Throwing my keys away,I was about to sip water,but I got to see her.,there…still there!! Watching me!
“I told you not to throw keys..Arjun..stop this habit”,my dad came from kitchen..,and I saw Sam rushing downstairs,her mouth busy grinding some stuff…
“Sorry”,I ascended only to see her cheeks puffed to its fullest.,her eyes scanning my face…
“Chew well.,don’t swallow the one you have stuffed inside.”,I went to my room..
It must be Sam!! She has this habit of eating like chipmunks…!! And now..she too…why was she still here..sacrificing her moments of tasting her favorite dishes…
“Fer…Arjun”,I heard her call me…My eyebrows raised in surprise…I glanced her figure through that mirror,and she stood glaring me…Glaring !! So daring???!!
“Arjun”,she called a bit high…
I turned to her side,and she took a deep breath.,closing her eyes…Arjun!! So..she knew,how to convince me…Smart!!
She stood with her gaze fixed on me…Her eyes flickered in surprise when I gestured her to get in…She is too innocent…Sam would have already made her place in steps.,to listen her and pull our legs later…She stood next to the door stepping in…
“Here!”,I pointed before my bed and sat relaxed on it….
“I want to speak..with you…”,she said feeble…
“Ok..but come here”,I said again…
“Hmm..No…I am..I will..be here…”,she blinked looking somewhere..
“Why so?”,I chuckled…but she turned uncomfortable…..”Listen…!! You know about Sam…she is too naughty.,would be definitely waiting in stairs.,So.,get in and speak with me…do you want your sweet secret to turn a teaser..?”,I balanced on my left elbow and extended my right to her…
She stood in same place,but took a step back when I got up..”Stay..”,I whispered and peeped outside..and as expected.,Sam stood munching some thing…”Bad manners!!”,I said..
“Everything is…”
“Sam!!”,I called her sharp and she made a face at me..
“Did you argue with Radhu”,Sam asked before I could turn…I turned sideways to my room,and she nodded negative…
“No…!!”,I shrugged..
“Oh..that means..you had…!!! Radhu was upset…Bhai…that’s bad…!”,Sam stood glaring me…
“I will speak with her…if only.you.leave..”,I smiled mockingly and Sam raised her hands surrendering..
“Alright…no fun…”,Sam turned around..

“Am sorry!!”,she mumbled when I stepped inside…I pushed the door wide open…
She gave me a helpless look..,she took a step back,when I was about to touch her shoulders…Reflexes!!..I blocked her way and leaned forward, intertwining my fingers around her neck..Her whole jerked a little at my touch…
“Where are you leaving?”,I asked and she clasped fistful of her fabric,tight…!!
“Are you scared with my presence?”,my voice came out soft surprising me…
She shook her head negatively…okay..!! Now she is back to her form.,its gonna be hard to make her to voice her mind….sh*t ..it was my mistake…!!
“You were upset??”, I tried to get her reply..and she nodded biting her lip…
“Hmm…you dint visit kitchen…”,I leaned close to her and she looked me surprised…”You love to gulp,those food items before it could reach dining table isn’t…I mean…tasting!! Thats how you tag isn’t”,I chuckled and her eyes widened a sec before narrowing at me…
“Radhikaa…!!!”,
She looked straight into me…
“Do you know the purpose of this..”,I asked strumming my finger over her lips…
She tried to move…. ‘not so soon!’
“Speak…!! Speak..”,….She smiled when I continued strumming her lips…..”Your lips aren’t any guitar string…I will use another technique then…”,I said and she blushed ..
Its been secs,she stood with her head down…I need to learn a lot of patience to handle My little darling ….Holding her cheeks,my thumb fingers probed her chin to look me….No!! Her orbs resembled a pool,in tears..
Now..what..!!….I had never been this cool and she cries for something…
“What’s that bothering you…”,I asked in my self….”Stop crying!! Don’t test my patience..”,I dint intend to,but I sounded harsh….only because of her…!! Her tears…!!
“I want to ask you something..!!”,she said feeble when I wiped her tears…
“Ask…but don’t cry!.”,I patted her cheek, and sat in my bed…
Hesitating for more than a minute,she inhaled deep…God..!! what’s that she gonna ask now..!! My eyes never left her in that one minute,observing her fear..but on what?
“Dont get me wrong….but tell me honestly…what you thought about me when I said about Ram…my engagement..!!”,she sighed…
“Radhika….!! Is that what you wanna ask…?!!”,I smirked at her…
She dint dare to look my face…!! I sagged relaxed on my back…and she looked me shocked…”Sweetheart!!…in which angle,you found me this stupid,to believe it…”,I asked with a smile, and laid facing her…
Her pout spoke her disappointment….
“But…ummm…you dint…”,she bit her lip nervously
“I had no idea that,even I have patience,to this level…”,I exhaled sharp relaxing my neck muscles…
Wetting her lips,she closed her eyes…”You would have thought,bad about me…isn’t…I mean….I kisssss…ed..you…being engaged to someone…I behaved….like…”
“No..!! Don’t say that word…!”,I sat upright and her eyes flew open,with a jerk listening me….
I knew she would blame herself….after all..She did say..’Am too good for her’..!!
“Did you even realize.,what were you about to say”,I asked shocked…
“The more I think..I feel ashamed of my behavior….I was engaged to someone…but I let you to….and…is that why you asked me to get up…”,her face scrunched with confusions and annoyance…
Get up..??? Get up from where…!!??. It took few secs for me.,to understand…
“I should have told it..but….I…I dint expect you to propose me…let alone propose…I never thought, you would love me…then how…I was..I was..”..she stuttered deeply worried…
“But I…”,my words were cut in…
“I thought you teased me…you were annoyed even with my presence and I was madly in love with you…thaaa….”,she blinked before pursing her lips..realizing her words…
“That…..”,I sauntered towards her….it was clear..she had been pondering over,our moments in that past one hour…
“Aa…I…”,she searched words…with her gaze on ground….
“Fernandez!…Fernandez sir!!”,I crooked myself a little to look her face…
Her lips thinned to a line,in irritation..Hmm…she can get irritated…annoyed…I see…All I had seen was only her playful antics…
“Haaan….Ferrnandezzzzz…sirrrr..!!”,she mocked,gritting her teeth….
How dare!,..I twirled her holding her right,and locked it behind her back,”gimme that face again..”,I demanded…her lips parted when I pushed her more to me…
“You felt bad that I asked to leave my lap?…isn’t…Answer me….”,I pulled her close..and she yelped a little…
“It hurts…”,she mumbled…
I just held her little lighter,rather than leaving my hold and she pouted angrily….I sat down pulling her to my lap…
“Is it ok now..!!”,my left coiled around her waist and she quickly got up…
“I dint mean this….please…!! “,she pleaded…
“Why would I think so..tell me…!”,I asked her…

