Her heartbeats were erratic with every moment that was passing like a year, she could not believe something like this has just happened.
They were all so good and life was turning to normal then how could Destiny play like this to them.
Her family along with her friend’s wife and one innocent life were struggling for life in the same hospital and they had nothing in hand than to wait for the doctors who were operating and observing them.
Her brother didn’t want her to attend this reception but she had insisted to go and even called Dhruv to accompany her, why on earth she didn’t hear her brother.
Kunj’s love was a debt on her and this debt took every asset she had, he had taken everything that was hers’s and now one more part of her life was struggling for life.
Her mother’s shoulders were her only refuge but today they seemed broken, the lady looked broken due to this accident.
It seemed the clouds of disappointment were a constant to her, Dhruv’s life was a responsibility on them since he went to the party along with Neha.
The tears had no control on them and along with her patience, they too were falling from her grip… Now it was enough of being a strong mother to Neha, a strong friend to Uma and a strong woman as a whole.
“i’ll come in a moment,Ma.” Neha left her side and the ferocity terrified her mother.
“what happened Neha? don’t go anywhere…please.” she pleaded to her.
“i need to talk to someone…Don’t worry Ma, when I didn’t die back then I won’t die anytime soon,” she whispered with a determination.
“sister, don’t say such things… You are a human for God’s sake and let’s not lose hopes.” Her brother backed her immediately.
“Dhruv needs our positive vibes the most this moment.”
“we cant forget about Kunj, Lil brother…I’ll go and see him,” she answered softly.
“This is the reason for everything that happened today.” her brother seethed with anger. “this unconditional love for Kunj which doesn’t leave you is the reason for this accident.”
“Abhi, stop it…this accident didn’t happen because of Kunj.” their mother interrupted him.
“i am not saying this happened because of him, but why did she come to this party…I know how hard it was to see them Married and happy.” Brothers understand the sister the most.
“i had to come,I can not ponder over something for the life Brother…and please no discussions, let me go to him.” without waiting for any more words her eyes declared their decision. “no one has ever stopped you from anything but earlier your wishes were rightful and today you do everything blindfolded in his love.” with that his brother left the corridor.
“you do understand me Dad, don’t you?” with teary eyes she pleaded her father to accompany her to Kunj.

“what do you want to say that it would be hard for him to stand on his feet.” Kunj’s tone leveled up with the news that the biker won’t be able to walk again on his feet due to a severe spinal injury.
“We doctors are only telling you the truth, also since it has been a road accident, police might be approaching the hospital so be ready to manage them, Gentleman!!.” The doctor stated the situation and warned about the coming one.
“I’ll manage that but please take care of him and meanwhile I’ll wait for someone to call him back so we can inform the family.” he requested them walking back to the chairs and starting one more round of a torturous wait for the family of that man.
“Kunj…” Neha’s voice bought him back to this life.
“hey… why you are here…Go to the operation wing. I’ll manage here.” he told her keeping his hands on her shoulders as if telling he would take care of it.
“he will be fine na?” she asked him looking into his eyes as if getting his assurance will calm her down.
“don’t lose yourself Neha, let’s keep our trusts intact.” and he hugged her breaking soul.
“i won’t be able to forgive me Kunj if something happens to him… I wanted a new life with him I swear I wanted to start afresh.” the words muffled by her cries echoed his chest.
“its okay… everything will be fine.” he patted her back wishing the same.
He was not strong enough to bear it all and suddenly Neha’s father was there.
“Kunj, your mother wants to talk with you.” he extended his phone.
“oh, I think i gave my phone to Twinkle at the party.” now only he was conscious that his phone was not with him.
“Yeah, Ma,” breaking the hug he took the call.
“What, what happened to her?” he was shocked.
“wait for me, I am coming home,” he replied and was ready to move.
“Kunj, what happened ?” wiping her tears Neha asked him.
“i don’t know, Bebe told me Twinkle is unconscious for the last two hours, she was trying my phone for so long and when I didn’t respond she called uncle’s,” he explained and moved to meet the doctor in charge.
He had to tell the doctor that he was coming back to the soonest in case the man gained consciousness.
“doctor, provide him the best possible at this moment… don’t worry about money,” he instructed as he made a mad dash to the exit.

“i think the accident shocked her and bought back any old memory.” the doctor told after the diagnosis and as he heard from the family.
“yeah, around a few months back we lost my son, her husband in a terrible accident… at that time she was in ICU for a week.” Uma told the incident
“oh…I understand. Perhaps her brain reconnected her to that accident, it very common to join two different incidents for such people.” the doctor replied after he kept his fingers on her pulse.
“Doctor, how long will it take for her to gain consciousness.” A visibly shaken Twinkle’s mother asked him .“she has a young daughter who will need her mother soon.”
“see, I can’t say how long will it take but I think we should let her rest for a while if she does not wake in a few hours then take her to the hospital,” he advised the family.
“Ma…Ma…” Kunj’s voice boomed in the drawing hall.
“Why didn’t you take her to hospital Ma, and uncle you too didn’t tell her anything.” an angry Kunj enquired them.
“Kunj…what is this son…this much blood,are you hurt my dear.” Shail ran to him who didn’t see him at the time of the accident .
She didn’t know it was not him who was hurt.
“i am fine Bua but where is she and did you call any physician or” he was cut by Shail.
“son, calm down… the doctor is checking her, we waited for you but when you didn’t take our calls then we called him and she is fine… the doctor is positive she will gain consciousness in a few hours.” Shail calmed him down.
“oh…I’ll see her,” he told them and was about to rush in.
“Kunj, it would be better if you change the shirt first, this white shirt is stained and anyways you are coming from the hospital…” Shail stopped him and he didn’t argue knowing she was not in danger.
