Megha Chakraborty opens up about recent rumor and how it impacted her life
Rumors are an integral part of the showbiz industry, and actors have learned to navigate them. However, sometimes rumors can have a detrimental impact. In a recent interview, Megha Chakraborty, known for her role in “Imlie,” disclosed how a rumor about her leaving the show for another project affected her.
Megha revealed, “I did receive an offer to audition for an upcoming show on a different channel. I decided to go for the audition because my storyline in ‘Imlie’ was coming to an end due to the show taking a leap.”
Delving further into the matter, she explained, “There were scheduling conflicts, and I couldn’t proceed with the new show. However, I was taken aback by how the news spread like wildfire. People were speculating that I was leaving ‘Imlie’ to take up the new show… none of it was true. Auditioning is a routine part of our profession. I had to literally distance myself from my phone for a day because I was inundated with calls from people inquiring about the situation.”
Megha’s journey in “Imlie” will soon conclude, and she reflects positively on her experience. “It was a fantastic journey. I took on many challenging roles and performed a lot of action sequences in the show. There was tremendous pressure on me when I had to continue the show after the tracks of Sumbul Touqeer and Fahmaan Khan concluded. I wasn’t certain how we would carry it forward, but gradually, things fell into place, and the leap was well-received by the audience. The show is set to take another leap, and my storyline is coming to an end. I’m looking forward to returning to work after a brief hiatus,” shared Megha.
