Chapter 26 (Part 2)
“What did Faizal do,”he asked in a stern voice…
She shook her head in repulsive,and finally gathered herself saying,”inside the car….he made…one of his men to….to….Arj..if not that accident…they would have….”,her words reflected her muddled thoughts…
“I shot him in thighs…he lost his…,(she saw Arjun)..so….he said he will ruin me…Arjun…he had planned it before….the cars had cameras and curtains on…we din’t know…Vivek saw him adjusting the camera…he rushed to Preeti’s vehicle..but he too was pushed inside..Prakash and Neil were brutally attacked….I saw them lying in blood when the vehicle moved….that car suddenly hit on something….else…he.. he asked one of his men to get my shirt off..while..he sat watching them to tie my hands..”she stopped when he rubbed her back…
She threw her arms around his waist and buried her face on his middle sobbing…His breath convulsed fathoming the intensity of the pain she experienced…her anguished cry was enough to dissolve him completely…He leaned over, covering her figure inside him and hugged her soft…..her grip turned hard and she hiccuped continuously scaring him..he recalled how she fainted in beach the other day….
“Enough..listen me..”,he tried to make her look him…”The men who targeted you in nariman point…are they the same?”,he asked after a minute….
She nodded negative after a minute…
“Don’t answer in haste..Try to remember”,he tucked her strands behind her ears..while she wiped her tears.,and turned around…”Are you ok?”..he rubbed her back slowly…
“I won’t forget anyone..”,she said looking the ceiling…
“Anything else”,he asked..He felt relieved that at least something was able to distract her…
She blinked for few secs and said,”Vivek is not bad..pls.dont punish him”….
“Am not going to punish anyone”,he said looking her…”This Tigress will do it…will you”,he asked patting her back…
She saw him intently….”What if he targets Preeti…I won’t”..
“That’s a lie….tell me…why Kavin hid her identity….don’t say you both hadn’t planned anything….in the worst case.,you want Faizal to face you first isn’t….then why to stay back….go by your plan…and Am with you!!!”,he said with his eyes locked to hers….
She got up and hugged him kneeling on the bed….he responded saying..,”Only if it’s always me…only me…!! We both..!! No one else…!!! I need a fair chance to giveback…is that ok”..
She listened him and kissed deep in his left cheek,she saw a tear to escape from his left eye as he held her close….she kissed his tear…”you weren’t at fault…You weren’t….”,she whispered with tears…..
“Jerry…fight with me pls…”he said in a low voice…
“No..Arjun..we had our own issues…Who saw this coming…No one of us is responsible…even Vivek…”,she held his chin…. “You are my strength..!!”,his teary eyes snapped to catch hers…
“You suffered a lot…”,he said with tears..
“May be my punishment…for pushing you from my life….for insulting your love”,she sniffed looking down..
“No….listen…I know the reason why you rejected my proposal..Neil sent me a mail,after a month….and that’s y I brushed off your talks on that.. ..forget the past…I don’t want you to remember that day…”,he said hurriedly…
She saw him shocked…”you know…??”…
“Yes….I was angry initially…After I got to know the reason..I planned..ummm…something else…I don’t have an ounce of anger on you after that….I promise…!! I knew you listen my conversation with Preeti… but you never spoke with me…one single word from you would have brought me down…but…. Preeti said you preferred to apologize to me in person…..Neil..gave an other idea…I thought to work on it…hmm….later my situations… I lost my track with everyone…after that you know…”,he said in a clear voice looking her face just inches away…..As always.,She listened him like a baby listening to its mom….He knew she will come up with an enquiry again..
He smiled when she asked…”Why so..you cut your ties..and had a fake name here..”
“Death threat…!! My dad met an accident planned for.me….the hitman was from southeast..he missed the target…but the person planned my murder was from here..!! India!! The assassin killed himself when got caught….”,he explained clearly…
She sat facing him….”But you were safe here?”
“I was asked to return after my bachelors…when I continued…dad asked me to hide my identity…since I was adamant to be here…Arjun Mehta…!!..the records were changed…well..you see ppl won’t risk in academics…so it went smooth…I came back to college dorm for safety purposes…guess..my dad was aware of this before…do you remember…a car to follow us when we all roam together..that Agra trip…”,he asked looking her face and she nodded after few mins…He wiped her tear stained cheeks..
