Nandini runs to Manik, who has a lil scratch on his forehead, she makes his head lie on her lap n shouts
“Bring the First-Aid box, John, Dad doc ko call kiya?? asked Nandini n Raj nods in yes….
John brings the First-Aid box, a lil late n Nandini is pissed off n shouts
“Don’t u have something called speed, y r these legs for, to run not juz to walk” John is freezed on his place seeing Nandini’s anger….
“Ab kya hua, koi bhoot dekhliya, give the box dammit….” John comes back to sense after listening her shout n gives the her….
She starts cleaning the blood, kisses his lil scratch lovingly n puts a bandage there
MD’s POV
Baap are, ye ladki hai ya kuch aur?? Mai bhi itna nhi chillati, bechara John kitna darr gaya tha, ek pal ke liye toh mai bhi dargayi thi (tch tch bechari Dadi bhi dargyi ?) lekin phir mai hosh mein agyi ki mein ghar ki badi hoon, n I can’t be scared of a girl….

MD’s thoughts came to hault when Doc arrived, Manik was now already placed on couch, Doc checked him n said
“He is allergic to black pepper, u all know right??” questioned Doc….
Nyoj n MD nodded but Nandini nodded in a no….
“Shit, sab meri galti hai, I should have known toh yeh sab nhi hota” said Nandini cursing herself….
“That means uss soup mein bla—” Nyo got cut
“Yess Mom, it has black pepper” said Nandini….
“Kesi biwi ho tum, apne pati ki itni choti baat nhi pata toh kya pata hai??” said MD being back to herself….
“Sorry” said Nandini n went upstairs….
“I vil take a leave I guess….” said the Doc noticing the surroundings
“Yah I vil leave u till the car” said Raj n both men left outside….
“Dekha tumne, kesi chali gyi wo” MD shouted at Nyo n Nyo sighed….

Juz then Nandini came back with a small duvet (or blanket) n MD widen her eyes as now she realise y Nandini left n Nyo smirks at her….
Raj comes inside n gives a paper to Nandini saying
“Ye lo, ye medicines manga lo” said Raj patting her head n Nandini nods….
“John” calls Nandini n he immediately reaches there making MD shock….
“I am sorry maine tumse rudely baat ki but uss waqt my priority was Manik so, u know na….” said Nandini lowering her gaze….
“Nandini, it’s k” John said chuckling, Nandini glared at him n MD toh fully shocked….
“Itna shock hone ki zrurat nhi hai Maa, yaha sab Nandini ko Nandini hi bulate hai, kyoki wo kisi ko bhi paraya nhi smjhti sabko jod ke rakhti hai, aur apka wo test thik nhi tha” whispered Nyo to MD, at first MD smiles inwardly but then gets shock how Nyo knows abt the test….
“Maa, aap mujhe abhi bhi nhi samajh payi, mai Reena Malhotra ki bahu ho, kuch toh asar hua hoga” said Nyo smirking n MD sigh….

John leaves to bring medicines n all leave for their rooms, except Nandini, she sits beside Manik near the couch n
Nandini’s POV
How dumb can I be?? I didn’t knew this chotu thing that Manik is allergic to black pepper, but no one said me about it na, so how can someone expect me to know everything abt him, well Dadi is right, kesi biwi hoon mai, waise I should be sad abt Dadi being angry on me but I knew somewhere that Dadi would be same like daily soaps Dadi, u all know right…. Now stop talking to urself n check John returned or not….

Juz as the thinking session ended John entered the Mansion, handed Nandini the medicines n
“He vil be fine” said John keeping his hand on her shoulder n she smiles….
Nandini sat at the couch wid a book, n started reading it, it was evening now n she saw Manik abt to fall from the couch n ran to him, she made him wake up but bcoz of the dose Doc gave him, he was still sleepy….
Nandini made him lie comfortably n was getting up when she found Manik has clutched her hand tightly in his, she smiled n sat their itself….

After awhile, Nandini checked the time n was shocked as it was dinner time, she freed her hand n went too kitchen but to her surprise dinner was already ready n then she saw John removing his chef cap n she undersood, she went to him n
“Thank u so much” said Nandini….
“U r welcome Ma’am” said John bowing down n Nandini chuckles….

Nandini came out n saw Manik sitting on couch confused, she smiled n
“Hmmm, hubby is in confusion” said Nandini sitting in front of him….
“Yes wifey I am, but how do u know??” questioned Manik….
“Itna toh mujhe pata hoga, ki jab tum confuse hote ho toh aise karte ho” said Nandini roaming her hands in her hairs acting like Manik n he makes a bad face n Nandini goes awww on him….
Nyoj n MD came to living room n saw Manik sitting on couch n Nandini in front of him, Nyo went to them n
“Kesa hai mera baccha??” asked Nyo being a mother….
“I am fine mumma” said Manik like a 5 year old boy n Nandini chuckles….
“Oye khotte de puttar, itna bada hgya hai, shaadi bhi hgyi hai, phir bhi bacho jesi harkat” said Raj coming to him….
“Aap toh aise keh rahe ho jaise aap aisa kuch karte hi nhi ho, apki ek bahu bhi hai ab lekin phir bhi aap bacho jaise behave karte ho” said Manik….
“Ek matlab, Raj ki do bahue hai na” said MD….
Nyoj sighed n changed the topic, all had dinner in peace….

