The Maheshwari mansion was decorated with flowers, lightings and every other thing which makes the mansion beautiful after all it was the only maheshwari’s Son’s engagement.
Sanskar was looking at the mirror all dressed up in his engagement suit. He looked extremely dashing today and adding more to it his eyes reflected the amount of happiness and joy he was going through. He took out the beautiful ring which he brought for his swara.
He was looking at the diamond ring with lots of love. Sujata came to call her son and found him smiling, looking at the ring. She smiled and came to him and placed his hand lovingly on his head. Sanskar looked at his mom and smiled at her.
Suj: My son is so happy itseems.
SAN: Of course mom.
Suj: May ur happiness last long.
She blessed him.
Suj: Come let’s down and give me the ring.
Sanskar gave her the ring and he went with his mom downstairs.
After 10 minutes……
Swara came in all gorgeous wearing a beautiful lehenga along with dida. Sanskar looked at her lovingly and swara cheeks heated up with his intensive gaze. She came and stood beside sanskar.
SAN: Looking gorgeous my love.
Swara blushed more.
Ram took the mick and started speaking making everyone gain attention to him.
Ram: Good evening everyone. It’s a great time for us as it’s my son’s and my daughter’s wedding. Thank you everyone for coming joining us on our special day. We would like to start the engagement cermony now.
Sujata forwarded the ring to sanskar and he slided the ring on her hand. She looked at the ring lovingly as he didn’t show her the ring. Dida forward the ring and swara too slided on his finger. Both gave a smile to each other.
After sangeet it was their haldi and mehandi function and it also got over (Sorry I had to skip them?)
it’s night and the next day swara is no more Ms. Bose she will be Mrs. Maheshwari. She was so happy to get a love like sanskar, parents like ram and sujata who take care of them like their own. She was happy but she was a little sad as her dida will be left alone. Thinking all this she slept.
Next day:
Bose mansion was decorated more than the bride as it was their daughter’s wedding. Each and every single decoration were adding more beauty to it. Swara was all ready in her wedding lehanga. Today she looked extra gorgeous. The glow on her face today was not present on any other day. Dida came to check on her grand daughter.
Swara hugged her dida.
Dida: Today I’m so happy you know. I fulfilled the promise that I made to ur mom and dad. They wanted u to have everything the best. I tried my level best for that and now u r going to get a wonderful family were u can live on from now. My blessings are always there for you Shona.
Dida said lovingly and swara broke the hug.
SWA: U didn’t try but u always gave me the best dida. I love soooooo much.
Swara kissed her dida’s cheek.
Dida: K k enough, ur groom is desperately waiting for u and if u don’t go down then he might himself come here to take his bride down?.
SWA: Didaaaaaa……
She blushed and both went down. Just like about 50 people were present as sanskar wanted to have a private marriage as he doesn’t like being so grand while swara always wanted to have a big fat wedding but sacrificed it as she didn’t want sanskar to feel bad. She didn’t tell him that she wanted the wedding to be grand and if she would have told then it would have definitely been a wedding she expected.
Dida made swara sit beside sanskar. Both smiled looking at each other and pandit was going through all the rituals by line.
It was varmala ritual were the bride and groom exchanges garlands. Swasan stood up and both were having garlands. Sanskar was about to put the Garland on swara while she was lifted up by laksh.
Lak: Not so soon sanskar ?.
Sanskar pouted.
SAN: R u my best friend or hers?
Lak: Take it what ever you want but today I’m on swara’s side.
Sanskar smiled while swara was so happy.
Sanskar somehow managed to put the Garland on her after a great difficulty. It’s now swara’s turn. Ram lifted up sanskar.
SWA: papa that’s unfair.
Ram: Not today my daughter.
Lak: When laksh is here y u worry.
Laksh lifted up swara too and swara immediately puts the Garland on him.
After that swasan again sat before the scared fire. They were following up the instructions what all r given by the pandit.
Pandit: Who’s the bride’s parents? They have to do kanyadhan.
Swara’s smile vanished remembering her parents.
She was missing her parents so much today. Sanskar knowing her feeling just tightened his grip on her hand making her look at him.
SAN: Don’t cry I don’t want a crying bride.
