Chapter 26(Part 1)
Something of light grey color caught her vision,as she tried to open her lids,she carelessly closed her eyes and snuggled more into the warmth…
“Wake up Radhika,its 8 o clock”,she blinked her eyes listening the gruff voice…She felt his breath over her head..she raised her head a little to see him,and he laid leisurely having her half over him..
“Good morning,Jerry,”he said with a smile not having its own warmth…
‘May be he had woke up sometime back.,just because she was lying over him.,he had been silent’,she thought as his voice was clear.She saw his hand over her shoulders…the position she was lying over him….he was looking her face and she smiled a little after sometime….
“So what’s your plan today…”,he asked relaxing his left muscles..
“Need to go to BS”,she said looking his face….clearly observing his every reaction…
“Ok…I will drop.you…your car will be available tomorrow…..and don’t take decisions in haste and don’t dismiss Anyone until your dad returns,is that clear”,he patted her shoulder slightly.,as he tried to move…
“You needn’t say all this to me..”,she got down the bed…

She saw him fixing her mobile when she came showered…He was there in his white shirt and dark grey formals….when.and how he got ready this soon…
“I got a new one for you, yesterday…hope this too will work…your choice!!!”,he kept the mobile on table…
Yesterday!!! She stood with her vision glued on her mobile…the incidents played afresh in her mind…his words…only those…she saw him leave the room

“Do we have juice here?”,he held the handle of the refrigerator but was shocked to see Nandhini in kitchen…
“I brought the necessities,yesterday noon”,Rana said from behind..
Arjun gestured looking Nandhini to Rana…and he nodded a negative….
“What are you doing di…I will hire a cook”,he walked towards her..
“Breakfast!! And no need for a cook..”,she said surprising him…
“Then…who will..di…I very well know you have no idea about sugar and salt in appearance..so plz…”,Arjun mocked a little…
Nandhini made a face and said,”that’s something you should judge after having the breakfast today….call Radhi for breakfast..”,she said..
Arjun observed her reactions while she was busy in making sandwiches…”She wont..she got late”,he said hurriedly..
” I knew!!…I was about to send kaka with this”,Nandhini said extending a plate with fruit pieces and sandwiches…
Arjun stood receiving it like a certificate and after a moment,he munched the sandwiches and fruits as fast as he could…
“that’s for her…ok…I will…”..Nandhini was cut in…
“Di…its so tasty….and let her leave…she wont eat..”,he walked back dejected…he indeed came down to get something for her…
He saw Radhika walking towards the stairs when he went to their room..”Wait for me”,he said and quickly slid a blazer over his shirt…..
Radhika moved to their hallway feeding contacts list in the new mobile,but stopped on tracks as she sensed someone behind…She saw Nandhini to smile…She almost stepped near the entrance but turned around and said,”di…why to be here…come with me to BS”,looking straight to her face..
Nandhini’s shock and confusion encouraged her more,” you can help me isn’t…your experience…”,she smiled raising her brows like a suggestion…
Nandhini saw the stairs..Radhika was sure,it must be Arjun listening them…
“Please come di…for me…We sign a new project today”,she lied very cool and saw Arjun’s figure to descend slowly…
“Radhi…I know nothing about deals and business…so…”,Nandhini said looking somewhere to her left side… Radhika gritted her teeth observing Nandhini’s face….
“Di….had your breakfast”,Arjun asked before Radhika could speak further…
When he came to parking,he saw her speaking with his guards…”…don’t you know to respect your boss”,she asked sharp…
Arjun narrowed his eyes at her,when the guys gave a polite nod and stepped back a little,giving her a way…
“Show off”,she said when he was about to get in his Lexus Suv…
“You hit the other one”,he snapped her…
“Small dent…we can go by that”,she moved to his Range rover…

“So…you wanna gift my company to your sister who has no idea about business”..She sardonically remarked..
“Tell me which idiot told Sam is the future owner of BS”,she asked….,”..And..if suppose I wasn’t here…you would have married her for this company, isn’t”,she asked again…
She saw him sharp while he drove as though she became invisible for him..the vehicle flew smooth in his single hand drive,with his left on gears…
She turned to face the other side…
“How’s the taste of your own medicine”,he asked after a long silence….
She looked him annoyed…So..he was silent, just because she was…He din’t not bother to look her…she was surprised when he entered Neil’s apartment and was shocked to see the guard greeting him utmost respect…’when did this happen’,she wondered.,but with a stern face..

