Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya was the show that made Pooja Gor and Arhaan Behl a household name. The fans of the show will be pleased to hear that Star Plus is bringing back the cult show. In an interview with India Forums Pooja talked about reliving the role of Pratigya again and shared, “ Pratigya as a show is one that I can connect to and it basically runs in my blood, you can wake me up and I can be Pratigya any given time in my life, it has become me, and I have become Pratigya, it runs that deep, we are inseparable.”
Talking about the Mann Kee Awaaz being a cult show, she shared, “That is true, it is a cult show yes, it being special has gone beyond, it has now become something that will be a part of my life forever and I never thought that a character of a show will be that special that it will be a part of my life for ever ever, it is that special.”
When asked if shows like Pratigya can still find an audience, Pooja replied, “Oh, absolutely. TV haven’t changed that much and also because our audience hasn’t changed that much. The problems that we show on shows like Pratigya and evolved shows, which fall into the daily soaps bracket but their subjects are realistic and modern, clubbed with entertainment and drama, are taken from the problems that exist in the society, we just enhance it a little too much and add melodrama to it (laughs). But, they are relevant and of course, there is a huge audience for TV, there’s an audience for everything, and most definitely a show like Pratigya, because it is flexible with time.”
Talking about her future plans, she shared, “I am looking to explore role I’ve never done, I have always done roles that are strong characters, I want to do vulnerable characters, that are real, the characters that have been flawed, that are grey, and explore that in a very real sense, and obviously, I want to explore the genre of dramedy.”
