Chapter 27 (Part 2)
Her mobile beeped with a list of works for tomorrow..charging hers she quickly got down to meet Nandhini who was about to retire for the night…
“Hi..Thought to have some time with you..Free di?”,she came to the hall..
Nandhini smiled wide..”Yes..but you seemed to be tired…”,she replied..
“Ah..work you see..its been two days and I din’t even speak with you….sorry”,Radhika pouted..
“That’s ok..I understand…and I thought we will meet for dinner..but Aru said you both had planned already..”,Nandhini smiled arranging magazines..
“You like all this..I never read magazines..”,Radhika pointed few…
“No..even I too…this one..Aru arranged since I would be bored here..”
“So…Wha”,she was cut in when Arjun asked, “What are you doing there?”..The ladies looked to the stairs side but couldn’t see him…
“He turned invisible…may be ghost…Like pirates of..”,she stopped abruptly when Arjun descended raising his finger as a warning…She unknowingly smiled at him when he did that..and he responded the same…Hers vanished the next second realizing something…
“Pirates !!”..Nandhini muffled her laughter surprising Rana and Arjun…
“Did you imagine your brother in Jack sparrow style”,she said and Nandhini saw Arjun and snapped a look to the ceiling..
“He looks cool isn’t with that slang and those numerous braids…”,Radhika yelped when Arjun pulled her ears…. Nandhini just laughed imagining those scenes…
“Di..see him”,she whined and Nandhini glared Arjun..
“Be sportive Aru..she is so sweet..how could you do this”,Nandhini rubbed her earlobe surprising everyone there…
“Come di..Lets go inside”,Radhika got up pulling Nandhini..
“di..needs to sleep…not like you..chit chatting all night…Come”,Arjun caught her arm…
“Just one day..”,Nandhini took her to dining hall.. Radhika turned and smirked slyly with a wink irritating him…
He sat impatiently listening them to converse like friends,and at one point he went alert when they stopped talking.,when he was about to move they laughed aloud together…Arjun leaned back to see Radhika,and she being in next hall too did the same to see him…they both saw each other..He gestured her to come..and she snapped her look to Nandhini.
“di..will you teach me cooking..”,she whisper asked…
“Even am learning..lets learn together..”,Nandhini replied with a smile..
“Okay..! Do you think should ladies work after marriage..I will say no…I want to be a housewife”,she spoke on a casual note..
“Why Radhi….??when they get opportunities they should…and what’s the use of your talents then..”,Nandhini replied being involved…
“But di….Family is important isn’t..see..its been 4 days..but I never get a chance to speak with him properly…not even with you..stress…you saw isn’t I drink coz of stress..”,she looked her..her mobile beeped with a message from Arjun..

She saw Nandhini to look her….she sighed,”Even now an ex employee is creating a issue..Argh..I guess..business is not suitable for women…”she said a sad note…
“Guys may abuse you..pass taunts..what not…I hate it di.”she shook her head..
“I thought you like to..”,Nandhini was cut in
“Just a craze..like everyone has before,they know about everything about the anything they love…Achievement…Success…bla..bla..bla…actually you see..Am very lazy”,Radhika nodded like a doll with lips thinned…Nandhini blinked looking her..
“Di…I thought of asking Arjun to take over the company…Wat say…my dad is out of station…I have POA and…..”
“Radhika!!!”…
She jerked listening his voice…The ladies were so keen in their talk, they failed to notice him stand at that door way…
“Good night Arjun…see you tomorrow”,Radhika said with out facing him…She held Nandhini’s palms within hers and mouthed a please..
