Mouli Ganguly is known for entertaining the audience on the silver screen for more than two decades. The actress who is not even 40 made her debut with a small appearance in Baksho Rahasya in 1996. She rose to fame with her role as the lead in the tv show Kaahinn Kissi Roz (2001 to 2004). After doing so many iconic roles, Maouli lately has been picky about the characters she chooses to essay.
Mouli who was last seen in a small role in Shakti… Astitva Ke Ehsaas Kii, is all set to make a return with the upcoming show, Bal Shiv. The mythological show is said to be based on the childhood story of Lord Shiva- which is unheard of.
Along with Mouli, veteran actress Jaya Bhattacharya has also been roped in to essay a pivotol role. Jaya talked about it in an interview with ETimes TV and shared, “Yes, I am going to be a part of the show, but it will be a cameo. I have been roped in to play Parvati’s mother in the show. I am excited to join the cast of Bal Shiv since it has been a while since I was in a costume drama. I find it a lot of fun. It’s a nice break from the regular daily soaps. Kuch alag karne ko milta hai. I love mouthing dialogues in chaste Hindi, the diction, and the elaborate costumes.”
Coming back to Maouli, she will be essaying the role of Anusuya, the wife of an ancient sage named Arti and daughter of Prasuti and Daksha according to the Hindu epics. Mouli has confirmed that she has been contacted for the role but she shared that nothing is final yet.