“Radhika.!..you indeed held back from accepting your love…you had a reason..I demanded it yesterday night…dint I?…I was angry that,you dint let me know….isn’t that a serious issue dear!!….”,I myself wondered on my politeness ..
“But….I was scared…I was annoyed on myself….for..”
“I don’t like you pointing our moments as a mistake…have that in mind!…”,I said clearly…
“This is why I said…you are too good for me….”,she smiled with tears…
“Why did you cry like that..before your mom?”,
“She believed your words…that I slipped in stairs…dint even doubt us…I felt…am cheating…my mom..,you….!! You weren’t aware of my engagement…but I should have said that in first place….”,she blinked anxiety….
“Yes…your mom is a straight forward person…!! Even I felt bad at that moment…! But you confused us with your tears…”,I said displeased…
“Ram said….they will consider that my mom had embarrassed them once again…”,she spoke fiddling her fingers….
Ah..this is the reason….”So he confused you….”,I asked irritated…She did smile yesterday night.,after I made her wear my chain…

“I said already….I guessed you had some valid reason when you dint accept my love…your tears.!!.I confirmed.,you might be cornered…not a rocket science..obviously religious differences else…some thing related to your mom…!! You are timid…!! I know you…”,I shook my head…

Finally…she said it….
“Nope…!! Your tears spoke your helplessness….you were stuck between reality and the sweet surprise…”,I smiled and she gave a nod like kid….