“If you know about threats…you shouldn’t have stayed here.,2 years..!!”she shook her head…
“Someone cried when I said, I will leave”,he laid his head on her lap surprising her,and saw her face…”This gives a clear view..”,he smiled a little.. “and…now..don’t blame yourself…I was safe here…!! But not in London..So..,point over ruled…did you get that…”,he pulled her nose…
She sat rationalizing the events…..she smiled few mins later looking his face…”get up”she said…
“Get..THOSE.words back”,he said coiling her waist with his arms…
“That’s your fault..why din’t you say all this before marriage…”,she gave a nonchalant look..
“We were busy in car,doing other important things…isn’t…”,he winked at her and she rolled her eyes listening that…”Jerry…I thought to say after marriage…you did say…equal status weddings would be profit based..business alliance….!! Then how would I open up…what if you step back.. …or postpone our marriage…”,he adjusted his head saying and tried to look her face…
“Well planned???”,she saw him…
“No…definitely not…I din’t see few things coming….I was completely unaware…but see…My decision is the best…!! Whatever be the problem…
I need you under same roof to fight with me.,and I could convince you….”he nodded his head with a smile…
Her lips thinned listening that….how dare…he lays on her lap,saying all this to her face…beaming with pride…and she had millions of confusions about everything around them…
“Don’t breathe heavy..am losing control”,he chuckled and laughed a second later looking her expression….
“Get off my lap…I hate you….”,she tried to push his head…He laughed at her efforts, irritating her further…
“This is what I called lu ,she abruptly stopped and bit her lips…
“Tell that word….I will prove…!!.”,he said folding his sleeves….she was genuinely shocked with his mannerism…
What will he prove and how…..she looked around finding ways to get him off…her eyes widened when she felt his fingers brushing her middle and wetness to cover her navel….her fingers unconsciously clutched his figure and..she stooped over him as a reflex to his open mouth kisses on her middle..he raised his head a little,..”baby….”he husked and she hummed in response…
“This shirt is very transparent”,he laughed hard saying and she sat upright listening that…”I will prove…look here…”,he raised a finger and she twisted his finger…
“You are a devil …I tell you…get off..now…”,she pushed him with her might…
He got over her,rolling her completely down…and hurriedly unbuttoned her shirt…he leaned and said…,”Love has self control….lust doesn’t..”.,he kissed deep above her cleavage,and laughed when she gasped aloud..
“I don’t like this shirt…change it”,he said with his back to her.,arranging his shirt properly,looking the mirror…
“Then..I.will.wear.it,”,she got up abruptly and he turned around…She saw him starring her face,but his features turned mischievous as his eyes traveled down her neck line….unconsciously her hands clutched her shirt and he came forward…
“Ok then..”,he said and started to button her shirt..he pulled off the middle buttons saying,”it’s broken”..she gasped at his actions and slapped his palm…”Now its worth wearing only before me..”,he winked at her..”and..now..I like this shirt”..
“Arjun…”she screamed gritting her teeth..
“Yea..Its me..But baby you forgot I guess..Am I not.,Mr.Mehra”,he bent to her sitting form and held her chin looking him…his thumb caressed her skin over her throat…Her eyes met his softened orbs…he smiled…”Arjun..”..he pecked her lips…”get ready”,he left the room..
She murmured herself as she locked the door..
‘What not he does with me…I never imagined this side of Arjun’..She was embarrassed looking herself in mirror..she pulled her shirt together to cover herself…
“Radhika…shall I order lunch..”,he called aloud..He knocked her door…”Reply…am speaking with prena Aunt..”he said again….
