Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya 2 actor Anupam Shyam passes away at 63

Veteran actor Anupam Shyam, who was essaying the role of Thakur Sajjan Singh in the show Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya 2, passed away today due to multiple organ failure. The 63-year-old actor was recently hospitalized after facing some kidney-related complications. Anupam was placed in the Intensive care unit for the past two days.

The veteran actor was hospitalized in March 2021 also for the same problem. Anupam was under dialysis and his brother even appealed for monetary help as he was struggling with the hospital bills. Anupam got back to work with Mann Kee Awaaz season 2  but apparently, he used to complete his shoot and then go for dialysis.

In an earlier interview, Anupam talked about why he took the role of Thakur Sajjan Singh in spite of his poor health. He shared, “Zindagi ki jung ladh raha tha, wahan se aa gaye hain ab. Now with the show Pratigya I want to entertain the audience again.”

Anupam who hails from Pratapgarh in Uttar Pradesh started his career in 1993. An alumnus of Bhartendu Academy of Dramatic Arts in Lucknow Anupam has proven his talent in popular Bollywood movies like Dastak, Dil Se…, Lagaan, Golmaal, and Munna Michael.

Along with Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya, Anupam has also done shows like Rishtey, Doli Armaano Ki, Krishna Chali London and Hum Ne Li Hai- Shapath.