“Then why were you angry on me?..”,she asked..
“Because.,you dint say…until I demanded”,I got up….
“Am sorry…!! I dint do it intentionally….”,she took a step close to me…but blushed when I raised my eyebrows in surprise…
“I need a help…”,she said acute..
“Don’t ask me to step back…if that’s what you have in your mind…forget it..”,I said Sharp….
She and her stupid sentiments..!!! Which idiot induced such thoughts of sacrificing one’s love for family…
“No…some thing else…but promise me you will do it”,she extended her right palm…
Promises..!! Those are made only to break…!! And she wants me to do one…
“A proper apology..!! And I will do what you want to..”,I stood with my hands in my pockets…
She thought for a sec and held her ears…”Am so sorry…Fernandez sir…!!”,she said…
She giggled when I pulled her ears….but opened and closed her mouth like a fish when I pointed my cheeks…
“Ready for your apology?”,I asked…I pulled her to my height when she nodded…
“This is for apologizing in a wrong way”,I said when she kissed my left cheek…
“This is for considering yourself bad”,I smiled as her lips traced my right cheek…her lips lingered there for few secs…It was blissful…her soft rosy petals brushing mine.,dazed with what I said…
“Anyone…would think so…but you dint…you are a gem of a person.”,she said gazing my features…
“Thank you…!! It means a lot…when you hear those from your love”,I smiled in response..
She looped her arms around my neck slowly…her fragile ones hardly matched my broad shoulders…yet..She tried to be comfortable…
“Wipe those thoughts Radhika!….self analyzing is good.,only if you don’t drown yourself in it.,in the name of analyzing your every decision and end up demeaning yourself…and I hate it…do you get that”,I said unfriendly and she nodded…
“Let me down”,she mumbled after a minute being in my hold…Her toe digits hit my knees,when she struggled …
“Don’t squeak now!”,I said and she rolled her eyes confused….
“Ah..no…pls…”,she mumbled when I pushed myself comfortably on my bed…
“You hugged me yourself”,I murmured and she saw the door way…”you think..Sam may come??,”I asked..
She saw me….”How will she or anyone….I tell you…you should behave normal…everyone thinks twice to step inside your room”,she looked away…
“Really!! Then why you din’t….how did you sneak into my room often….”,I rubbed my cheeks on hers before lying on my back,with her over me…her whole sagged on me abruptly,with my unexpected move….
“I…never…”,she whispered…
“Speak little louder”,I teased chuckling,but she was keen on examining her position over me…
“Radhika!!”
I caught her eyes the moment she glanced me…those brown orbs…which depicts her liveliness,were devoid of it because of her confusion…She smiled a minute later when I winked to break our eyelock….
“What was that favor?”,I asked…her fingers on my shoulders tried to balance on my bed…
“I won’t leave you”,I locked her legs with mine and she gasped, averting her shocking gaze to my face…”What’s that?”
“That….Ram wants to meet you…”,she squeezed her eyes,later opened a little to get my reaction…
“Why?”,I asked alerted…
She was silent,swallowing her fear..fluttering her eye lashes brooding on something….
“You never hesitate to speak with strangers…but with me…?”, my voice expressed my anger…
“Because…I fear..I may irritate you…with my talks….Sam told you dislike being over talkative…you are a man of few words…”,her lips quirked up in annoyance…
I pecked her lips immediately surprising her….
“Excuses…!! Every time!! Remember..it must be always me..!! Not anyone…!! “,my grip tightened around her waist…
Her forehead creased a little,for a moment to grasp my point…..
“Okay…!! But Ram called me today morning….!”,her eyes wandered over my forehead and hair as she spoke..
“Radhuuuu…”
I signed annoyed hearing Sam’s voice from downstairs….and she jerked shaking me too…
“What are you trying”,I laughed at her antics,to get away from my hold….
“You are convinced..isn’t…leave me..”,she said..
“Not yet”,I smirked…
“Cheating!!”

“Only 2 kisses…!”,she shook her head…
“Do you think that’s less…ofc ..yes..!”,I rolled my tongue over my lips…
“No…what’s this…”,she slapped my arm…
“You are lying over me…!!…I love your apologizing style…So., do irritate me a lot”,I winked…

I just shrugged my shoulders…and Sam called us again…. “She will come Sam…”,I replied louder and she pouted saying…”Why did you reply for me…She will tease me..”,
“Then stay like this…”,I grinned…
“She is calling us for lunch…”,
“Lunch or your Fernandez sir…”,I withdrew my hands from her,smiling….
Tilting her chin a little to right,she said..”Lunch!!!”…and laughed at my glare…
“Think again…”
“Not necessary…its Lunch!!”,she turned her face…
I saw her raising herself,supporting her palms on either side of me,over bed…that’s not fair !…choosing Lunch over me!! I shoved her grip on bed…and she landed crashing over my front…She laid still.,at this sudden encounter…I exclaimed teasing her more…unable to hold my mirth,I laughed holding her..she punched my chest hiding her face…
“Why did you do so”,she whined like a kid…
“You are soft…”,I chortled irritating her..
“You are so bad…”,she beat my arm..
“Dare to leave my name behind…”,I slapped her back..and she saw me shocked…Her left palm covered my eyes,noticing my gaze down her neck….
“Radhika….you should have wore…”,her other palm covered my mouth next second….and I laughed at her antics….
“Please..!! “,she mumbled.,before sliding her palms down…
“Get up “,I averted my gaze,and helped her to…
“I…”she glared when I stifled my laughter recalling our moment…
“Okay..say..!”,I shook my head unable to believe myself…giving up Every time for her glare…she indeed look cute,still….I gave up…!!
“Will you listen me or not?”,she asked in a stern voice…
Gosh!…that was even more funny…but she may cry if I tease more…I was amused with her serious antics.,standing before me.,barely reaching my shoulders..
“Okay…Mrs.Arjun Fernandez!!”,I stood straight…
She smiled and continued…”I said about us to Ram…!! He said he will help…and wants meet you….ummm….but…he asked not to inform my mom…or anyone and yesterday.,when we were in pooja room.,Mom had informed about my engagement it seems…Sam told me….So…pls don’t inform to uncle too..”,she said on a serious note…
“May I know.,what you both were planning?”,I asked taming my rising temper…Why cant she discuss with me.!…
“Not me..Its only Ram.!! He said..he can solve the problem..”,she said with a bright face…

Her surprised look gradually turned into a drowsy one as she let me to play my way.,relaxing her head in my hold.,her moan alerted me from drowning further in her sweetness….she gasped when I pulled back….I held her close to my chest.,when she was in need of fresh air…
“Apple?”,I asked a second later and her whole vibrated in my hold…”Hey…I want that folder you had?”

