Are you looking forward to Sony’s Porus?

Sony TV’s magnum opus Porus is much awaited. The promos are out and creating waves. The show is made on a grand scale. It has stellar cast and amazing VFX. It revolves around Porus, the king of Pauravas who fought with Alexander the Great in the Battle of the Hydaspes. The show is set around 350 BC, when India was one of the richest nations in the world and charmed by its riches. India was called a Golden sparrow, a land of wealth. Alexander tried to invade India, but Porus was the one who stopped him.

By the promos, the show looks too majestic. The mega show is made on a budget of 500 crores, setting a new record for small screen. It is a finite series, having 260 episodes. It is shot in the beautiful locations of Thailand. It will surely be a visual treat for the viewers. Lakshya Lalwani has been roped in to play the role of Porus, while Rohit Purohit plays the role of Alexander. Rati Pandey, Aditya Redij, Praneet Bhat and Ira Dubey will be seen in supporting roles. The historical show is going to raise interest with every episode, once it starts airing in coming month. Porus will present the unseen grandeur of ancient India. The show has impressive VFX, costumes, close to reality ancient sets, and striking looks of the characters. Are you looking forward to Sony’s Porus? Let us know your opinion.
