RECAP: Swara in danger..!!
SANSKAR’S POV:
Sometimes…this weather is really unpredictable…!! From morning onwards….sun danced on the Bombay streets…as if it’s going to burn it up…!! But now…by the evening…huge black clouds gave their surprise appearance… getting ready to give their performance…!!!
While riding my bike… the cool winds started hardly hitting my chest…asking me to feel them… but I am not in a mood…!! My mind is busy in running around the thoughts of all these four days…!!
I still remember…how harshly I spoke to her…on that day…!! I couldn’t realise it…until I came out of the alcohol effect…the next morning…!!Her teary red eyes…her hurt face…flashed in my mind…!! I shouldn’t have said that…!! I immediately ran to speak to her…but only found her room locked…!!
I waited for her whole day… until she came back from office…!! As soon as she entered… I rushed to her… but she…without even giving a glance to me…walked straight to her room and bolted it…!!
“Swara..!! Open the door…!! I need to talk to you…!!” I banged the door many times…but no response…!! This is the condition everyday…!! She comes out from room in the morning…and goes directly into her room ignoring me at night…!! She stopped lifting my calls and I don’t know whether she reads my messages or not…!!
It’s really a hell for me…staying without listening to her voice… without facing her angriness…without watching her smile…everything…!! Day by day I am become restless about her…!!
Unable to bear anything further… yesterday night I angrily blocked her way…and pinned her to wall tightly to confront her… as soon as she entered…!! As usual…her head was still facing down…with no movements from her… which increased my anger much more…!!
“Look at me swara…!!” I said in a serious tone…!! But again no response…!! I forcefully lifted her head to face me… but I am shocked seeing her…closed teary eyes…!! She closed her eyes determined not to face me…but I could see her tears flowing out continuously…!!
I loosened my grip…as soon as those tears fell on my hand… and she immediately pushed me and ran inside…!!
I couldn’t believe what I saw…!!She is CRYING…!!! I expected that she would be angry on me…!! But why is she still crying??!! “Swara…please open the door…!! Please…!! Talk to me…!! I am really sorry…!!” I pleaded…banging her door… but all I could hear is light sobbing sounds from inside…!!
I hit the nearby wall with force…frustrated on myself…!! It’s all because of me…!! I once again became the reason for her tears…!!
‘Swara…!! Please…!! I am sorry…!! Please…talk to me…!! I can’t take anymore of your silence punishment…!!’ I messaged her this afternoon…!! As usual…no response…!!
Now…I am strongly determined to solve this matter… at any cost… today itself…!! Let me see how she can ignore me at her office like home…!!
Stopping my bike…near flower shop…I bought her favourite tulips…!! I hope she would get delighted and forgive me seeing these…!! ‘5.15pm’ my watched showed…indicating me that I need to hurry up…!! As I about to start… a sudden strong wind blowed…because of which flowers bunch fell and got dragged on to the road centre…and within no time…a lorry went on…crushing them completely…under it’s tyres…!!
I don’t know why…suddenly…I felt worried seeing it…!! Uff…!! Brushing away my thoughts…I went to buy one more bunch…but came out disappointed…as they were over…!!
Without wasting further time…I rode to her office…!!

“Office is closed sir…!! Today is half-day…!! Everyone went…!!” Watchman said…!!
‘What the ****??!!’ I thought to myself…!!
“What happened to other security??!! Why only you are present??!!!!” I asked casually…starting my bike…!!
“Sir gave holiday to them too sir…!!” he said…!!
Suddenly I found…lights getting off… from the office…!!
“You said no one is there…!! But why lights are on till now??!!” I asked him…!!
“Sir is still present in office sir…!!” He replied…!!
“It’s ok…!! Have a great lonely night duty…!!” I said to him… and rushed my bike…!!
Suddenly…my phone started ringing and rain started at the same time…!! Increasing my speed…I reached under the tree…at the end of the street… and lifted call there in nick of time…before it could get cut…!!
“CAUGHT YOU BABY…!!” I heard from other side along with some crash sound… before I could say hello to them…!!
“How much time will you hide under this desk??!! Come out dear…!!” it continued…!!
I know this voice…!! Who is he??!! Suddenly I heard a scream…!!
“Swara???!!” I immediately shouted…!! It’s swara…!! It’s swara’s scream…!!
“Swara?!! Where are you??!! Are you ok??!!” I started shouting worried on phone… but no reply…and suddenly it got cut-off..!!
I recognised his voice…!! It’s adarsh…!! Ooh No…!! Is Swara in danger?!! Where are they??!! I started getting panicked…!!
“Sir is still present in office sir…!!” watchman words crossed my mind…!!
That’s it…!! I ran back there without wasting time…!!
