Vaani plays chess, thinking she’s going to change the game’s rules and remove all of Mishri’s supporters. She recalls how Raghav broke Mishri’s fast first, which has left her frustrated since Mishri won’t leave Raghav. To keep tabs on him, Vaani secretly places a GPS tracker on his bus.
Mishri is encouraging Grandpa, who confides in her, saying he fell ill when Raghav left and can’t live without him. Mishri reassures him that he’ll get better and that Raghav won’t leave him again, which Sulekha dislikes. Sulekha urges him to take his medicine, while Vaani observes, thinking Mishri is trying to win over Grandpa. She’s determined to prevent Mishri from taking her place in the household.
When Mishri tells Parvathi she’s going to the hospital to see Grandma, Sulekha stops her
Mishri is busy cleaning the storeroom. Parvathi tries to calm Sulekha, who’s angry about Mishri’s return, reminding her that Mishri has shown respect and obedience. She asks Sulekha to see the good in Mishri, but Sulekha isn’t interested. Vaani, knowing Mishri plans to visit her Grandma after cleaning, sabotages the fan by loosening it. She then hides as Mishri brings Sulekha and Parvathi into the storeroom. Parvathi praises Mishri’s hard work just as the fan nearly falls on her, but Parvathi manages to save her in time. Chithra scolds Mishri, then notices Vaani nearby, suspecting she’s behind the incident. Vaani pretends to scold Mishri, while Sulekha blames her, but Parvathi defends Mishri.
Mishri receives a call from the hospital and excuses herself to see her Grandma. Vaani confronts the ward boy for not keeping her updated on Grandma’s condition and demands to know what’s in the report. Overhearing Mishri’s conversation with the doctor, he informs Vaani that Grandma is recovering. Vaani panics, fearing Grandma will expose her role in pushing her in front of the bus, which would send her to jail. Unbeknownst to Vaani, Chithra overhears everything.
