Nearly a week has passed since Gurucharan Singh, renowned for his role in “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah,” vanished, prompting a comprehensive investigation by the Delhi police. In the pursuit of unraveling this enigma, various vital clues have emerged.
Mandar Chandwadkar, his co-star famous for portraying Bhide in the sitcom, has finally broken silence on the matter. Recounting their last encounter, Chandwadkar revealed that he and Singh crossed paths at Dilip Joshi’s son’s wedding in December.
In a conversation with The Indian Express, Chandwadkar expressed his astonishment, highlighting Singh’s frequent travel between Delhi and Mumbai. He nostalgically reminisced about their enjoyable time at the wedding but confessed to losing touch since then, fervently hoping for his well-being.
Similarly, Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, another co-star, disclosed her lack of communication with Singh since June of the previous year. Despite a brief exchange of congratulatory messages in February, she remains perturbed by his sudden disappearance, describing him as a spiritual and compassionate individual.
The unsettling saga began when Singh, visiting his family in Delhi, was scheduled to return to Mumbai for work on April 22. Concern arose when he failed to arrive or communicate his whereabouts, prompting his father to file a missing person report.
Recent developments in the investigation shed light on Singh’s activities post-disappearance. On April 24, he withdrew Rs 7,000 from an ATM in Delhi, two days after vanishing. The latest trace of him was in Palam, mere kilometers away from his residence, evidenced by CCTV footage capturing him crossing a road at 9:14 p.m. on April 22, carrying a backpack. His phone has remained inactive since.