“Am I dreaming”,Neil asked looking a Smiling Arjun and irritated Radhika at his door step..
Now, Arjun glared and radhika smiled at him…”this looks sane”,he smiled and hugged Radhika…
Radhika charged to kitchen searching Prena,but came with a bowl of pulav..
“Pulav..this soon”,she asked stuffing a spoon of it in her mouth…”Where is Maa?”..
“Easy..Radziee…no one dares to snatch your food…and pulav..for Sam.!!.Mom already left for her work”,Neil resumed his breakfast…he saw Arjun to sit relaxed on that couch,reading Business column news…

When she came to the hall,she heard Neil’s voice from Kitchen…
Arjun with Apron over his formals was busy chopping the onions and bell peppers…and Neil was whisking eggs, while already one fluffy omlette was over the tawa..
“No Arjun…its not always..but Radzzie never stays or has food from her home…it’s been 4 years…she came here…when she came for preetis treatment too she stayed here…”,Neil took the ladle..
“What’s going on here”,she asked leaning on the kitchen wall.
“I was just saying…why you have your food..”,Neil was cut in…
“That’s none of his business..”,she said looking Arjun.
Neil starred her sharp…Arjun moved away…”Is it a way to behave with him…he doesn’t know things..and..”
“Let him be like that…he doesn’t need too…he will.never understand”,she said in a sullen voice…she shoved a piece of omelette and said,”lucky are those..who get to eat at home…and I ain’t that lucky.”,she continued…
“Don’t turn Sam like you..”,Neil said and called Arjun,”save your food”…
Arjun saw her stuffing a piece of omelette..”Neil..why do ppl eat like stuffing fur inside a teddy doll..?”,he mocked…
She stopped chewing and pouted at the ground below.,Neil drew a line with ladle on that omelette and sliced off the piece..
Arjun looking Radhika spoke further,”One should learn eating manners..”,listening that Neil sliced off a piece again,and Arjun was left with quarter piece of a whole omelette…
“Punishment”,Neil said and Radz giggled….When Arjun tried to have another Neil switched off the stove amusing Radhika…
“One for me”,Neil said and “One for me”,she took another..Arjun looked at the empty plate…
“Radzzie..don’t you feel Sam should study further?”,Neil asked out of the blue having their breakfast..
“She needs to..but..lets wait for a year…She needs to takeover BS….after that…lets see..If she prefers.,let her..,she said..
“You are there for BS”,Neil spoke sipping juice..
“No..Birdsong is for Sam..not for me..!”,she glared him sharp…Neil nodded and left to change…
Arjun saw her plate to be untouched,he pulled it immediately..
“I know..you are filled till your throat…if you eat still.,your brain may stop functioning in a right way”,he sat next to her..She gave one hard smack on his arm before moving to her room…He smiled once she left the place…
“Radzzie…your candies”,Neil gave a box from his room…
She collected her things when Arjun barged in her room..”Jerry..tell me did Faizal tell you anything”.. She was silent… “Speak out…If not how would I know and handle things”,he looked her face…
“You needn’t do anything…we have handled the worse in your absence…I don’t need you”,she said looking him sharp…
Arjun closed the door…,”I explained the reason..you should think before throwing random accusations..”,he held her chin to face him…
“What if I say the same to you”.she countered back..
“Lets finish this.!!..Do you really think am at fault in Preeti’s issue…don’t take things together…you know everything..!!So..tell me..”,he asked with a raised voice..”Think well Radhika..!”,he sat on bed…
She thought a minute..,”You cut our ties…”,she was cut in…
“Thats different..Only Preeti…I heard the news..I enquired..,got wrong info..,married you,giving a damn to that info…This is it. Tell…and.,why I din’t meet you..that;s different…”,he said looking her face…
He indeed had said he would have married her though she murdered someone..She thought from his perspective..It was they,who made the fake Death certificate assuming the enquirer to be Faizal’s men…he did come to meet her first..She blinked connecting all the dots….he doesn’t want her to hurt..even she would have done the same…She stood in silence..Arjun looked her intently..
“Tell me”,he asked….but she stood in silence.. “Tell about Faizal if you think am not at fault”,he said closing his eyes and leaned back on the bed,extending his legs to bed’s length…
She spoke after few secs,”I really don’t know…I saw Preeti to fear whenever Faizal approaches to any of us and later found that he had been threatening her with morphed photos…he said..’cause of me you beat him and he missed his studies..but….I think…that couldn’t be the actual one….isn’t…..I couldn’t contact you….so….I…but he…”,she paused when he smiled with closed eyes..
“Means..Jerry..am not fault…”,he saw her..
She smiled a unseen one a sec later.,yes…she was stubborn to accept…and was confused with all happenings..he had cleverly made it done…
“So..remember from now on.,you shouldn’t hide anything about Faizal..should come to me first..”,he raised his finger at her…
Senior mode! her mind mocked and she smirked at him…he suddenly pulled her over him…”I would have been happy if you had said it straight..”,he pecked her forehead…
She saw him confused…he should be angry for her words about his sister and him..but he wasn’t..why? Amidst of all other issues,why he cleared about Preeti…She was so lost in thoughts,he said.,”One confusion cleared..!soon…everything will be”