“Sir…Office is closed…!! You can’t go inside…!!” watchman blocked my way…!!
But I just pushed him…and ran opening gate…!! When I reached the door…I found it locked from out…!!
“Sir…wait…!!” that watchman came there…running…!!
I forcefully held his collar and asked angrily… “You said your boss is inside… and why is it locked??!!”
“Sir…!! He told me to lock it from outside…and not to open it…until he calls me back..!!” he said scared…!!
“And you did it…without asking anything??” I shouted at him…for which he gulped…!!
“Open the door…!!” I ordered him…!!
“Sir told…” he tried to speak…!!
“OPEN…!!” This time I shouted…!!
Being scared…he opened finally… and we both were shocked seeing the scenario…!! She was laid on some table…while adarsh opening his shirt buttons looking towards her with lusty eyes…while other two… busy in setting up some camera…!! How dare… they bas***ds??!!!
“ADARSH…SAHIL…!!!” I shouted immediately and ran towards them…!!
I could see fear and shock in their faces…as soon as they saw me…!! Giving no time gap…I started…hitting all those 3 idiots…!! I became a wild beast…and started beating them…with some hard object that came to my hand…!! We all four had been rolling, falling and running…but I didn’t leave them at all…!!
“How dare you to touch my wife??!!” I broke adarsh hand… while other two were busy in stopping me from killing him…!! I gave a hard punch to sahil in his stomach…for which he yelled in pain…!!
Getting scared… that unknown guy…started running away…to escape from situation towards the main door… but got bumped into police…who just entered along with watchman…!!
Two more police came towards us…and separated me from beating that idiot adarsh… who is almost about to die…with blood oozing out…!! They arrested all three…!!
‘SWARA…!!’ SHE immediately came to my mind and rushed towards her…before police…!!
I am almost in the verge of crying…seeing her condition…!! Her shirt torn…and tear strained face…with swollen closed eyes…and hair messed up…!! Closing my eyes…I removed my shirt…and covered her… to make her presentable…!!
What if…I didn’t come on time??!! What if…I didn’t lift the call??!! What if… I didn’t plan to meet her today in office??!! I couldn’t have never forgiven myself…if something happened to her…!!
“Swara…!! Swara…!! Get up…!! Please open your eyes…!! See me..!! Talk to me…!!” I pleaded patting her several times… but no response again…!!
She was immediately taken to hospital…!!

“I am really sorry swara…!! It’s all because of me…!! If at all I wouldn’t have…argued with you on party night…you would not have faced this danger…!! I might have saved you… but I failed to safeguard you…!! I failed in my responsibility…!! But I promise you once again swara… I would never let anything happen to you…!! Just get well soon…and set things back to normal again…!!” I said… resting my head on her hand…while she was still sleeping on hospital bed…!!
“Sir…!!” someone called me…and I turned back..!!
“How was madam sir??!! What did the doctors say??!!” Watchman asked with concern…!!
“She is fine…she will wake up within few hours…!!” I answered him…!!
Watchman (guilty): “Sir I am really sorry sir…!!Actually I don’t know madam was inside sir…!! I came on evening duty…!! Sir asked me to lock it from outside until he calls him back… and even I too followed without thinking much…!! I really don’t know this will happen sir…!!”
Me(interrupting): “It’s ok…!! You didn’t do any wrong…It’s just a mistake…!! Don’t feel sorry…!! Infact…thank you soo much for bringing police on time…!!”
Watchman(still guilty): “No sir…!! If something would have happened today… this incident would have haunted me throughout my life sir…!! I know…I am watchman sir…!! Being a watchman… I not only guard office…but also observe all office people sir…!!
Even though I never talked to madam…I feel that she is just like my mother sir…!! My mother is even a strong, self-respected, hardworking woman sir…!! She even struggled soo hard to raise me in my childhood…!!
But me being a small child…couldn’t save her from this cruel world sir…!! I just watched her…going away from this world leaving me…!!”
I saw tears forming in his eyes and I consoled him…!!
Watchman(wiping tears): “But I am happy today sir…!! I am happy that madam got saved…!!Today God proved to me he do exists sir…!!”
We talked little things…and finally he went away…!!

“Please…please…leave me…!!” I heard her murmuring and got up…!!
“Swara…??!!” I slowly called her…!!
She started clutching her bed…sweating heavily and crying…!!
“Swara…!! Nothing happened…!!” I tried to calm her down…holding her hand…but the nightmare increased for her…and she started moving her legs and head immensely…!! I more I tried to calm her down…the more she is becoming vigorous…!!
“SWARA…!!” I shouted finally…and she woke up with a jerk…breathing heavily…!!
I called her once again slowly…and she turned to my direction…!!