He told to make her mood light while swara smiled seeing his attempt.
Dida: Her parents aren’t here so I’ll do the kanyadhan.
Pandit agreed and the kanyadhan ritual went well.
After that pandit asked swasan to tie the khatband to take mangalpheras (7 vows). Dida tied and swasan stood up for the mangalpheras. As swara has to lead the first 3 rounds she stood before him. All started showering flowers on them.
First Step
Sanskar : “Om esha ekapadi bhava iti prathaman”
“My beloved, our love becomes firm by your walking one step with me. You will offer my food and be helpful in every way. I will cherish you and provide for your welfare and happiness and that of your children”.
Swara : “Dhanam dhanyam pade vadet”
“I humbly submit to you, my lord. Kindly give me the responsibility of the home, food and finance. I promise you that I shall fulfil all responsibilities towards the welfare of the family and the children.”
Second Step
Sanskar : “Om oorje jara dastayaha”
“My beloved, now you have walked the second step with me. Fill my heart with strength and courage and together we shall protect the household and the children.”
Swara: “Kutumburn rakshayishyammi sa aravindharam”
“My lord, in your grief, I shall fill your heart with courage and strength. In your happiness, I shall rejoice, I promise you that I will please you always with sweet words and take care of the family and children. And you shall love me and me alone as your wife.”
Third Step
Sanskar : “Om rayas Santu joradastayaha”
“My beloved, now you have walked three steps with me. By virtue of this, our wealth and prosperity are going to grow. I shall look upon all other woman as my sisters. Together, we will educate our children and may they live long”
Swara : “Tava bhakti as vadedvachacha”
“My love, I will love you with single minded devotion as my husband. I will treat all other men as my brothers. My devotion to you is that of a chaste wife and you are my joy. This is my commitment and my pledge to you.”
As swara’s round was over sanskar took the lead.
Fourth Step
Sanskar : “Om mayo bhavyas jaradastaya ha”
“My beloved, it is a great blessing that you have walked four steps with me. You have brought auspiciousness and sacredness into my life. May we be blessed with obedient and noble children. May they live long.”
Swara:”Lalayami cha pade vadet.”
“My lord, I will adorn myself from head to toe with flowers, garlands and ornaments, and anoint myself with sandalwood paste and fragrance for your sake. I will serve you and please you in every way I can.”
Fifth Step
Sanskar : “Om prajabhyaha Santu jaradastayaha”
“My beloved, now that you have walked five steps with me, you have enriched my life. May God bless you. May our loved ones live long and share in our prosperity.”
Swara : “Arte arba sapade vadet”
“My Lord, I will share your joys and sorrows. Your love will make me trust and honour you. I will carry out all your wishes.”
Sixth Step
Sanskar : “Rutubhyah shat padi bhava”
“My beloved, you have filled my heart with happiness walking six steps with me. May you fill my heart with joy and peace at all times and seasons.”
Swara: “Yajne home shashthe vacho vadet.”
“My Lord, in all acts of righteousness, in material prosperity in all enjoyment and divine acts, I promise you I will participate and I shall always be with you.”
Seventh Step
Sanskar: “Om sakhi jaradastayahga.”
“My beloved, as you walked the seven steps with me, our love and friendship became eternal. We experienced spiritual union in God. Now you have become completely mine and I offer my life to you. Our marriage will be forever.
Swara : “Attramshe sakshino vadet pade.”
“My Lord, as per the law of God and the holy scriptures, I have become your spouse with the taking of the seventh step. Whatever promises we gave, we did so with a pure mind. We will be truthful to each other in all matters. We will love each other forever.”
Taking these 7 vows to each other both sat.
Pandit: Fill the maang of the bride
He said giving sanskar the sindoor. Sanskar took a pinch of sindoor in his hand and placed it on her maang. Both shared a short eyelock and then he tied the mangalsutra (scared necklace) on her neck making her his from now on and forever.
Panditji declared their marriage and both went took blessings. After few rituals it was bidaai now.
Swara hugged dida. While dida was having tears but Swara was all smiling or to say she was controlling her tears.
SWA: Com’mon dida u made me promise not to cry and now u r crying that’s unfair.
She wiped dida’s tears.
