Adit says no one needs a cultural girl these days. The guys want a partner who can walk with them, go to parties with them, who has social media presence, who know the world. Who can talk to the world and men. Who have seen the world. What else would you talk about with your partner? Just food and kitchen. Guys these days want a wife not a maid.Mangal isshocked. Kusum says stop it. What rubbish are you saying. Are you in your senses? Was your mom a maid? He says that era was different? She says so men don’t eat at home these days, their kids don’t go to shcool? Their house isn’t clean, they go to parties after office and show off their wives to their colleagues. We will both find a guy for Lakshmi that the world will appreciate. You will see. He leaves in anger. Kusum says Adit is so wrong. She wipes Mangal’s tears adn says clean up the glass. She stands in shock.
Scene 2
Lakshmi serves the food. Lippika says khichdi again? Shanti says you hid the chickpeas for yourself? Lakshmi says you asked me to make khicdhi. She says bring chickpeas for me and you eat the khichdi. Lippika says I need 500 for a dress. Shanti says where will we buy Mangal’s gift? Lakshmi will get us insulted again. Lakshmi says we can get a sofa fo her new place. I am trying to arrange money. Shanti says she’s not your real sister. Lakshmi says for her smile I can give my life.
Mangal picks the glass pieces. She thinks about what Adit said. Kusum comes and says it might hurt someone. I know Adit hurt you a lot. She says your hand is bleeding. See.. She picks Mangal and applies medicine. Kusum says don’t cry. I told you to be strong. Don’t cry. She takes off the coat. Kusum says don’t cry. I will talk to Adit and make him understand. He said all that in anger. He’s not too wrong. You couldn’t understand what your husband likes and what makes him happy. You had to change yourself according to him. I am not saying this because he’s my son but this is better for you. Try to understand him. You fixed Lakshmi’s proposal and didn’t even tell him. She says I tried to tell. Kusum says forget it all. Lakshmi calls Mangal. She says Lakshmi will realize from my eyes that I’ve cried. Lakshmi wonders why she’s not picking up the call. Mangal thinks about everything and cries. She texts Lakshmi she’s having coffee with Adit, she will call tomorrow. Lakshmi replies you enjoy the coffee with him. I was scared he’s mad at you. Thank God everything is fine. Mangal gets teary. Mangal replies everything is oka. Lakshmi says the day feels incomplete without talking to her.
Mangal comes to the room. Adit is asleep. She leaves his water bottle there. Mangal sees his phone in hand. She picks it up so it doesn’t fall. Adit wakes up adn snatches the phone. She says sorry I was putting it on charge. He puts it in charge and ignores her.
Scene 3
Mangal does arti the next morning. She says why can’t I keep Adit happy? Where am I at fault? I’ve hurt Adit that’s why he’s mad at me. I tried everything. I don’t know what’s my mistake. Adit shouts will I get the coffee today? She rushes and gives him coffee in the room. Mangal recalls what he said. Mangal asks how can I keep you happy? I want to become deserving of you. He says don’t bother too much. I was angry last night. Everything is fine, let it be. He says give me my towel. Mangal says okay.
Mangal gets Kusum’s clothes ready. She says you made really good tea today. You make such perfect tea. Mangal thinks about Adit saying men want a partner these days not a maid. Kusum says give me Lakshmi’s kundli. I will look for a guy. Mangal says I made a huge mistake. I thought Sachin was the proposal and they did this. Kusum says so much drama happened. Mangal says I will give you her kundli. She says we have to find a guy together. Adit was one in a million. He’s good-looking and talented and see how I found you for Adit. You’re well-cultured and pretty. Don’t worry I will find a good proposal for her.
Mangal looks at Adit’s chair. He doesn’t come downstairs. Kusum asks Ishana to book an auto for her she’s to go meet choti dadi. Ishana says to take the cab. She says your dad earns, we shouldn’t waste money. Mangal says Adit can drop you. Adit says I can drop you amma. She says no I will go from auto. You’re busy. Adit meets the kids. He asks the kids to get their bags. Adit says amma I can drop you. She says no you’re busy. I will go myself. Adit holds her hand and says sorry. I was very angry. Are you mad? I have to go to office but if you don’t talk I won’t go. Yesterday was a very bad day. So much happened. Please forgive me. you say let bygones be bygones. She says don’t ever do that again. I will find a good guy for Lakshmi. He says I know you will do the best. Kusum says Mangal get him breakfast. Adit looks at Mangal. He says sorry Mangal. I should apologize to you too.