She yelled a yes…and saw the clock,ready to strike 1… More than 4 hrs….she forgot the time…Neil….office….AND…she smiled relieved later thinking about the confusions that got cleared…she had poured everything she had about Faizal….which she has never said to anyone…only her Arjun needs to know it….the only person who holds the rights to punish Faizal for troubling her…torturing her..her fist unconsciously hit the walls thinking a part of her past…
She came afresh after a shower…she got ready thinking about him..’Arjun was never this out spoken..he gives only bits and pieces when its about him..even with her…this time..especially..in this one week…he behaved extremely opposite…out of his reserved character…now the only annoying issue is.,Mehras to have a hold on her properties.’..She saw him watching a news channel unaware of her presence behind her…
“I want to…”,her words trailed off when he raised his palm to her face..He increased the volume of that channel…
“Sh*t”,he cursed and tuned another one…She concentrated on the channel this time,and it was about a fire breakout in a steel firm….a belonging of Faizal’s dad’s…
“This belongs to Faizal…”she was cut in when he yelled sharp..
“Shut up..Just shut up..”..
Later it strike her…they were holding its shares…thats why he grew tensed..Next half an hour.,she saw him making numerous calls and scolding his associates but finally calmed down after a call he received….But what he said surprised her..
“Dad…what do you mean by a simple loss…this is planned…I could figure out…”..
What he listened,’god knows’..but she saw him to listen annoyed.,around 15 mins of convo he finally spoke only one word..”Ok..”..He called someone else and taunted to the worse scaring the sh*t out of her…Her Arjun..this is him!! He was like this years before…she compared the visible changes in his character…”Have your lunch”,she looked him startled when he placed a hotbox…
The guy who rolled with mischievous grin on her lap minutes before.,spoke in a gruff tone…well..she too was the same…A thought disturbed her and she finally asked,though he was still furious listening the same news.,
“Do you think.,Is it because of me…!Faizal planned..A loss ..for your company..”,she looked him with confusion..
“May be…Because of US.”..his sharp voice and stern look made her freeze…”Zip your mouth about this to Neil…they shouldn’t be involved anymore”,he said…
She was too hungry but wasn’t ready to eat without him….His agony was understandable..His dad is facing a loss because of them…may be her…She got out of her trance when he sat next to her….
“Don’t blame yourself…Might be they planned for something else..Profits..Moreover..he doesn’t know we are married.”,he said serving food for both…
She saw him surprised seeing him to serve food…
He asked back..what???
“If I would have been in your situation I wont behave like this”,she blurted her mind..
“Tha’ts the difference”,he raised a brow with a arrogant smirk..
She facepalmed herself…What was the need to open her mouth and earn this…..She saw him to eat fast…fast like participating in a race…She tried hard to control her itching tongue to snap him..
“Watch your plate”,she got alerted listening him….”you both did spoil my breakfast”,he got up instantly….
“You finished”,she shrieked hurriedly.,he came back with a water bottle from kitchen..
She had her food in silence after that…He was busy…like too busy even being here….all she could gather was, him to collect details without his dad’s knowledge…..

She saw Neil to walk hurriedly towards his car when she got down…he walked to her…
“I did get details…things are fine…look for ongoing projects alone..”,he said hastily..”..well..I asked for a person to look after cheer beats…Mom will be assigning tomorrow…ok…now bye..I need to move..”,he hugged her and moved to Arjun….
She walked further,just few steps before birdsong..she stopped on her tracks and saw the building….Her mind clouded with fresh thoughts,What this has for her.,she doesn’t know…..but Arjun…!! She saw him as a complete business man today….he will never let go things….what if he decides, to keep his word he gave to his sister…she will be pushed to chose either one of them…Arjun or BS..no…Arjun or Sam…
“Di….you wait and watch…I have more plans…”,her eyes watered recalling those words… “why you left us”,she mumbled unconsciously..
She turned and saw the men to discuss something…Arjun leaning on his car,saw her side and stood straight when they noticed her to turn…He gestured a thumbs up and asked her to smile….She stood like a statue….”What’s wrong..”Neil mumbled..
Arjun Pointed his watch and waved a bye…”Nothing..and let her go”,he replied to Neil..
“Shut up”..Neil said and came in a slow jog to her..”Whats up Radzzie..forgot some thing..??”,he tried to sound cool…she saw Arjun…only him….