Arjun left after few secs…
“di…speak with him…am so serious…I don’t want to be a part of my family business…Di..plss…he may get me.wrong..you know…he is too short tempered and am scared what if he gets angry listening thus…”she spoke looking Nandjini while Nandhini sat confused…
“Radhi….lets wait for some more time…I mean till your dad returns…we shall..”,she was cut in
“Diii…if he returns he will take care isn’t…why Arjun…I meant this one month…”,Radhika chuckled a unseen one…
“Only one month.!”,Nandhini asked and Radkika nodded …
“But you know…even after my dad…when it comes to me…I want Arjun to take care of this…”.,She saw Nandhini to sit baffled..”…and I will stay at home happily…cook..send my children to school…sleep…eat..wow..wow…life at its best..”she looked the ceiling with dreamy eyes…

She gulped reading Arjun’s message…..She casually turned and found the hall lights to be turned off…
“Let me discuss with Aru…but I think he wont accept it”,Nandhini got up thoughtful…
“What you think..Am correct isnt..please make him understand…at least for me..pls…”,she held Nandhini’s palms within hers…
“di..do you have sleeping pills…I take when I get stress”,she asked and Nandhini went inside her room..
After a minute,she slowly moved towards Nandhini’s room, but suddenly felt someone to cover her mouth and lift her….She muffled a little,later her nostrils flared in anger looking Arjun to have her in his arms…
“What nonsense….I was about to come”,she said in a low voice while he walked to a room…He fastened the latch of that door quickly,while she saw her portrait on the wall of master bedroom…..It had them…Their Agra trip…Radhika wearing Arjun’s Jerkin and looking somewhere above while Arjun to see her face….she saw few more stills…Hers and Preeti’s wearing simple gown for Preeti’s birthday….That was Arjun’s last year in masters and he planned a surprise one for preeti….She remembered how she took Preeti from dorm, fooling everyone…..The college days played fresh..She turned and tried to pull the door open…
“I have closed”,he said..
“Open it…plss…plss…”,she pleaded..
“Sleep Radhika..”,he walked around the bed..
“I can’t stay in this room…I can’t..throw the pics off..”she said and climbed on the bed to pull her picture frame…
“Get down..I don’t like you throwing things…”,he held her wrist…
“Then open the door…I won’t stay in this room…come..we will go there”,she said to his face..
He saw her for a minute and opened the door…She waited for him to come..She heard Nandhini to ask about her to Rana…
“Kaka..Radhi asked me…me..water..”,Nandhini said and Radhika rushed downstairs…
“Here”,Nandhini extended when Rana moved away…
Radhika took a tablet when she felt the bottle to be grabbed…Arjun threw the contents on sink and opened the tap…He starred them both..
“Go to sleep …and I should not see this here any more..”,he said to both the ladies…Radhika moved and so Nandhini….

He was shocked a little when he saw her to swallow something,as he came to their room..
“You took one…spit it..”,he held her cheek violently and opened her mouth…”Show it..Jerry…spit that one baby…please..else I will make you to” ,he spoke hastily and she tried to free herself from his clasp…
She rubbed her cheeks in pain…and coughed heavily,”I swear..I dint take…you came isn’t..the tablet I took too,fell on stairs…I drank water alone”,her face turned pinkish due to the rigorous coughs…She lied down silently on her side of the bed..
He twisted and tossed but found her lying in same side…he scrutinized her laying form in dark…and saw her wiping her tears…
“I never thought you will ask tablets to di..and..what do you think you are doing…and those blabbering…housewife….and take over…”,he was cut in
“Did I ask your opinion…just shut your mouth and sleep….”,She spoke with tears…
“Why the he’ll you are crying now..?”,he asked confused..
“Mr.Mehra…do you have any rules and regulations to sleep in this room”,she snapped him back..
“Better stay away from my sister..”,he replied folding his arms..
“I already said…Shut.Your.Mouth”,she sniffed…
“Damn..”,he got up and placed a tablet strip on her side…
“Addicted to pills…how did you sleep yesterday?…can’t you try yourself for another day,”he extended a glass of water…..She pushed those tablets…
“Who asked you to rummage my items…you took from my bag isn’t..manner less idiot…”,she spoke still lying on her side..
And he knelt down to her level…
“Do you want it or not…”,he held her chin..
She swallowed one and laid back..
“Why to throw that..when you can give this..loon head…you create scenes..”,she said when he got up from her level..
“I do notice,the words you spat in anger”,he spoke calm walking around their bed…
He saw her to lay still awake.,wiping her tears…
“This one is less dosage…lesser than yours..”,he said to her back..
