Scene 1
Gayatri and Lakhsmi video call Mangal and Kusum. Gayatri says we feel so proud. Everyone was asking about her. And Omesh sent the video to all his foreign friends. Karthik says bhabhi you are done a wonder. You are so brave. Lakshmi says she is gonna get an award. Kusum says yes, I taught her the speech as well. Lakshmi and Karthik wish her all the best.
Scene 2
The event starts. Mangal says Adit didn’t come. Kusum says he would. Karthik and Lakshmi also came there. The host welcomes Mangal on the stage. Kusum sends Mangal to the stage. Mangal comes to the podium. ADit also comes there on the stage. Mangal is happy to see him. Adit says Mangal’s whole world is husband, kids, and in-laws. This is what Mangal lives in. She will never say anything for herself. She makes her identity with her deeds. I am her husband, Adit Mangal Saxena, proud to attach my wife’s name with mine. Everyoen claps. Lakshmmi cuts the orange for Karthik. Gayatri checks it. Karthik says so much effort on one orange? is should eat something else you both shouldn’t worry so much. Lakshmi and Gayatri say together this is nothing to worry about. They smile. Sanjana says Lakshmi is becoming like her mother-in-law. We have to see if you’d become like your dad too. Right? Time comes back. Gayatri says shut up. Karthik says Lakshmi stay ready we will go to Mangal’s event.
Scene 3
Mangal gets ready. Kusum says you look so good. Adit comes home. Mangal says you came on time. We’re all ready. He says Mangal meet them, this is my boss from the US. He introduced the client to the family. Adit says Mangal please make traditional Indian food for sir. He loves it. Who can cook it better than you? The client says I think they were going somewhere. We should come some other time. Adit says there’s no such thing. Kusum says yes. Adit says they’re not going anywhere. Right Mangal? He grabs her hand. She says yes. Adit says go and cook something for sir. She gets teary.
Karthik helps Lakshmi with fixing her saree. His sleeve also gets pinned in her saree. they both laugh. Karthik takes it out. Lakshmi says can I ask something? He says yes.
Kusum says to ADit what is this? Mangal has to go to the award function at 7. He says my boss came from the US. I forgot about it. He wanted to eat traditional Indian food. Who cooks it better than Mangal? Kusum says you could have invited them another day. When will she go for her function? Adit says they’d listen. I can’t offend my boss for Mangal’s useless award. He came to our place, can’t you see that? He gave me so much respect. Should I send them back? Gayatri says but Mangal is also getting such a big award. If you had told your boss he would have changed the time as well. Adit says okay I will tell them to go. I made a mistake that I thought about everyone’s betterment. Lakshmi says Karthik you care about the smallest things for me. You always think about things I want. You even understood I wanted to go to Mangal’s award function. Are you doing all this as needed? If that’s the case don’t be under any pressure. Our marriage is a compromise, you wanted someone else in your life. Lakshmi nods. He says Mangal is my favorite, I’d have gone to her function even if we didn’t get married. We will enjoy together now. You can appreciate me directly. They laugh.
Mangal says don’t say no. Kusum says what are you saying? When will you go to the award function? Mangal says it’s okay. We can’t upset Adit’s boss. It’s about his success. Papa says Mangal you can prepare the food and Adit and I will serve them. You kids and Kusum can go to the function. Adit says I can’t insult my guests that my family isn’t here. it’d be an insult.