“Shall we get him inside our company”,Neil chose the words only to read her mind…
“Will it stay as ours”,she asked to him with eyes on Arjun…
“What nonsense….get in…we won’t let that happen…and do you think he will let you down..”,Neil held her chin to face him…
“He isn’t like us…don’t you know…Global business man..Targets..Assests..!”,her voice shook a notch down..
“Radzzie..stop arguing about him…We still don’t know why he is here….We may lose what we have in our hands..So.,lets work on this.”,he pointed the building…and walked along with her….The more he spoke she felt relieved and they discussed only about the lost contracts…After an hour, they came out of her cabin and Neil walked towards the elevator,while Radhika moved to another room in that corridor..
He was about to turn,but stopped listening Amit and Radhika to speak..
“Ma’am…I guess..I helped with details.”,Amit said politely..
The strong silence intrigued Neil, and he took few steps closer to listen them..
“Ma’am…Piyali ma’am left after an argument with Neil sir..”
“Where’s Teji”,she asked irritated…
“He took a day off..but am here..Ma’am how may I help you..I mean..in case..of any help..”,Amit stuttered to complete his sentence at her sudden glare on him…
She smiled a little and said,”Resign yourself..”
The guy floundered a little..then threw questions at her,later raised his voice..”on what basis you will dismiss me…”
“Did I say so….”,she asked in a cool voice…”A week time…I need your papers on table…make it fair…”,she spoke calmly..
“Only on your orders I ransacked Arjun’s cabin..”,Amit argued..
“That has nothing to do here…You just helped me in clearing a cabin of an ex employee”,the arrogance in her voice clearly echoed in that empty corridor…
“He resigned????!!”,Amit asked with mouth wide opened…
“Yes…!! and You’re Next!!”..She.walked away…
Neil shook his head laughing,as he took the elevator…He couldn’t contain himself after seeing Arjun…”Amit..that idiot asked any help.,and she says resign yourself….how can she be this sharp.,Man!”.he laughed…
“Amit..isn’t that cunning..”,Arjun said thoughtful…
“Oh really !!..”,Neil said Amit’s reply and continued.,”so.,it’s clear he is working for someone..isn’t..”
“Even then.,it isn’t confirmed….Uncle is not here..”,Arjun gave a displeased look..
“So what..Radzzie and myself has the POA..You got the note behind her decision isn’t..She will be fast..but not stupid…and Arjun..She purposely used Amit against you..so..Lets wait few days..”
“That gonna turn useless..Am just a employee like him..a common ego clash..nothing else”,Arjun said annoyed…
Neil thought a while..”Here..your house is cleaned…”,he gave the keys..
“Neill…tell me where Sam is”….Arjun asked him sharp…
“Let her come back…Raghav is with her..My guards are following..So..Pls..”,Neil said..
“Why the hell she fooled my guards then?”,Arjun gritted his teeth… “Do I look like an Idiot?? Its only because for Aunty I stayed silent…She scared everyone for few mins…Is she a brainless duck? I had explained things…Uncle is not here….Radh…Radhika..How would I face her if something happens to Sam….Listen Neil..! Warn her..!! My patience is only for Radhika….”
“That’s what I too say…Sam is just your sister in law..Don’t order around…Arjun..If you don’t know people better stay silent..just think…she din’t lamely whine or blame anyone..its 2 days and she is silent…not even a word to Radziee…lets see whats her perspective…..”,Neil tried to reason out..
“Damn the perspective…Its clear..their mom…She fills things against me…and is she inside..?”..Arjun asked looking the building…
“No..She turned disgraceful listening me to have shares of BS..at one point of argument.,she left in anger..,why did you want me to say it this soon..?”,Neil sighed…
“If Radhika has her own ways,then I too…and anyway..this will benefit us..”,Arjun wore his shades back and turned…
“Listen this and tell about voice clarity”,Neil gave a pen… “Have placed another one too.”..he smiled saying..”Radzzie will kill me for spying her”..
“No..Neil you got me wrong…this is not for her…I will tell you later..”,Arjun got into his vehicle…
“Anything about Faizal..”,Neil leaned to his door..
“I will handle”,Arjun smiled a assuring one..
