Dear Mr. Husband,

It’s been such a long time that it feels like a bizarre dream. It feels like a distant memory, yet somehow it feels like yesterday only. The day when we met. That was the day, the day I realized, that love does exist. Not only in fairy tales, but in real life too. Some years ago, I used to make fun of all those people, who claimed to be in LOVE. Years ago, it was a mere illusion for me ; an illusion which people used to create just to escape reality. But the day we met, all that logic was thrown out of the nearest window. Guess life really is incomplete without love. Cause since that day, I’ve been unraveling a new shade of ME every new day. Before you, this crazy me didn’t exist, or so I thought. You were the light, the light who showed me a new side of mine. You showed me the ME which I never knew existed. The ME which was buried deep inside my heart, in a place where no one could reach. But you became an exception ; the most amazing exception, my life’s most beautiful experience. You were THE ONLY EXCEPTION! I still remember that rain, my life’s warmest cold day, for you were there beside me. It’s been years, but still I remember how you held me close, your cinnamon cologne making me breathless. For the first time in my life, I felt as if I didn’t need Oxygen to survive. Your sweet scent was enough. Your mere presence doing things to my heart which I couldn’t even put into words. It was the coldest month, yet I felt so warm. Sweating like I was in Sahara, there I was, sitting beside you in that lonesome park. That’s when I started loving the rain. Everytime it rained, it brought our sweet scent, the cold droplets held the same warmth that you had. I felt tingles whenever rain drops touched me, for it was same as your touch. They brought the same security, tranquility ; they brought YOU. I felt as if you were there, and I fall in love with the rain. And unknowingly, unintentionally, I fall for you. But love is never intentional, right ? And if it’s intentional, then it’s not love.. After meeting you, I became something I never thought I could, but I guess that’s what love does to you. And even now, after so many years, I still haebourthat same love for you, if not more. For my love for you is pure devotion, and it’s the same for you, I know. And it will last forever, even after death. For my love is stronger than both Life and Death.. Just wait for some more time, love, we reunite soon….

The lady read her own words once again, before keeping the letter on the tombstone, with some white Lillies. She then bent down, lightly brushing her lips in the cold marble, as a rain drop fall on her face. A small smile grew, as she got up and started walking away. The heavy downpour didn’t affect her even a bit, it never did. It just made her smile a genuine smile. But it also hid the single tear  that ran down her cheek.

“I miss you, Kunj…”
