Manav Gohil talks about his love for Gujrat and Gujratis; says, “Gujaratis are lambi race ka ghoda”
Manav Gohil, who currently essays the lead role in the show Main Hoon Aparajita is super excited for Gujrat Day which is celebrated on the 1st May of every year. Talking about it in a recent interview, the actor shared that he loves everything about Gujarat.
Manav said, “Gujarat is one of the most stable states in the country and I believe that our mindset also reflects that. Gujaratis are usually very composed and don’t panic easily. That is why they make for reliable leaders, be it our Prime Minister (Narendra Modi), our likely future cricket captain in T20 internationals (Hardik Pandya, who has already captained the national team a few times) or so many others in different fields. They are lambi race ka ghoda and they work very hard towards achieving their dreams, which makes them winners.”
He added, “I am also very proud of our rich heritage. Recently, I visited Dholavira and Rani ki Vav (UNESCO World Heritage Sites) and I felt awestruck. Our literature is rich too, and I feel proud to belong to a lineage like that. While people still love jokes about fafdas and khakhras, Gujarati food is loved across the globe. I love the way Vadodara, my hometown, is growing in terms of infrastructure but has still retained its green cover. Our roads are excellent and the moment I enter Gujarat from Maharashtra, I start enjoying my drive! Talking of the Gujarati entertainment industry, I love the fact that experimental films as well as OTT shows are being made now. There is still a lot of scope for improvement, but we have some excellent writers and directors now, and the future looks promising. I have enjoyed doing Gujarati films like Saptapadii and Dhantya Open, and I am eagerly waiting for more exciting scripts to come my way.”