“Why..you do all this…ok…do whatever you want…Arjun.. you do anything but..”she turned irritated to see him…
He pulled her to his embrace..”Sleep..enough for today…it’s getting too much…”,he pressed her head to his chest and patted her shoulder…
He was silent though he felt her tears on his t shirt…
“Baby…Say something”,his arm pushed her more over him….He shook her back when she stayed silent…
“You are a fool,Arjun”,she sobbed with silent tears…
“Okay.!!”,he patted her cheeks… She slept within minutes and he kept patting her shoulders turning thoughtful…

He lied awake thinking not to disturb her sleep,suddenly he felt movements over his chest and noticed her to be awake with her head on his chest…
“You woke up?”,he asked crooking his neck a little to see her face….
She saw his face intently for few seconds.,and got down….
“Radhika…I want to spea…”,his words was cut in when they heard a door knock…
She was about to get ready and glanced the clock,which read 7.45AM….Arjun arranged the bed and opened the door a little..
“Aru…Coffee..”,Radhika’s whole burnt listening Nandhini’s voice….
Arjun closed the door behind and asked,”di..why do you do all this? I would have come down isn’t..else give it to Rana Kaka…”,he got the tray,and glanced both the cups…Black coffee for him and a regular one for her…
“I din’t add sugar alone…Aru…will she eat today?”,Nandhini asked in a soft voice…
Arjun smiled with a nod,having his black coffee… “di…don’t stress yourself….she had got ready…”
“So soon”,Nandhini asked before he finished…
“Yes..but I will have it..and did you drink yours…go take it..”,Arjun politely pushed her down….When Nandhini was near to the hall,she heard the coffee mug to scatter…
“I dropped by mistake…Kaka send a person to clean it”,Arjun said in high voice descending the stairs..He quickly made another coffee by himself and walked back to his room…
He saw her to look herself in mirror,buckling her watch…”Coffee..”,he placed it…
“Have you added sugar?”,she asked saccharine sweet… The unusual tone and enquiry did alert him a little,and he hummed back in response…
“Milk?.”,she saw him to look doubted.. “and Poison!”,she smiled to his face and he looked shocked…She grinned wide…”So I am not wrong isn’t…”,she nodded her head…
He just saw her in silence.,his breath exhaled his excessive anger rising inside him…He took a step forward and gulped the drink down,all the while glaring her eyes and she din’t flinch a little surprising him…
“Wait for me”,he said before leaving the room…
She looked him,clenching her fist…She got ready as fast as she could,the moment she collected her things,she rushed down with her bag…

“Radhi..breakfast”,she hit on sofa’s foot listening Nandhini’s voice…
“When you see someone rushing in a hurry.,you shouldn’t stop them..Understand!!..di..”,she smiled through her teeth.,and Nandhini looked baffled… She inhaled a deep breath and smiled saying,”Have a good day”…
Rana stood surprised with her behavior…
“Where is my car?”,she asked to a tall guy standing near a pillar…
“Ma’am…It will be available by evening”,the guy replied…
“I was told that It will be here today..and it was a slight dent..why are you delaying..and which service centre is that?”,she asked swiping her mobile screen.
“Ma’am..we..we..aren’t allowed to say any details”,the guy said..
“What..What nonsense…Am not asking your boss’s Transaction Password..Its my car…and am asking about it…”,she said but the guy gave a helpless look….
“What’s your name?”,she asked…
“Atif”,he said standing a feet away distance from her..
“Listen Atif !!….I have a meeting..So..give the details..and I’am losing my patience..”,she glared him sharp..
“Ma’am…Without sir’s orders…”,the fellow was cut in…
“I see..Go..and call him…GO!!!”,she screamed aloud…and he rushed inside their house…
He came saying,”Sir.,asked you to wait for 10 more minutes”,
She looked her watch and paced angrily before the vehicle….
The deodorant had a leisure launch on his skin and he applied gel with extreme easiness..His mind still stuck with her words…
“Arjun..come down”,she said once he received her call..
“I asked you to wait..”,he disconnected the call..
