Her sister has bought her daughter a barbie with pink hairs that was still a little big gift seeing Kavya’s age.

Though it was a new place for the little girl she was liking the company of her Nanu and his family.

“Twinkle beta! I am taking her to the park,” taking Kavya in his arms Vivek replied.

“chaliye hamari shahzadi, Park jane ka Waqt ho gaya.” he told the little girl and she smiled at the mention of going out.

“Twinkle, didn’t feel it s already ten days.” her mother replied seeing her daughter lost somewhere.

“time keeps running Ma, has someone ever controlled it?” she mumbled.

“she was never this lost Ma, it was me with all those deep talks and all,” Kasturi whispered behind her.

“i shiver with the thought of what she is going through… it just has been a few months but she has stood strong.” mother’s eyes glistened with tears.

“dont worry Ma, it is good our Twinkle is not going to be alone anymore…touchwood.” keeping her head in the crook of her mother’s neck Kasturi thought something.

“Twinkle, your jeeju is asking when he should come to meet you?” attracting her attention Kasturi spoke aloud.

Kasturi’s in laws lived in the same city and so it was easy for her to visit her parents often.

“aren’t you staying today?” Twinkle asked finally coming into the conversation.

“I’ll come back tomorrow but today I need to go because one of Anuj’s collogue has invited us and it was planned earlier so I need to go.” Kasturi replied feeling ashamed.

“anyways Anuj will come to take me and I’ll go from here only,” Kasturi told her unpacking all other gifts she has brought for her.

“Di, what is all this?” seeing the number of toys and baby clothes Twinkle’s eyes grew suspicious.

“arey, you know na how much I love kids, every time I visited malls I brought a few things for my niece.” arranging everything beautifully on the little wall almirah Kasturi replied.

“sorry Di, I was miserable… here you came to meet me and I was troubled in my own thoughts.” hugging her sister from behind Twinkle whispered.

“i am fine Twinkle, don’t think I am upset…now I don’t get.” Kasturi replied caressing Twinkle’s cheek.

“with time we learn living with things…by the way, tell me what does Kavya like to have, I’ll cook… did you notice any allergy or something, tell me prior.” Kasturi’s face changed a hundred emotions in no time.

She was married for 7 years now but still no babies, from the last five years they were trying but with time Kasturi’s hopes were shattering and so was her dream of a baby.

“no …no allergies I noticed by far.” Twinkle replied staring her sister with no visible tension and busy in her work of arranging the toys.

“then that’s good, papa is not letting us have her… Don’t know from when he got so interested in babies.” Kasturi muttered lowly.

“do you remember how he used to get irritated with the kid of Sharma uncle I used to bring in house.” she reminisced the memory at least older than ten years.

“the one who made a regular to wipe his nose on Papa’s towel.” remembering the strange habit of the little boy Twinkle replied.

“perhaps your Papa’s insensitivity towards him irked him and he took his revenge that way.” their mother joined them with the tray of fresh peaches and apples.

“so how come this big change Ma?” Kasturi asked their mother dramatically.

“well, the grandkids have their own effect, daughter.” cutting the fruits lady in a cream color kurta replied.

Somewhere these words made damages to the soul but the person kept quiet and managed a smile on the face.

“i saw the picture of Bebe and Bua…” she answered him.

“bua’s company is working for Bebe,I can see she is learning so many new things…like this UPDATING A STATUS.” Kunj spoke smiling on his mother.

“i am happy she has a curiosity to learn new things.” Twinkle replied flatly.

“is there a problem?” he asked her.

“no…” she answered in a low voice.

“i’ll cut the call if you don’t …

“Actually, things are happening so fast. Is it okay if we don’t talk till I am here?” she spoke saltly.

One more time she was rude to him; she felt it after saying the words but she just couldn’t help it, she didn’t feel positive talking with him in front of her family.

“oh, off course! I understand.” he replied in no time.“take care of you and still you can call me whenever you feel like.”

Seeing the blank screen she felt utterly stressed but it was needed cause she didn’t want her parents or her sister to feel anything which was not true.

“You could have said those things a little politely, he already has called you after a week.” her heart showed anger.

“don’t know why she started crying, seeing Anuj… Kasturi said as she carried a crying Kavya on her hips.

“Perhaps she saw him for the first time so got afraid.” Twinkle replied taking the girl in her arms.

“i’ll come in a few minutes after making her sleep, wait for me before leaving with Jeeju.” she patted the tummy of the baby as she started to hum some song for her.

“i know how to make her sleep, don’t you advise me,” he replied resuming his pats.

“well, who I am to say anything and have you ever listened to my words?” she commented.

“oh please Twinkle, remember all the times you didn’t listen to me.” he fought back in a low voice.

“this way you might scare her Mr father!! she taunted again.

“look who has a high tone Mrs mother.” he taunted back.

“Kunj, give her to me I’ll make her sleep.,” she asked him again.
”don’t you dare come near the bed, I said I can make her sleep… you go and complete whatever you were doing.” he spoke stretching himself on the bed.

“at 1 in night, no one does anything…

“well, in that case, you can sleep peacefully Twinkle.”

“but Kunj, she might need to be fed.”

“in that case, I’ll understand and give her to you.”

“and how come you would get an idea about she being hungry?” she asked him putting her hands on her hips.

“that is not important for you to know,” he replied back-patting the baby who has turned silent seeing these people bicker on each other.

“were you two always like that?” a new voice asked them.

Both were surprised at the voice and turned to the door.

A girl, not more than 6 or 7 years old was standing there eyeing them sternly. And she looked familiar.

“we were not fighting Dear,” Kunj replied meekly to her.

“dont lie Paa” she crossed him.

“We were trying to make your little sister sleep Kavya,” she told the half truth.

Kavya !!! no wonder why she looked so familiar.

But How come her daughter turned this big?

The questions puzzled her mind for a while before her eyes opened and she realized it was a dream and her Kavya was sleeping beside her.

“has her brain already started fascinating such future?” she asked herself getting up to meet her sister and Jeeju who have long gone unknown to her.