SAN: Dida we r not going to any abroad we r here only just call me once we’ll be here in 5 minutes.
Dida: I know but take care of Shona sanskar.
SAN: U don’t believe me? (Dramatically)
Dida smiled.
Suju: Ma don’t worry we’ll take care.
Ram: Swara sanskar go sit in the car.
SAN: Dad keys.
Ram: Keys for what? Driver is there.
SAN: U take the driver, I’ll drive.
Dida: Love birds want to spend time alone na! Right sanskar.
Sanskar was embarrassed while swara blushed.
SAN: Swara come.
He dragged her and both sat on the car. He sent the driver out.
All went to the house.
Sujata kept the rice pot in front of the door step.
Sujata: Kick the pot and come in beta.
Swara kicked the pot and then placed her legs on the kumkum water and went to the in house temple. After praying all were standing in the hall. Laksh was also there.
Suju: I’ve arranged for the pre ritual so let’s start.
All sat on the couch.
Suju: Now sanskar has to find his name in swara’s mehandi.
SAN: This is y u didn’t show ur mehandi to me?
He wispered in swara’s ears while she nodded in yes.
Ram: let’s start.
Lak: But with a small change (smirked)
SAN: What?
Lak: With a time limit of 2 minutes.
SAN: What? That’s unfair.
Suj: Unfair right, let’s change the time limit to 1 min 30 sec
Sanskar pouted while swara and ram giggled.
Lak: Swara show ur hands and sanskar said when I say start u will look.
He said looking at his watch.
Lak: Start.
Sanskar started searching desperately.
SAN: Godddd where it is ?
Ram: Son only 45 sec left
SAN: Don’t disturb dad.
A broad smile came on his lips.
SAN: I found.
Lak: just 9 sec were left.
SAN: Somehow I found it na!
Suju: Next ritual, come everyone.
Suju had a ring and a pot placed on the floor with milk.
Suju: I’m dropping the ring in and u have to find it. Let’s see who does it.
Suju dropped the ring and swasan started searching for the ring.
Ram: Sanskar u have to win.
Suj: Swara it should be u.
Lak: Swara Com’mon u can do it.
Dida: Sanskar it should be u.
Lak: dida when u came?
Dida: Now only.
SWA: Dida u joint his team? How mean! It’s k I have mom on my side.
SAN: Mom r u my mom or her’s u r not taking ur son’s side?
Ram: It’s k son I’m here na!
Suj: What r u both doing in? I asked u to find the ring.
SWA: I found the ring.
SAN: No I have the ring swara don’t cheat.
SWA: Y will I, show ur ring out.
SAN: U show!
SWA: We’ll show it together.
SAN: k 1

Both showed the ring.
Suj: Sanskar my son u’re having swara’s ring.
All were suppressing their smile. Swara was blushing hard while sanskar was totally embarrassed.
Lak: My brother we asked u to take the ring but instead u r romancing ah?
Ram: U’ve made me feel low.
Suju: The same thing happened with me and ur dad.
Dida: History repeats u see?
Ramta and swasan blushed.
Suju: K that’s enough for today. U both go take rest.
Ram: Sanskar u wait here.
Suj: U come swara.
Sujata took her to the room and left. Laksh left. After few minutes sanskar came to room. He thought that she would be in bed waiting for him but she was sitting near the dressing table. She had removed her veil and took off the bun into loose hairs and she also took off her maang tika. She looked more pretty with loose hairs in her lehanga.
SAN: Swara.
Swara looked at him and smiled.
Sanskar came near her and sat on his knees.
SAN: U look a little dull what happened?
SWA: I’m tired.
SAN: k u go change ur dress and come we’ll sleep.
SWA: No I have no strength for changing and all.
SAN: Do u want me to help?
SWA: I know what u will do, please I want to sleep.
SAN: K at least remove the jewelry na?
SWA: it’s k, Sanskar
She forwarded both her hands to him like a kid. Sanskar smiled and took her in his arms and made her lie on the bed and he to lied beside him.
Sanskar took her in his embrace and kissed her forehead.
SAN: Thank you for coming to my life swara.
SWA: Aww love you.?
She peaked his cheeks.
SAN: Love you ❤
