooses a young woman from a lower-middle-class family named Twinkle (Jasmin Bhasin). Twinkle does not agree to this as she wants to marry her best friend Yuvraj (Zain Imam) .She goes to Kunj’s office and rejects him, where Kunj realizes that he cannot be defeated by any woman again. Using his contacts he gets Twinkle’s best friend transferred to Dubai. Yuvraj tells her to wait for their marriage where Twinkle realizes that he is a selfish man, so she decides to marry Kunj.
On the first night of their marriage, Twinkle finds out that Kunj has two children and is in shock. Kunj tells her that he only married her for the sake of his mother and his children. On the next day Twinkle goes to her home and asks her brother (Vishal Gupta) why he hid this truth from her, to which he replies that he only did it for her secure future. Twinkle’s mother (Vaishnavi) eventually finds out the truth and is devastated.
In the first few days, Kunj’s children hate her but eventually the children and Kunj also get closer to her. Slowly, Twinkle’s family start to accept her step-children as well.
Maya learns about this and tries to meet with her kids more often, as she doesn’t want them to forget her. She becomes jealous of Kunj and Twinkle’s relationship, as she feels that Kunj had truly loved none other than her. She brings her children to her house, to which Rohan disagrees. Rohan screams and misbehaves with the children causing them to leave. She tries to apologize to her children, but they still don’t talk to her. Maya starts regretting leaving Kunj for some time and calls him with the excuse of talking to the children, to which he says that he is going on honeymoon to Bangkok and the children are gone to London to meet there grand mother. Maya gets jealous and asks Rohan to take her to Bangkok as well. Throughout this time, Rohan is shown to be having an affair with Maya’s friend Ana, (Krystal D Zousa)and that both of them are using Maya for her money.
Kunj and Twinkle are followed by Maya to Bangkok. Rohan helps Twinkle as she was chased by a few robbers. Meanwhile, Kunj and Maya meet as Maya calls Kunj as she exchanges the phones purposely when they firstly met in Bangkok. When Twinkle finds out that Rohan and Maya are in Bangkok she freaks out fearing that she will lose Kunj to Maya .
Kunj tells Twinkle that he only loves her and will never leave her as he cannot live without her. Meanwhile, Maya continues to stalk Twinj. Kunj and Twinkle go back to India after Twinkles brother has an accident. Around that time Yuvraj returns to India. Maya upon learning that once Twinkle loved Yuvraj hires him for her own gain to make Kunj believe that Twinkle is cheating on him with Yuvraj. Maya makes Yuvraj believe that Kunj is a fraud person and uses girls . She also tells Yuvraj that Kunj was the only person who purposely sent him to Dubai so he can marry Twinkle. Yuvraj believes it and calls Twinkle and feels her to meet at a beach urgently. Twinkle, upon hearing the truth about Kunj still says to Yuvraj that she will forgive him as she loves him. Meanwhile Kunj is on the beach and believes Maya sayings as he sees Yuvraj and Twinkle at the beach talking to each other not knowing that Twinkle is asking him to leave her alone. Kunj kicks Twinkle out, and she is sent back home. Twinkle is devastated . So her brother goes to talk to Kunj and sees that he has invited Maya back into his home.
Maya and Yuvraj are also in cahoots as he wants everything from her including properties and money. Maya refuses and tries to sue him. Yuvraj upon knowing that Maya used him and she is only Faiz’s ex-wife he quits his job.
The children return to India find out that Maya is living there; they are not happy because they want Twinkle back. They go the next day to Twinkles home and asks Twinkle to come back home. Since Twinkle loves them she agrees.
Kunj Upon reaching home shouts what Twinkle is doing there and tells her to leave, he gives her the divorce papers to sign.
Rohan divorces Maya , and Maya tells him to be happy. Kunj meets with Rohan and finds out that Maya lied to him . Yuvraj apologizes to Twinkle about his behavior towards her and tells her that she is only of Kunj’s..Kunj comes home and apologizes to Twinkle . Twinkle forgives him.
Maya is shocked by the turn of events when she sees Twinkle ,Kunj and the kids going out for dinner and the kids tell her that she isn’t their mother. Then Maya goes to Rohan there she finds him with her friend Anam. Rohan tells her he’s leaving her for her friend, Anum. The end shows an angry Maya going back to her home alone crying. She goes into her room and starts saying that she has everything then why is she crying. Then she is drawing on the floor with her finger and starts laughing.
Meanwhile Kunj, Twinkle and kids are seen enjoying dinner and smiling!!