It was late night, MD woke up to drink water, but to her dismay no water was there, she went out to take water when she saw Nandini preparing coffee n (thinks) whom she is making coffee at this time, MD silently wait outside, she sees Nandini gng in study room, she follows her n sees….
Raj n Nandini laughing on something, n thinks to eavesdrop
“Dad, kab khtam karoge kaam, it will effect ur health” said Nandini in ever so caring tone….
“Bas hjyga….” said Raj….
“Mom ko pata chala toh apko chodengi nhi woh” said Nandini….
“Aur Nyonika ko kon btayega??” asked Raj….
“Mai” Nandini said smirking n Raj’s smile chuu-mantar….
MD thanked God for giving her family a loving n caring DIL, she left for her room, after awhile Raj n Nandu also left….

Nandini reached her room n found Manik sitting, resting his head on bed board, she went to him, sat beside him n

“Tum chlgyi, neend bhi chlgyi” said Manik placing his head on her lap….
“Pucho he nhi mai kaha gyi thi??” said Nandini ruffling his hair….
“No”
“Why??”
“Bcoz I don’t need to, I trust u” said Manik n it touched her heart….
“Agar mai kahi bhaag jati toh??”
“Toh mai tumhe bhaagne hi nhi deta”
“Acha”
“Yup, ab let’s sleep”
Nandini nods, lies beside him n both drifts to sleep….

Next Morning, all were seated in living room after having breakfast when MD said
“Harshad aur bahu kab aarahe hai??” qs MD….
“Wo—” Nyo got cut
“Agaye hum” all turned to see the source of the voice n found Harshad standing their wid a girl in a cute baby pink frock….
All went to them, Nandini instructed John to bring the puja thaal n went to them
“Agya tu” said MD giving blessings to Harshad who was bending down….
“Haa agya” said Harshad smiling….
Nyoj had tears seeing Harshad, Nandini eyed them to smile which they happily did n welcomed the new bahu but not as Nandini bcoz for MD she already did her grah pravesh….
Nyo did aarti, Harshad took her blessings too, then Raj’s blessings n at last a brotherly hug wid Manik….
“Apni biwi se nhi milwaoge” said MD….
“Of course, meet my wife Soha Khurana oops Soha Harshad Malhotra” said Harshad….
“Hello” said Soha n Nandini (thinks) yeh kya kar rahi hai, pata nhi hai kya, Dadi hai Dadi, ab kya hoga iska….
“Hel—” MD got cut….
“Soha chalo, hume bhut saari baatein karni hai” said Nandini n Soha nods being confused….

Both leaves from their, Nandini takes Soha to her room n
“Wo sorry I had to bring u here, u have to change ur clothes” said Nandini….

“They r but Dadi don’t like chotu clothes”
“Oh ab samjhi isiliye The Nandini Murthy iss get up mein hai”
“Haa, ab jaa”
“Pehle ek jhappi dede, itne din baad mil rahe hai”
“Uff thik hai” saying this Nandini hugged Soha….

Soha took the clothes which Nandini gave her, after 10mins both came down n Manik gave Nandini a questioning look n she blinked her eyes saying everything is ok, the eye talk came to an end when
“Bhai, Dadi kabse awaaz de rahi hai, agar tum dono ki aankh micholi khatam hgyi ho toh” said Harshad….

