This is my first fan fiction and I hope you all will like it…I thereby introduce my fan fiction ‘LOVE AND DESPAIR’ to all…Your suggestions and opinions are all welcome. It is your reviews that can improve my fan fiction a lot…..Here comes the intro…
INTRODUCTION:
Siddharth ‘Sid’ Shanker, the son of businessman Tej Shanker and Mallika Shanker, is a carefree, young spirited man who always thinks ‘Life’ to be a fun ride. Ishani Singhania, daughter of Rajveer Singhania and Gurpreet Singhania, a couple who run a school, is a girl who’s practical and sensible and thinks ‘Life’ to be a journey filled with hardships, worries and struggles.
Two people. Two minds. Two aspects of life.
What will happen if their paths cross each other in the journey called ‘Life’? Will it end up in LOVE or DESPAIR?

CHAPTER 1
At Shanker Villa:
Mallika Shanker, with a coffee cup in her hand, goes on walking and knocks at someone’s door.
Mallika : Sid, open the door. I have brought coffee for you. Open the door fast. I have got some work to do.
Door opens. Now, we see Sid’s face who has finished taking a bath.
Sid : Thank you, Mom. I have become a good boy now. See, I woke up early today.
Mallika : What do you mean by you woke up early today? You didn’t wake up early by yourself. I had to pour a glass of water on to your face to wake you up. Or else you would have slept till afternoon!
Sid : Oh Mom! You are correct. I woke up early because of your glass of water. By the way, who is the mastermind behind the pouring of water onto my face?
Mallika : That’s none other than your own sister Shikha!
Sid : I knew it. She is the one. Let me show her who I am…
Mallika : Before you show off, come and have breakfast downstairs.
Sid : Ok, Mom.
At the dining table:
Sid : Mom, where is Shikha?
Mallika : She is upstairs, she will come now. No need to make a fuss right now with her in the morning. Have your food.
Just then, Shikha comes.
Sid : Hello, my darling sister! So you are the one who poured water onto me right?
Shikha : Yes, that’s me. How was it?
Sid : Great! Fantastic! Marvelous! Amazing! (sarcastically)
Shikha : Anymore words of appreciation?
Sid : I am speechless. But, let me tell you. If you do this once again, you will get it from me for sure.
Shikha : Do anything. I am least bothered. Okay?
Mallika : Stop fighting and have your food, you both.
Sid : Mom!
Mallika : Nothing more, Sid. Have your food.
Shikha laughs.
At the living room:
Sid is watching TV. Mallika enters.
Mallika : Sid, will you please reduce the volume of the TV and listen to me?
Sid reduces the volume.
Sid : Yes Mom. Tell me.
Mallika : What are you future plans? What job are you going to take in?
Sid : For now, I am not planning to take any job, Mom.
Mallika : Then when are you going to plan about your future? If you haven’t got any job opportunities, then why don’t you join with your father and take up his company?
Sid : Mom, you have told to me about this a hundred times. And I have replied to you again a hundred times that I am not interested in taking up dad’s company!
Mallika : Son, you will have to decide about your future very soon. See, life is not a joke as you think. Time doesn’t wait for anyone.
Sid : Oh mom! Don’t worry. I will manage. I know how to lead my life well. If you are worrying about my life, don’t worry. You guys are there. Without mom, dad and Shikha, my life is incomplete.
Mallika : Well, we will have to add one more person to make your life complete ( She laughs)
Sid : Are you talking about marriage, Mom?
Mallika : You guessed it right.
Annoyed, Sid gets up from the sofa and goes hurriedly to his bedroom.
Mallika : (Thinking in her mind) I wish there would be some girl who can change him for good.
PRECAP:
Sid and Mallika discuss about marriage. Later, Sid, while travelling in his bike, hits another scooter.