Oh..he did want this..yes..after this,she needs to decide if to stay with him or not…he had said that…how she forgot? No wonder he remembers..he did,only to get to know her decision…but why? did he really think she will leave him or…
Her trance broke when he asked…”Why do you think too much?..you forgot your duties..”..
She looked him baffled..duties??!!
“Where is my morning kiss?”,he asked surprising him…”Your Tom is hungry”,he smirked saying that and looked them…
She then noticed to be on his embrace…how could a girl be this careless.? Senseless?? that’s right….Tom is hungry..! Argh..only to irritate her…He pulled her lower lip to him and said..”Kiss me”…
She saw him to be amused at her shocked reaction..
“You are mad…crazy…”she said…
“Crazy hungry Tom is dangerous”,he chuckled to rile her up…
she felt her whole to burn, listening that….His lopsided smirk irritated her and she smirked saying,”That what I called to be Lus..”,he captured her lips…”Was waiting for you to say that”,he said and he rolled his tongue inside her mouth,she moaned and pushed herself into him….”Tasty candy..but why you like mango flavor”,he asked when he pulled back…
“Give my candy”,she asked like a kid and next sec admonished on her stupidity..
“Do you really want it back”,he slurped her candy….
She mentally slapped herself….how could she lose herself before her rival..yes..Rival,..that word will help her to be clear headed…He is neither the same senior nor she is the same junior…
“Iam getting late for office..Leave me”,she said pointing his arm on her waist…
‘whats the use to struggle..the grip would get tight,entertaining him more and challenging her senses even more….’
“Trying to turn smart?”,he husked near her ears…and held her tight….”Baby….get those words back”,he kissed behind her ear and bit her earlobe a little causing her to yelp…. He sat observing her…and she felt uneasy at his heated gaze…
“What do you want”,she asked after a minute…
“I want my Radhika”,he asked the next second and she felt her body to turn numb for a second….
She knew what he is asking for…she involuntarily shuddered a little…
“Arjun….Faizal threw acid on me…Preeti came in between that’s why she had those 2nd degree burns”,Radhika said after few mins of silence…and felt his grip to turn hard at that…
“Why he troubled you both.?”,he asked crooking his neck to see her face..
She lifted hers to face him with tears,,”I really don’t know,Arjun..Believe me pls…everyone including Neil thinks I know something..but I don’t know..
he planned me to….Preeti…”,she hugged him turning to his side and clutched his shirt hard burying her face into his….”Why Preeti…she is naive..she is like a kid…he troubled her…He was mad on her…”
“What he planned with you?”,he asked in a cold voice…
She crooked her whole into his snuggling close with tears…She wasn’t a person to lose her confidence….Yesterday she did astonish him with her witty bold nature…she was bold enough, to dust him off…
“He said..to pack me somewhere..when we reached that place..that’s when Vivek turned outrageous..we all know…except Preeti….she..she…was held captive in another car…..Neil’s scream is still in my ears…Arjun…being good is a sin…we shouldn’t be….we shouldn’t be….we all suffered…. some 50 men…why he planned to that level..”,she saw his face….
He was dumbstruck looking her.,she was silently crying her heart out speaking with him…”Radhika….Pls….”,he rubbed her back..the girl who smacked him and snapped witty words minutes before laid like a crushed paper in his hands…His eyes welled up looking her state…They all had been masking themselves only to fool each other…He recalled how they chatted happy before Preeti,later Neil to enrage and Prakash to politely handle…so this was it..one or other way everyone did cry that day…what really happened..they all had something still away from him…May be Neil thought to say that after Preeti left….
“We shall finish this one first”,he said to her..
“We need to know why he did this..”,she adjusted herself… “and..he needs punishment from everyone of us…Preeti still gets panic attacks..”,she said looking his face…Arjun was looking somewhere else…
She cupped his cheek with one hand and pulled to see her.,”Do you know why he did so?”,she asked him..
He saw her hold on his cheek..and asked back,”What do you think?”….
“If so..you wouldn’t have left us alone,in first place”,she said the next second..he brought her close to his chest….
“Thank you for trusting me..This is enough!”,he pecked her forehead…”Now..go get ready for BS”,he loosened his grip while she stayed looking his face..
Her clasp on his shirt squeezed the fabric….he rubbed her back when she broke into fresh tears recalling the past….he let her to cry….he knew she is holding the pain within herself….Everyone on the other day expressed their trauma except her…she had walked away from that cabin…..he had the doubts may be she is drowning herself in liquors coz of this…..She hiccuped and cried aloud….he saw her reliving those moments….
“Your Arjun is here,now….Radhika……”his throat convulsed as he felt her body to tremble…
His mobile beeped with Neil’s msg….”Am leaving to Event zone..spare key on table…Take care..”.Arjun replied and adjusted Radhika comfortably on his lap….He caressed her hair and tucked the strands behind her ear.. she laid on her right on his lap…
“What did Faizal do,”he asked in a stern voice…
