Someone knocks at Nanasaheb’s door in the middle of the night. He is startled. Who can it be? His eyes widen in shock as soon as he notices who it is.
Sarkar threatens the goons not to come in front of him again. You got scared of a girl! They run away. Sarkar slaps Banta for hiring weak men. He apologizes to him. I can bring Santa ji if you want. Sarkar refuses to back off so easily. Savitri has challenged me. She must pay for it. It is time to show her who really rules Shirdi! She has become arrogant because of her job and Fakir. I will throw her out of here. She has been appointed by the government so she will be inspected in the right manner now. Hari Om!
Keshav is surprised to see that Sai has made khichdi so early in the morning. Sai says I felt like so I made it. He takes someone
Mhalsapati ji notices a woman outside the temple. She is about to fall but he holds her just in time. I have never seen you here before. Who are you? She shares that she is Ramabai Gokhale. I have come to meet Sai. He offers her water. I will take you to Sai after finishing puja. She breaks down. How can a mother eat when her son is ill since 3-4 days? Sai says which scriptures say that our loved ones recover when we hurt ourselves. She looks at Mhalsapati ji and then at Sai in confusion.
Savitri thinks of Janardan’s harsh words. She is surprised to see so many people waiting outside the clinic. Have you come here for treatment? They nod. She asks them to stand in a line. I will open the clinic right away. She thanks Sai from her heart. This was made possible because of you.
Mhalsapati ji tells Ramabai that this is Sai. Sai does not let her get up. She tells Him that she had come to meet Him only. He explains to her that we wont be able to help others if we fail in looking after ourselves. We must know how to swim if we have to save someone from drowning. We must remain healthy to help someone recover. You must eat this khichdi. How will you get your son treated if you will fall ill? She tells Sai that she has understood now and eats khichdi.
Savitri is checking a patient when someone asks her to come outside. She goes to meet the Inspection officer outside. His assistant goes inside to inspect.
Sai becomes tensed suddenly. He tells Mhalsapati ji to go to Ramabai’s house and bring her son to his home once she finishes her food and he finishes her puja. It isn’t very far. I will treat him at your home later. Mhalsapati ji agrees. Sai tells Ramabai ji not to worry. Your son will be fine soon. He leaves. Ramabai ji is surprised that Sai understood everything without her telling Him anything. He even knows where I live. Mhalsapati ji says Sai hears everything beforehand if we are devoted enough.
Sai is on His way to the clinic.
The assistant whispers something in his senior’s ear. Inspection officer turns to Savitri. You came here 12 days ago but the medicines are intact. You haven’t attended to any patient. How can you ignore your duty and resources? She tells him it isn’t so. The clinic has been open since day 1 but there were no patients. He looks at the long queue outside. I don’t think that’s true. The epidemic is spreading so quickly and this is what you are saying? She insists that it is true. Sarkar offers to tell the truth. He shares what had happened on the day she had arrived in Shirdi. Savitri admits that her hands did shake that day. Sarkar does not let her complete. Who gives injection like that? I had no objection with the treatment till date but I am against this amateur doctor! We wont get treated from a doctor like her! Officer tells Savitri that she has embarrassed them badly and dismisses her fro hr job. You are incompetent for your job. You wont get a government job again! Officer and Sarkar exchange a glance.
Flashback shows Sarkar telling the officer to dismiss Savitri tomorrow. Keep this news hidden from your seniors till the time the epidemic subsides. I cannot let another doctor come to Shirdi till then. He pays him hefty sum. Flashback ends.
Sarkar tells Savitri to pack her bags and leave. Savitri thinks of Sai’s words. She tells the officer that she cannot leave her patients like this. They need a doctor. Call a replacement if you want to expel me. They cannot be left unattended. He refuses to let her play with their lives after knowing everything. She agrees to leave as soon as another doctor comes as her replacement. Sarkar firmly tells her to do as told. I very well know how to get things done the other way too! Just leave! Sai asks him with what right is he asking her to leave. Sarkar says you are finally here to intervene. Will you question me now? Sai reasons that people have a right to ask questions from their leader. Sarkar says there is a government officer here. He found out that she is incompetent. The order must be followed. Sai asks him why someone else should pay for the mistakes committed by someone else. Sarkar asks Him what He is trying to say. Sai walks up to the officer. You must learn the complete truth before coming to a decision. The decision should not be biased. That is what’s good for everyone. Sarkar remarks that he will do that. You aren’t needed here! Decision has been made as well. Savitri has been expelled from her job. None of your logics or black magic will work now. He orders his men to take Savitri out! They step forward but Sai stands in their way. Sarkar stops Banta from doing anything. Sai looks at the men pointedly. They back off in fear. Sarkar tells them not to be afraid of a Fakir. Go ahead. One guy says what if He turns us into an animal with His black magic. We are scared. Sarkar tells the officer that Fakir is only concerned about His victory. He does not care what others will have to go through in the process. Call police and arrest Him! Officer asks Sai to step aside or He will be arrested.
Nanasaheb says Sai hasn’t done anything like that. He has helped saved government property in a way. Sarkar refuses to believe it. I don’t know what the Fakir said to you this time but I must tell you that this inquiry is as per the rule. You may be able to save Fakir but you wont be able to save this girl. She has been expelled from her job. He points at the officer. He is at a big post and he has given this order! He is from the health inspection department. Nanasaheb says I know it. He introduces the person he has brought with him. He is a senior of this officer whom you have just introduced to me. Senior officer asks the other officer why he is here. We dint order for any such inspection. Sarkar says I had requested him to come. You have sent an amateur doctor here who hasn’t treated even one patient till date. Senior officer reasons that many people from their country still prefer to go to a Vaid or Hakim when they are ill. Some people don’t believe in these foreign in medicines while some are instigated against the idea of trusting a doctor because of people who want to maintain monopoly in the market. Thus, we understand that any doctor will take around a month’s time to win the trust of villagers. We keep a window of 1 month to every doctor after relocation. Seeing the queue outside the clinic, I am positive that Dr. Savitri is in the right direction. You might not know our process well but he (his junior officer) does. Why are you here when the rules were broken here? You don’t have the right to dismiss anyone!
