Alibaba: Dastaan-E-Kabul has been going through lots of ups and downs over the last few months. After actress Tunisha Sharma committed suicide on the sets of the show and Sheezan Khan was in police custody, the show’s fate was left hanging. Actor Abhishek Nigam joined the cast replacing the show’s former lead Sheezan Khan. Now there is news that actress Manul Chudasama will be playing the role of Princess Mariam, the role was earlier essayed by Tunisha Sharma.
As per the reports, Manul has already begun shooting for the show. In an interaction with Etimes, she talked about bagging the show. She said, “I am really grateful for the character and the show for choosing me. It is a surreal feeling to be a part of the show.”
We asked Manul about taking up the responsibility of Mariam in the show she shared, “This is my fourth show as a lead so there isn’t any nervousness, instead, I am really excited to be a part of the show. I have already begun shooting.”
When asked about Manul replacing Tunisha in the show, she quipped, ” ‘Replacing’ wouldn’t be the right word. I am not replacing Tunisha but coming up with a fresh perspective on the character. I can never take Tunisha’s place, she did an amazing job in the show and I just hope that people love the character and shower us with the same love that they did before.”
Manul was last seen in the show Brij Ke Gopal as Radha opposite Paras Arora.
