The popular show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin recently replaced Anupamaa for the numero uno spot on television. The cast and makers are elated with the news. In an interview with ETimes TV, actress Kishori Shahane aka Kaku talked about her experience with the show, working with Tanmay Rishi and Aaria, and more.

She shared, “Ghum has been facing a lot of challenges right from the beginning. In the Covid times, we had our co-stars who went through the illness. Then we had to go out and shoot in lockdown and our show was telecast seven days before the telecast on TV. Definitely, the more hard work you do, the better results you get and it has been proven well. The team has finally received its reward. We have had many continuous days and night shoots. We were in the No.1 position last year and then were consistently in the second position for the longest time. It is an amazing feeling to be back on top.”

When asked about her experience of working with the kids in the show, she said, “The kids are so cute and well-behaved. The way they come on screen, they are equally adorable off screens too. Their parents are also so cooperative, we call them Savi and Vinu only and there is positive energy on the sets with them. They have become the apple of our eyes. Savi wants to keep playing with me all the time and she loves chocolates so she comes to me, ‘Bhavani ma’am aapke paas chocolate hai kya’. She has a sweet tooth while Vinu likes more savory food. I often bring everything that they like for them to enjoy with me.”

Talking about her bond with Ayesha Singh and other co-stars, Kishori said, “Ayesha and my bond has been growing with each passing day, it feels like a family and we look forward to meeting each other, all of us hug it out when we come on the sets and leave for home. We all share a great bond, even all the technicians and backstage artists. It is one big family and I am grateful to have such amazing co-stars.”
