The reports about Mitaali Nag quitting Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin have been doing the rounds in the media houses for a while. Mitaali, who essays the role of Neil Bhatt’s sister, Devyani Deshpande, in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin was considering leaving the show owing to creative differences with the makers. However the issue has now been resolved. Mitaali talks about it in an interview with BT.
She says, “When I decided to quit the show, it wasn’t an easy decision. I felt that all the aspects of the character and the track were explored. That’s the reason I decided to let go of Devyani and the show. To be honest, it was one of the toughest decisions I have taken so far. My last day of the shoot was on July 12 and I put in my papers at the end of last month.”
The actress says that the fans and followers of the show also prompted her to reconsider her decision. She says, “The makers didn’t accept my resignation, as they valued our association. That’s another reason I wasn’t talking about it in the media. I would give maximum credit to the audience of the show as they were a constant source of positivity. The love they showered on me on different platforms of social media made me reconsider my decision. They told me how important it is for them that Devyani didn’t leave the show. The makers were kind enough to give me the reassurance that as an actor, I was needed. So, I decided to continue on the show. I will start shooting again by the end of this month.”
When asked what if her issues have now been resolved and she replies, “All I would say is that whatever inhibitions I had regarding my track, have been taken care of. I am happy to be back on the show.”
