All turned towards the entrance to find three little kids rushing to them. The kids clinged on to Yash’s legs. Yash smiled wide and gathered his kids in his embrace. Meera was overwhelmed seeing her nieces after a long time. But she had puzzled look seeing at the little boy calling him Papaa…
Meera: Yu, yeh… (Pointing at the little boy.)
Yash: (Smiling wide, he pulled the little boy closer to his heart and said.) My son, Anshuman Yash Scindhiya…
Meera: Huh…? Ummm… Hi… (She kneeled in front of the kids and extended her hand.)
The kids looked at each other puzzled seeing the new face.
Voice: (Form the entrance.) Meeru maa…
There was a teenage girl and boy standing along with two other couples and a lady. The girl came running towards Meera and engulfed her into a hug.
Meera: Vedika…? (And hugged her back tight.)
The guy, separated Vedika from Meera and engulfed her in a tight hug.
Vedika: You, duffer… (And huffed.)
Meera: (Smiled with tears and pulled Vedika into the hug.)
A pair of hands pulled Vedika and the guy from Meera.
Vedika: Mamma…
Lady: (She showed her index finger, gesturing her to stop.)
Guy: But Mamma…
Lady: (Glaring.) Vedant Pankaj Scindhiya, back off…
Vedant: (With head hung low, stepped back.)
Meera: Bhaabi maa…
Lady: (Stopped her by showing her hand.) Sorry mam, you’re highly mistaken… And in this whole world, there was only one who called me that, who left all of us behind six years back… And the most important thing, I don’t let anyone else call me the same…
Meera: (Cried silently.)
Man 1: Yash, I didn’t expect this from you… You were in touch with this woman, God knows for how long…
Man 2: Badai bhaiya…
Man 1: Nahi Pratik… Dare you support his mistake…
Man 2: Par…
Yash: Chote…
Man 2: (Went silent.)
Yash: I don’t want to lie, the truth is I came here to treat this little girl (showing Anoo), but I was aware about her being here…
Lady: We don’t have anything to do with your duties, Yash… But we have anything and everything to do with the family… When it is decided we lost the PRIDE of Scidhiya house, it is the same for anyone and everyone…
Lady 2: (Walking towards Yash, taking his hand in hers.) We just LOST the PRIDE, bhaabi… It is possible to get hold
Lady: Aarti, I expect you to stay silent… Don’t support and involve yourself in the matter, which you’re unaware about…
Aarti: It is true, I don’t know the reason behind your anger bhaabi, but I have complete trust on Yash ji… If he is supporting something or someone, then I’ll blindly support the same… And no one can stop me from doing that…
Man 1: Aarti, your husband had gone mad, along with him you too…
Lady: Pankaj ji, they both aren’t going to listen… Because both of them are equally stubborn…
Pankaj: (Muttered.) Absolutely… (To Pratik.) Pratik, take kids and wait for us in the car… (To the Lady 3.) Paridhi…
Paridhi: Ji Badai Bhaiya…
Pankaj: Take Vedika and Vedant along with you…
Paridhi: Ji… (She went to them and got hold of each of their hands.)
Vedika: Chachi, please… Mamma, Pappa, please…
Vedant: (Tried to pull his hand out of Paridhi’s hold.)
Pankaj: (Sternly.) Vedika… Vedant…
They held their heads down and cried silently.
Lady: Pari, take them out…
Paridhi: Ji, Vidhi bhaabhi… (She looked at Aarti.)
Aarti: (Nodded her head affirmative once.)
Paridhi: (Took Vedika and Vedant, along with her.)
Pratik: (Walked forward, stopped for few seconds and glanced at Meera, when he passed her. He wiped his tears off and walked forward. He took the three kids and walked off immediately.)
Vidhi: Yash, when your work is over, come back to home, our family will be waiting for you… And Aarti, as you had already decided to follow Yash, you may come along with him… Kids are my responsibility… (She was about to turn and walk off, but stopped, turned towards Meera and the tears made their way from her eyes. Her gaze was fixed on her.)
Pankaj: (On seeing his wife’s condition, he held her by shoulders and pulled her into his chest.)
Vidhi: (She composed herself and pulled her head from his chest. She mumbled.) I’ll wait outside…
Pankaj: (Nodded affirmative.)
Vidhi: (Walked off the very next second.)
Pankaj: (Moving towards Meera.) You hurt my family a lot, and I’m not going to let you hurt them more or let you close to any of them… MY FAMILY is my everything… (He turned and was about to walk off.)
Meera: MY FAMILY is my everything, bhaai… (She stepped forward and stood face-to-face with Pankaj.) I committed mistake and I’ll do anything to get their forgiveness… But I won’t let anyone to take my family away from me… Not even you, my brother… This is a promise of Meera Kapoor Scindhiya… (With tears brimming her eyes.)
Their eyes were locked throughout.
Meera: (Bent down and touched his feet.)
Pankaj: (Held himself back. He neither didn’t step back nor bless her.)
Meera: (Was back to her full form, smiled and walked towards Yash.) I’m sorry… I promise not to step close to you, until I take my position back in Scindhiya family…
Yash: (Tried to hold her shoulders.)