“Sans..kar…I…they…office…!!” she tried to speak with me in between her sobs…!!
“Shhh…!!” I calmed her once again… cupping her face and wiped her tears…!!
“Nothing happened swara…!! You are saved…!! Police arrested them…!! Don’t think much about it…!! It’s just a bad dream…!!” I told her…!!!
“Sanskar…but..they…” she again started crying…!! I tried to console her…but she is not listening…!!
That’s when I got an idea and started speaking… “Areyy…swara…!! Are you crying for this small thing??!! What about the words which you used to say…that you are brave, you are strong etc..etc…!! Are all those fake… and your show-off??!!”
I started my melodrama… “I am not like any other ordinary girl…!!” I mimicked her…!!She immediately wiped her tears… saying… “No no…!! I am not going to cry for this thing…!! I am really strong…!!”
Even though situation was not apt; I couldn’t help out in preventing myself admiring her cuteness …as she said this while wiping her tears…!!
We both talked for sometime…and I somewhat made her set to little normal…!!
“Now take rest…!! Since you woke up…I will go and call doctor…!!” I said making her sleep… and got up…!!
But she held my hand and stopped me…!!
“Sanskar please sit down…I need to talk to you…!!” she said getting up again…!!
“We can talk even later…!! But now you need rest…!!” I said removing her grip slowly…!!
“No sanskar…!! Please…!! I want to talk to you right now…!! I can’t take it anymore…!! For 4 days…I have been feeling a lot of suffocation!!” She started crying once again…!!
“Swara…!!” I started speaking… but she interrupted me saying… “ Please don’t make me stop now…!!”
“You are right sanskar… I am selfish… and I do things which returns benefit…!! This is what I learnt to be sanskar…!! But I never went against my values…my parents had given me…!! Yess…Sanskar…!! I am stubborn…but I am not bad…!! Yess…!! I may under-estimate or misunderstand few situations…but I am not immature…!!
I wanted to get my promotion…through my hard work…and impressing boss in a good way… but not by any other means…!! I wouldn’t have never cared…if someone had spoken non-sense…but I am really hurt…when you have said those words…!!”
She paused a bit wiping tears…and continued further…“I tried…!!! I tried to forget about it…and make the things normal again…but I am unable to…!! I don’t know how I became this much sensitive…or why I was unable to get over those words….!! But…whenever your words cross my mind…I started feeling guilty… that you didn’t forget anything…!!
“I know sanskar… that I married you for my freedom…!! But I really didn’t think much at that time… and I am really sorry about it…!! I don’t know what to do to set it right…!! But…please sanskar…!! I can’t be like this…!! These four days are really torturing…!! I wanted to be happy always…!! Please…forgive me…!!” she said and again started crying loudly…!!
My heart is aching badly…seeing her crying out… like that…!! But I didn’t stop her this time…because this is what she want to do…and need to do…!! She is pouring out her feelings stored up in heart…!! My eyes started moistening…listening to her…!!
It’s all because of me…!! I still remember… how hard it took time for her…to come out from the guilt of marrying me…!! I still remember…how much she suffered at that time…thinking about it…!! But I…without thinking… accused her…bringing out past issues… getting carried away by that idiot words…!!
Before tears could fall down…I closed my eyes… and engulfed her into a bone-crushing hug…!!
“I am sooo sorry swara…!! I am really very very sorry…!! I hurted you soo much with my words…!! I never meant them actually…swara…!! I lost my mind at that time…!! I am sorry swara…!!” I spoke… controlling my tears…!!
After consoling for sometime…I made her face me…!!
I cupped her face once again…and said… “And regarding forgiveness…yess…you have done a mistake…but I am equally responsible for it too…!! So there is no point of feeling guilty for it…!! We have discussed about it…long back before the start of friendship right??!!”
Swara: “But…!!”
Me(interrupting): “No more but’s and if’s…!! I told you right… I never meant them…!! And I promise you swara… that I will never hurt you once again…bringing back our past issues…!!”
Swara(innocently): “So are we friends like before??!!”
Me(lightening situation): “Offcourse…everything is just like before…!! You are there to cook food and I am there to cut vegetables…!! You are there to wash clothes…and I am there to dry and iron them…!! You are there to order me like boss… and I am there to obey you like servant…!!”
Swara: “Hawwww….!! Am I ordering you??!! Idiot…!! Can’t you do small and simple works even??!! Let me first go home from here…then I will show you… how bossy I am…!!”
“Oooh…God…!! Save me…from this devil…!!” I started my drama again…and she started choking my neck with her hands…!!
Finally…my four days of emptiness got filled…!! I got her back…!! My crazy…bubbly…short-tempered…lovely official biwi cum friend… is back…!! I wish…we both could be together like this…for lifelong…!!