We heard our dad to call us this time…Sam might me irritated..it was almost 2 o clock…!

“Yes..very special!! So…..I will say only if its necessary”,I chuckled and descended the stairs…I guess..Today was the day I had spoke a lot.,after my elocution competition
during my school days…I honestly wonder,how much should I turn a verbose to handle her…and patience…!! The next trait…!
“Paneer Biryani….Panner tikka masala….yummmmm”,she sing sang uncaring Sam’s angry stares on us…
“My plate?”,I asked and she quickly brought two plates and sat next to me…I muffled my laughter.,when Sam hit her spoon angrily on her plate.
Surprising my family.,she had her food with spoon.,smartly avoiding to look my side…She praised my dad’s culinary skills for every bite…Sam giggled as I controlled my temper… Even those rattling sounds of spoon disturbs me and she??…I tried twice to intervene,but No…she was in her world.,enjoying every mouthful of her favorites,chatting along..
“Uncle…I repeat…Aunty is so lucky…”,she nodded pushing a morsel of Biryani inside her mouth…
“I know!”,my dad wiggled his brows at Sam…
“Can anyone see me…Am I invisible”,Sam asked aloud….”You forgot me in a day”,she made a cry baby face at Radhika..
Her mouth took a halt of its grinding session listening Sam…she noticed her place sitting next to me…I held her hand when she tried to move…”Have your food before jumping here and there”,I said serving myself…”You both…better treat this place as dining table”…I glared both the girls…
She saw me dejected…Ah..She loves to speak with everyone than me…
“Okay…Dont speak while having your food”..I shook my head disappointed on myself…she continued her blabbering…My dad served her more and more….
“This is unfair..Heights of partiality!!….”,Sam said dramatically….and My little darling chewed as fast as she could rolling her eyes…
“Dad…I will say to mom”,Sam threatened and my dad served her now…I laughed at that….He was scared for mom..My god!!
“Uncle…Don’t fear..when Radhu is here…All paneer pieces for me…she cheated last time”,she pulled my dad’s hand…
“Radhu is correct!”,my dad winked at her…
What the…No one is grown up here!! I continued my lunch watching their kiddish banter and my dad enjoying it…May be I should get used to this…
“You left me alone isn’t”,I heard sam’s voice when I cleaned the table…
“Radhika…Sam…Help me cleaning!!”,I called but they dint turn up.,instead I was greeted back with a pin drop silence…
“Bhai will kill you…if he sees this”,I peeped listening Sam..and there.,those grown up kids gorged on icecream from same tub…I closed my eyes unable to tolerate it…Manners!! Manners!!
“Its you…My sweeto…Plus..we both are healthy”,my little scientist said posing her muscles…
“And what about manners”,I asked her sharply and Sam scowled at me..
“Bhai..don’t scare her…”,Sam covered my view…
“Radhika…you had enough…now come here…”,I moved saying…but she came with her ice cream tub… “Here after no more sharing..”,I ate from her spoon… “and..eat this later”,I tried to snatch that tub…
“Pleasse…Fernandezzz sirrrr….”,she giggled running away from me…
“That was mine”,I turned to see Sam running behind her….Aren’t they engaged…I imagined Neil’s situation after marriage….Within 2 months Sam will get married and here she fights for Panneer and Ice cream….I heard Radhika to squeal….”Radhika…!!”…I called out….
“She will come Bhai”,Sam said teasing me…

I saw Sam walking towards my dad’s room.,and she rushed to backyard with a chocolate….
“Mrs..Arjun Fernandez…you will pay for this”,I murmured standing behind her and she jerked a little… “what were you doing”,I asked…
“Ar….that…Ram called me it seems…I din’t notice…Now he had texted…I was reading it..”,she looked me worriedly…
“Text him about our meeting..and fix a place”,I said…
“He is a fool..Listen this..again he is asking about you…”,she pouted punching the keys harder…
I caressed her hair and she smiled back…”Fernandezzz sirrrr….”,she winked ignoring a beep from her mobile..
“Turning naughty..”I hugged her close…
I dint find anything useful in meeting that fellow…!! Still…he knew her weakness…!! Her mom! More over…somehow he made his entry into my life…confusing her…! Poisoning her mind against herself…She will definitely get me wrong though I explain the reality….
