The doctor gave a heavy sigh, came out of the operation theater and opened his mask and gloves. He definitely knew that he was going to be surrounded by questioning faces, it wasn’t that which made him nervous. It was the consequence of the news which he was going to give which made him hell nervous.
Shivaay was waiting for the doctor to speak up, and so was everyone else.
Rudra,” Doctor, will you speak today ? How is bhabhi ? ”
Omkara,” Doctor say something…”
Doctor,” Actually….”
Tanya, ” Doctor aage boliye na….”
Pinky, ” Oh my Mata Doctor Saab , hum intezaar kar rahe hai….Anika kaisi hai ? ”
Shivaay completely lost his patience. Off course , who would have not lost his presence of mind , when his love was suffering so much and the doctor was not ready to say anything – how she was , what has happened to her , when will she get well….
Shivaay turned up towards the crowd of people and started going towards the OT.
Doctor, ” Mr. Oberoi, wait. You are not allowed inside. ”
“Dr. Bhansali, you are not allowed to hide the state of my wife from me, even after me signing those useless papers. ”
“Mr. Oberoi, you can’t go inside. ”
“There is nothing which Shivaay Singh Oberoi cant do. And you cannot stop me from getting to my wife. ”
“Its against the rules…”
“I dont care about the rules. Let the rules go to hell. I want to see my wife, my Anika and I will see her. She is there suffering so much, and you are not letting me meet her. You are not telling us how she is…then should be sit here with one hand on the other and wait for the shubh mahurat when you will tell us the result ? I’m going to meet Anika…stop me if you can.”
He does the signature step and gets towards the door of the OT. (I know, yahan pe bhi tadi, but what to do, Shivaay is Shivaay. ??)
Just as he opens the door of the OT, the Doctor pulls him away and prevents him from entering the room.
Shivaay,” What the hell Doctor ? Now can’t I meet my wife ? ”
Doctor, ” Mr. Oberoi, we have kept her under observation for three hours, during which we have to see how her body reacts to the operation. We cannot let any external source stimulate it. So we have kept her in darkness, away from stimulus. ”
Shivaay got mad when he heard that Anika was kept in a dark room. He shouted,
“Oh God Doctor ! Have you lost everything ? Anika is afraid of darkness. She will be getting restless. She needs me. Let me go to her. She needs me. I have to be there to calm her down. Doctor, she will do something to herself then. She needs me Doctor, try to understand. I have to go to her. ”
Doctor nodded negatively. When Shivaay was going, Omru saw the Doctor’s reaction and held Shivaay by his shoulders so that he could let the doctors work.
Shivaay, ” Omru, now what are you guys upto ? You know na Anika is afraid of darkness ! Then why aren’t you letting me go to her ? ”
“Bhaiya, Doctor said no. Please wait and relax. They are doing their best. ”
“No Rudra, Anika needs me now. I promised her that whenever she will need me, I will be there to support her. She must be reacting like mad now and must be waiting for me. Let me go. Why is doctor not letting me go inside? ”
He tries to jerk off Omru and release his shoulders from their grip.
Doctor was checking Anika’s reports. He said,
“Mr. Oberoi, you can’t go in because your wife is under observation. She cannot react to anything now. Calm down Mr. Oberoi ”
Omru tried to make these things sound sensible to Shivaay. Finally , he agreed on the condition that he Meeting Anika, would be the first thing which will be done after Anika’s observation is over.
The three hours of observation were going to be no less than torture for Shivaay. He hadn’t seen his Anika after he had brought her to the hospital in the afternoon and it was past midnight now. It maybe said that its just a matter of 10 to 12 hours, but when you know that your love is in the worst state that she can ever be, and you can do nothing about it, trust me, each minute seems an hour to pass.
Shivaay had already lost his patience to the hospital and its carelessness, but he was helpless as Anika was not even in the condition to be taken to the best hospital in Mumbai, else it would have been a different case, as it’s the matter of Anika Shivaay Singh Oberoi ( I agree that the name suits her a lot ❤❤❤❤)
Tanya and Rudra brought tea for everyone , except Shivaay. There was no black coffee available and Shivaay had an aversion towards tea. So, they brought water for him.
Rudra took the dangerous work of persuading Shivaay to have something, when Shivaay was in such a vulnerable state.
Rudra, ” Bhaiya, water.”
“No Rudra, I wont have anything. ”
“You haven’t eaten anything in a long while bhaiya, how will you take your medicines then? ”
“I don’t want anything Rudra…”
“Bhaiya, don’t take food, at least have some water. ”
“Rudra, I told you na that I don’t want anything. Why are you forcing me ? Leave me alone for some time. ” These last lines were in an irritated tone.
Rudra got scared at the unusually loud voice of his bhaiya. Two hours had gone by and one more was left.