Meera: (But she stepped back, creating a distance between them.) Thank you, doctor… Now, baby Anya is fine, you may leave, your family needs you… (She didn’t wait for his response.) Little one, pay Dr. Scindhiya and send him off… (And walked off upstairs.)
Yash: (Without a word or glance towards anyone, walked off.)
Aarti: (Followed a lifeless Yash.)
Pankaj: (A drop of tear slipped from his eye. He composed himself and walked off.)
All were too shocked to even react. Their trance was broken by Gauri.
Gauri: KB…? (And touched his shoulder.)
Krishna: (Letting out a sigh, he pulled Gauri into his embrace.)
Gauri: (Hugged him tight and rubbed his back continuously, comforting him.)
Krishna: (Sensing her worry filled gesture, he spoke.) I’m fine, darling…Relax…
Gauri: (Bobbed her head, still being in his embrace.)
Om: (Felt bad to see the sadness filled eyes of Gauri.)
Arjun: (Pulled Om close, by side hugging him.)
Om: (Composed himself.)
Neil: (Coming close to them.) Om, accept your feelings soon or you’re gonna miss something precious soon…
Arjun: (Sternly.) Neil…
Neil: (Making faces, he looked around.) By the way, where is Haider…? He is no where to be found…
Shivaay: His love is in pain, where do you expect him to be…?
Neil: Hmmm… I just hope, Meera will be fine soon…
All nodded wishing the same.
Anika: Pari…
Pari: Anu thai… (She hugged Anika tight.) Missed you thai…
Anika: (Mumbled so only Pari could hear.) Why did you lie Pari…?
Pari: (Didn’t know what to say. Breaking the hug, she smiled. Without a word, she walked to Anya, and sat beside her, caressing her head.)
Anika: (Thinking.) For sure, you’re upto something… I should find it out soon, before something grave happens…
Pari: (Thinking.) I know Anu thai, even my single word will let you know what am I upto… I’ll stay away from you till the marriage day…
Daadi: (Caressing Pari’s head.) Puttar…
Pari: (Standing up.) Daadi… (She touched her feet and got her blessings.)
Daadi: Heard that your health isn’t good… How are you now, puttar…?
Pari: Now I’m fine, Daadi… I didn’t want you to worry, that’s why I came to meet you as first thing…
Daadi: You did right… Anyways, we were about to meet you, by coming to your home…
Pari: (Smiled.)
Daadi: (Caressed her hair.) Pinky, Jhanvi, go get the snacks and tea ready… (To others.) All take your seats…
Pinky and Jhanvi walked to kitchen. Gauri and Anjali followed them. Anika went to Anya and took her in her embrace. She cried silently seeing the miserable state of her daughter. Radhika side hugged her tight. Anika leaned her head on Radhika’s head and shed more tears.
Radhika: Ani, our Anoo is fine… Please stop crying dear… (She was continuously rubbing her arm.)
Anika: Anything could have happened, Radzie… If something had happened to her, I would have died… (Broke down into tears.)
Radhika: Shhh… Stop talking nonsense…
Shivaay: (Couldn’t hold anymore, he just walked off, controlling his anger.)
Guys: (Scratched their head not knowing what to do.)
Sammy: (Saw Shivaay storming out with anger and pain. She understood, Anika would be the reason behind. She walked with Ansh in her arms to the rest. She gave Ansh to Arjun, who came to her, when he saw her.) Bhai, I’ll be right back…
Arjun: Is everything fine…?
Sammy: (Nodded positive.) Just few minutes, I’ll be back…
Arjun: (Nodded affirmative and took back his place.)
Neil: (To Arjun.) Where is she going…?
Arjun: She went to see Shivaay…
Om: But…
Arjun: Trust me Omi, she will be fine… Our Shiv will come back with her…
Om & Neil: (Smiled wide, as they heard him calling them with their nick names, as he was used to earlier.)
Scene – 66:
In the garden,
Shivaay: (Was boiling out of anger and seated on the bench. His trance was broken by a pair of hands that engulfed him in a hug. He turned to find Sammy and hugged her back.) Sammy, everything fine, dear…?
Sammy: That should have been my question, bhai…
Shivaay: (Gave her a weak smile.)
Sammy: (Burying her head in his chest.) Bhai, life isn’t that evil… You’ll get your part of joy soon… I’ll fight for it, bhai…
Shivaay: (Was overwhelmed and hugged her tight.)
After few minutes,
Shivaay: (Breaking the hug, he cupped her face and kissed her forehead.) Let’s go…?
Sammy: (Smiled and bobbed her head affirmative.)
They walked hand-in-hand with each other.
Simultaneously in the terrace,
Meera was in Haider’s embrace, with her head buried deep in his chest. Haider was continuously rubbing her back.
Haider: Meera, stop crying… You’re going to fall sick lady…
Meera: (Didn’t reply, she buried herself more into him.)
Haider: (Tightening his grip around her.) Meera, this reaction was expected… It is not time to fall weak dear, it is the time to be strong and fight back to get back what is your’s…
Meera: (No response.)
Haider: (Trying to pull her face from his chest.) Now look at me…
Meera: No… (And buried her more deep into him.)
Haider: (Controlling himself, sternly.) Meera…
Meera: (Sensing the change in his voice, she pulled her head alone and looked into his eyes.)