“Sorry, boliye Dadi”
“Mai kya bolo?? qs Dadi….
“Bhai ne kaha ek min aap mazakh kar rahe the” qs Manik to Harshad n he smiles innocently….
“Bhaii” shouts Manik n hits him wid the pillow n Harshad laughs….
“Mandir le chalo” asks Harshad to Soha who sits beside him n Harik burst out laughing while Soha gets angry but controls it….
“Manik stop laughing” says Nandini placing her hand on his mouth….
“Agar aise rokugi hasne se toh mai pura din has sakta hoon” said Manik winking at Nandini….
“Besharam biwi se bhi flirt” qs Harshad….
“Kya karu bhai, ab biwi agyi hai so koyi aur ladki se flirt bhi nhi kar skta, toh—“
“Toh patni se krga, tch tch kya halat hgyi hai mere bhai ki” said Harshad….
“Bhaiii” shouted Manik….
“Chup dono, bade yhiper hai, par dikh nhi raha, sirf bkwas kiye jaa rahe ho” said Nyo….
“I missed u so much Mom” said Harshad sitting in front of Nyo n placing his head on her lap….
“Tu toh aise keh raha hai jaisa barso baad mila ho” said Dadi….
“Barso se bhi zyada din baad mila hai Maa” whispered Nyo n ruffled Harshad”s hair….
“Mai bhi hoo yaha” said Manik, sitting beside Harshad n placing his head on Nyo’s lap too….
“Ha ha, tum bhi ho” said Nyo ruffling Manik’s hair too….
“Ye acha hai, dono apni Maa ke pass, aur mere paas koi nhi” said Raj wid a sad face….
“Kyu teri Maa hai na, aaja idhar” said Dadi n patted her lap n Raj ran to her n placed his head on her lap n she too ruffled her son’s hair….
Nandu n Soha were admiring them with a beautiful smile on their faces, while Nyo was happy to have her son back….

“So ab batao, tum dono ek dusre ko kese jaante ho??” asked Manik to Nandini n Soha….
“We are friends” said Nandini taking her night dress out….
“Yah college friends” said Soha….
“Toh Nandini tumhe nhi pata tha, ki tmhri iss friend ka bf mai hoo??” qs Harshad….
“Nhi, she never said me” said Nandini n went inside the washroom….
“Ise kya hua??” Qs Harshad….
“She is angry wid me” replied Soha….
“Why??” Qs Manik….
“Bcoz I never said I loved Harshad, on her engagement I asked her to send me her would be’s pic as I wasn’t in country at that time, n I was shocked at that time but I let Harshad go for Nandini’s happiness”
“Who said I was happy??” Qs Nandini crossing her arms….
“I mean when I saw ur smile in that pic, I thou—“
“U thought I am happy, u didn’t understand me still na” asked Nandini sitting beside Soha….
“But agar u let Bhai go, then y that suicide thing??” Qs Manik….
“Wo it was a confusion, my servant saw me with rope which I was tieing at the ceiling n thought I was gng to suicide so she called Harshad” said Soha laughing….
“What” qs Nandini n started laughing….
“N I was shocked seeing her totally fine” said Harshad with a pout n Manik strted laughing….
They all spend a lil more time teasing n Haso left for their room….

It was morning, Nandini n Soha were in kitchen, preparing brkfst, juz then Harshad sneaked in kitchen n back-hugged Soha while Nandini smiled
“Harshad leave me” said Soha

“Dadi” says Manik entering n Harshad left Soha while Manan burst out laughing….
“Manikkk, teri toh” said Harshad n started chasing him while he made Nandini his sheild n held her in front of him while Harshad said
“Nandini move”
“Don’t move Nandini”

“No don’t move”
“Shut up u both” said Nandini….
“Jao dono jaakar bahar baitho” said Soha, both the guys nodded n left from there while Nandini n Soha burst out laughing.

“I will be late today, eat dinner n sleep” said Manik n n Nandini nodded making him wear his blazer….
Manan came down, while Nyoj also came from their room, Haso was already present their with Dadi, men left the house, women started gossiping.

It was lunch time, Harshad n Raj returned back, Nandini n Soha were in kitchen, while Dadi n Nyo were busy talking, both men sat down n Nan brought tea for Raj n he smiled, while Soha brought juice for Harshad n he smiled.
“Kuch sikho apni bahu se, mere aate hi dekho kese mere liye chai lekar agyi” said Raj patting Nandini’s head n Nyo huffed….
“Dad, aap bhi na, ab kese manaoge Mom ko??” Asked Nandini….
“Mera apna andaz hai, kal tak zrur maanjaegi, tum chinta mat karo, but be ready Manik se naraz rehne” said Raj….
“Par kyu Dad??” Qs Soha sitting beside Raj….
“Kyuki aaj janaab ghar late aanewale hai” ans Raj….
“Kya late par kyu??” Qs Nyo….
“Haa bol kyu aane wala hai late??” Qs Dadi….
“Haa Dad y??” Qs Harshad….
“Wait, pehle Nandini ko toh puchne do” said Soha….
“Right” said Raj….
“But mai kyu pucho, mujhe pehle hi pata hai, unhone subah hi mujhe bata diya tha” said Nandini innocently….
“Kya??” Qs Raj with wide eyes….
“Dad aap itna shock kyu ho??” Qs Soha….
“He never said anyone till today ki he vil be late aur hum sab usse gussa ho jaate the n later wo hume manata bhi tha” said Raj….
“Oh God Dad, aapne to dara hi diya, itni si baat ke liye aap itna shock hgya” said Nandini n went inside the kitchen followed by Soha….
All had lunch, later Nandini went to her “Mayka”, n returned at evening….