She moved towards the car and started to kick the vehicle hard..It raised an alarm and the guards stood watching her confused…
He wore his shirt and was about to button it.,but his fingers stopped listening a noise.,”Radhika..Radhika”,he muttered annoyed to himself,shoving his blazer over the unbuttoned shirt, he rushed down picking his wallet and mobile phone…
“Kaka..my watch pls”,he asked rushing downstairs..
“What you did now?”,he came calling her sharp..
“Where is my car?”,she asked… “I want it now”,she said to his face..
Arjun snapped a look to his guard and he nodded negative….”Ask him to bring today”,she said…Arjun just nodded to the guy…
He noticed his guards to look him like a show piece…He quickly got inside the vehicle buttoning the lower ones and threw the blazer behind.,as he reversed the car,Rana came running with his watch…
“I told you to wait”,he spoke once the car moved…
“I told you to come down”,she gave him back..
“And…Is that a way to speak before guards..”,he asked with raising anger..
“They din’t respect me..so I gave it back”,she remarked nonchalantly..
“Even if its my father.,they won’t give any details..They are so..and I have made that a point..and..Atif..!! He is with me from the day I got death threat..more than 5 years..He isn’t like others..Don’t show your witty sharp tongue to him..”,he spoke through teeth…
“Excuse me!! ..Did I ask your history”,she smirked..
He applied the brakes abruptly… “What’s wrong with you woman?”,he gritted his teeth…
“Everything is wrong with that woman..”,she pointed a finger back..”Your beloved sister…Nandhini….blo*dy…”
“Radhika..”
“It pains the same way”,she turned to him..
“You know I hate that…Be it anyone…language..!!”,he raised his finger at her…Minutes passed with both looking each other in anger…Her features melted looking him…She closed her eyes..
“Dammit!!”,she kicked the foot board..
She turned her face to the other side and he gripped the wheel hard..
“Will you give due respect to Faizal….!!..asking me to….Listen…Am not a moralist like you and I can’t be.. then why to live under one roof”,she asked looking the road ahead..
After a few mins,he turned the ignition on and drove in complete silence confusing her..
Her eyes caught a girl smiling at them..No..at him..!! She noticed the busy roads and traffic signal…She followed the girl’s gaze,and was angry looking his shirt buttons to be open…His fingers drumming the wheel and his eyes somewhere to his right….
“Before preaching,you should follow…Is this how you leave your home?”,he saw her confused..and glanced himself…
“You gave no…”,his words trailed off and he smirked mischievously as he caught her gaze on a girl looking him…He saw her to glare,at that girl…He smiled and the girl grinned in response..Radhika immediately snapped a shocked look to him…
“Jealous?”,he smirked still looking that girl..
She saw him annoyed.,”I won’t think twice to ask a lift from him”,she gestured a guy in pulsar bike..
“Furious!!..Seems you will pluck her eyes out”,he buttoned his shirt..
“What’s her fault,anyway”,she snapped him…”She doesn’t know you are married”,she saw the girl to still pass looks to him…
“So..My fault!”,he cupped her cheek and pulled her face towards him,leaning to his left, before she could realize he kissed her hard…She squeeze closed her eyes hearing the slurping sound as he sucked her lips deep…Her hands just held him for support while she gave in with no other option left..He pulled back and crashed on his seat,breathing heavily…
“Will she now know that,am Happily Married!!”,he saw her and wiped his lips with his tongue….He pulled his blazer from behind and extended her a chocolate..”Will help you”,he chuckled..and she glared him breathing equally heavy as him…
“Jerry…I messed your hair”,he drove towards Neil’s apartment…
“Why this way? I need to go BS”,she adjusted the mirror to her side…
“Your breakfast?”,he questioned…
“That’s not important..so Pls..”,she said…

“Hmm…’why to live under one roof’.. isn’t”,he asked and she turned to him… “Jerry.,why not to live under one roof….”,he drove with his eyes focused on the vehicles moving before them… “Reply !!..”,he asked sharp…”Still..you are holding the same point?..umm…My dad had given me a week off from works…though I call.,my staffs won’t respond fearing his wrath…so after this week I will get you the copies of sunshine resort papers…you will get to know the truth”,he said in a cold composed voice..
