Ever since clinching the Bigg Boss 17 trophy, Munawar Faruqui has been dominating headlines. The comedian and rapper’s triumphant return to Dongri was marked by a massive celebration, drawing thousands of enthusiastic fans. However, amidst the jubilation, a recent report from the Free Press Journal reveals a legal snag.
According to the report, an FIR has been lodged against a drone camera operator who was capturing Munawar Faruqui’s victory festivities. As Faruqui proudly displayed his coveted trophy from the sunroof of his car, the unauthorized drone operation caught the attention of authorities.
The incident unfolded when constable Nitin Shinde, accompanied by PSI Tausif Mulla, spotted Arbaaz Yusuf Khan, a purported fan of Faruqui, operating the drone. Acting swiftly, the officers alerted the police station upon intercepting the operator. Subsequent investigation revealed that proper permissions had not been obtained for drone usage during the celebrations in Dongri, Mumbai.
Authorities promptly confiscated the drone camera, and an FIR has been lodged for violating directives from the Mumbai Police Commissioner, mandating prior authorization for drone operations. Earlier, a ban on flying objects, including drones, had been imposed by law enforcement to safeguard public safety.
In the aftermath, netizens took to social media platforms to express their reactions to the incident. Munawar Faruqui emerged victorious on January 28, clinching the Bigg Boss 17 title in a fierce competition against fellow finalist Abhishek. Mannara Chopra secured the position of second runner-up, while Ankita Lokhande claimed the fourth spot. The grand finale, hosted by Salman Khan, witnessed the participation of numerous popular celebrities.
As the finalists revel in their triumphs alongside loved ones, they continue to share glimpses of their joyous celebrations on various social media channels.