“Usne kaha na, he will be late so don’t worry aur khana kha lena” said Nyo patting Nandini’s head n she nods….
It was 2am n still no sign of Manik, Nandini sighed n ate her dinner, washed the dishes n slept keeping her head on the dining table….

It was 6am when Nandini woke up n found herself at the same place n understood that Manik hasn’t returned yet, she freshened up n was gng to prepapre breakfast when she heard door bell n ran to the door. She opened the door n found Manik standing with red eyes which were sleepless, his blazer in one hand n tie loosen, Nandini took him to their room n made him sit saying
“I vil bring brkfst” n he nodded
After 10mins she returned n found Manik sleeping, she sighed n removed his shoes which he was still wearing….
She came down n prepared breakfast for everyone, it was 10 n all came down when Dadi asked
“Nandini, Manik aaya??”
“Yes at 6, ab so rahe hai”
“Kya 6, kya kra raha tha itni der tak??” said Raj….
All were seated for eating breakfast when Manik showed up, he sat beside Nandini n Nandini got up, all were confused but then she went n brought coffee n breakfast which she prepared when Manik came….
“Ye lo, eat this”
“As u say madam”
All chuckled n Nandini sat beside Manik n all had breakfast….

“Pucho ge nhi sab se zyada kon preshaan hua tmhre liye??”

“Tumhe kese pata??” qs Soha
“Toh aur kon ho sakta hai??” Qs Manik
“Mujhe laga Nandini kahoge” said Soha with a cute pout….
“Kyu preshan hui thi yeh??” asked Manik pointing Nandini….
“Nandini aur preshan, no way, kesi biwi hai, hum sab prshan the, aur yeh tv dekh rahi thi, hum sab ne itne call kiye tumhe par isne ek bhi nhi”
“What ek bhi nhi??” qs Manik shocked….
“Toh kya hua, nhi kiya I am not typical wife jo baar baar fone karke husband se puchti hai, ji aapne khana khaya, aapne coffee pi, aapne yeh kiya, apne woh kiya” said Nandini mimicking while all giggled n Manik was surprised….
“Seriously!! Ek bhi nhi??” qs Manik…
“No, n waise bhi tumhara fone dead tha hoga” said Nandini….
“Haa but tumhe kese pata??” Qs Manik….
“Ye kesa sawaal hua, humesha aise hi hota hai, tv par nhi dekha, wife apne husband ko fone karti hi n after 3-4 calls ke baad batata hai, the number u r trying is switched off” said Nandini crossing her arms while Manik clapped n said looking up
“Hey bhagwaan, kesi biwi di hai mujhe”
All laughed n went from there, while Manan were still there, Nandini was gng when Manik held her wrist n Nandini closed her eyes, he pulled her back n her back collided with his chest, he whispered
“Ek bhi call nhi kiya??”
“Nhi”
“Kyu??”
“I knew na, u vil be busy in work n agar mai karti bhi toh tum nhi uthate”
“Aur agar mai kaam nhi kar raha tha aur kisi ke saath tha toh”
“Toh kya, kaam ki baat kar rahe the hoge”
“Nhi, agar kuch aur kar raha tha toh”
“Aap waisa kuch nhi karoge”
“Acha, tumhe aisa kyu lagta hai??”
“Bcoz”
“Bcoz” said Manik making her turn….
“Bcoz I trust u” said Nandini looking in his eyes n he smiled ear to ear, n pulled her in a tight hug while she too hugged him with a smile….
After 4 days
“Manik” said Nandini….
“Haa” said Manik….
“Chodo mujhe” said Nandini breaking the hug….
“But—” Manik got cut by Nandini….
“What but Manik, see am I crying??” Nandini said pointing her cheeks….
“No, oh I forgot that u r an unique peice, u never cry” said Manik sarcastically….
“Good, that u remember I am an unique price, so now leave me n go to Mukti, (pointing Mukti) see how she is crying, go” said Nandini….
“U r right” said Manik n went to Mukti so was seated on the bench….
“Mukti, stop crying, please….” said Manik….
No response, Manik sat n took Mukti in a side hug, while Cabir noticed Mukti, went to Nandini n whispered something to her, she nodded….
Both went to Mukti n Nandini said
“Mukti, y r u crying, Abhi is my best friend but I am not crying, but u toh hate him na, (taking a drop of tear) then y these tears??”
“No response”
“Oh cmon, now don’t act, inside u r very happy” said Nandini….
“What r u doing Nandini, now is not the time to discuss these things” said Manik….
“Chup Manik, she is very happy that Abhi met with an accident, n now these fake tears, she is —“
“Juz shut up Nandini, please….” said Mukti….
“Y should I, n stop shedding these tears, n if they r true also, what relation u share wid Abhi that u r crying this much” said Nandini smirking….
“These tears r bcoz I Love Him” shouted Mukti angrily….