She could see birdsong nearing…
“Tell me about your sister Mr.Mehra?”,she asked..
“Mr.Mehra.???!! Again!!…Nandhu di has nothing to do between us Mrs.Mehra…and Mrs..Mehra…Learn to control your witty tongue..Else..The day you get to know the truth.,you will regret…and I don’t want you to..”,he applied the brakes…”How was my kiss..I guess.,that was enough to prove,you too.,that Am.Happily.Married..”,he winked and she raised her brows grasping the actual sense..
She had planned to trigger his anger with bringing the separation topic,but he just brushed off with his happily married dialogue..She closed her eyes heaving a exhausted one…She cursed herself for not realizing his note..he did enunciate the word!! She shook her head in distress….Now that.,he figured out the reason of her behavior,it will be tough to annoy him further..This plan of hers had backfired..he got her words…Thats y he had been in silence before kissing her…she thinned her lips displeased on herself..
“Finished”,she turned her head to see him…with his right elbow supported over the wheel,and palm supporting his head,he had a leisure watch on her…
“Mrs.Mehra is hell adorable when she talks to herself..Finished,your analysis and thesis on us?..Jerry..whats your next plan?”..He squeezed his cheek and winked at her… “Where is that sly smirk you gave me yesterday”,he poked her lip..and she shoved his finger…
Her mobile beeped with a message…and she sat tensed reading the contents…
“What’s that? Is that from your mom? Headlines about me?..Arjun Mehra.!!.I should really thank her for making my way tough…but I got to see the ferocious side of my Jerry..My cute sweet Jerry…”,he spoke smiling in a relaxed way..but stopped looking her orbs to roll vigorously…..
“Radhika..c’mon baby…You trust me like hell…I know that…why are you troubling yourself hatching new plans…I will…”,he was cut in..
“Do you have legal associates here?..I mean Mumbai…Can you contact them now?”,she looked his face…
“For what?..Don’t say you need to divorce me”,he grinned at her…
“Are you an Idiot? I seriously doubt your brilliance…What’s the need at this hour,to joke around…You got my God damn properties and you expect me to roll with you on bed..Arjun Mehra..!! Wake up….!! Its serious..Go..Get a anticipatory bail for yourself…Save your skin..Go..!!”,she unbuckled her seat belt..

“Get that soon”,she threw annoyance..

“Arjun…Arjun…try to understand….It had happened…I may be wrong in terming..But its bail..! Ok? now listen…I may file a double dealing or duplicity case on you..at any hour..today or tomorrow…check with your advisors..Do you have one here?”,she saw him with earnest hope…
He saw her palms cupping his cheek.,he held that…”you think…”
“It doesn’t matter what I think…We both know each other…Pls..Meet Agarwal..if you don’t have one..Else contact Prena Maa or Neil…”,she pulled her hands from his clasp and got down…
He sat looking her fast walking figure.,suddenly she came running back to him and he got down…”Arjun…if possible get a copy of all of your account details…and..and…”her forefinger pressed her temple…”Dont get me wrong..any other malpractices charge can also be levied on..so..And..when you faked your identity here.,were you aware of any problems..we need to be…”,she stopped looking his serious face….
“Radhika…who messaged you?”,he asked..
“Arjun..Proofs are there..how to destroy..what have you done??”,she held his right palm….
“I din’t do anything Radhika”.,he screamed…”No heavy amount transactions..Am dead sure about it..Someone is trying to confuse you”,he said..She saw him helpless…
“I,Myself got the details,Arjun…Everything is checked twice…Am working on it from Saturday…”,her orbs filled with tears… She quickly gulped her tears..
“Meet Neil..!! Throw your ego! at least for your father’s sake..”,she said trying to sound normal..
“I will..For you!…Keep me updated…”,he got into the car..
“Jerry…I repeat…Someone confusing you…Send me the details..”,he said before turning the ignition on…
She stood watching him to leave..
