Manasi Salvi joins the cast of ‘Ghum Hai Kisike Pyaar Mein’ in a Maharashtrian avatar

Manasi Salvi, known for her previous work in Junooniyatt, has recently made an entry into the popular TV show Ghum Hai Kisike Pyaar Mein. With the show taking a leap, Manasi is now portraying the role of a mentor to Savi, portrayed by Bhavika Sharma.

During a recent interview, the actress talked about it and expressed her thoughts on her new role. She said, “I want the audience to watch and connect with my character. Playing a Maharashtrian character is particularly special to me as I am a Maharashtrian myself. Many years ago, I worked in a Marathi show called Asambhav, and now, after nearly two decades, I have the opportunity to portray another Maharashtrian character. I enjoy adorning the traditional saris and chandra bindis associated with this role.”

Regarding her departure from her previous show Junooniyatt after just a few episodes, Manasi explains, “In February, I had relocated to Chandigarh for the show, and everything seemed fine initially. However, after 12 episodes, I felt that things were not progressing in the right direction, and I made the decision to quit. There are no hard feelings, and I can say that I was also missing home, so it was best for me to return and explore other opportunities. Sometimes, we choose things believing they are perfect for us, but destiny has different plans. On a lighter note, I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Chandigarh and indulging in Punjabi cuisine.”

In her previous show, Manasi portrayed the role of Gautam Singh Vig’s mother. When asked if she was dissatisfied with her role, she responds, “There were no issues with the role itself. I never take up anything unless it holds substantial significance. Let’s just say it was a short and sweet journey, and its conclusion turned out to be for the better.”
