Akash Jagga who is currently essyaing the role of Gagan in the show Sasural Simar Ka 2, will now be working in two shows simultaneously. The actor will replace Arjit Taneja for the role of Farishta in Naagin 6.
Akash talked about it during a recent interview with BT and shared, “ I have not seen the show before, but to be honest, I am very excited to be part of this show because it has so much buzz, about it and enjoys a massive fan following. So many people I know are ardent followers of the show. Joining an existing show halfway is always tough, more so if you are replacing a popular actor. Comparisons are inevitable. Also, I don’t know anyone in the current cast and crew, except Tejasswi (Prakash) and Simba (Nagpal). I have known Simba for a few years now and have met Tejasswi a couple of times. But I am excited and looking forward to breaking the ice with my other co-actors. I started shooting for the show a few days back. As there was little time for preparation, I simply followed the director’s and writer’s directions.”
Akash added, “I am very happy to have gotten a chance to work with Ekta (Kapoor) mam again. This will be our second collaboration -after Kasauti Zindagi Kay 2.”
Talking about his character in the show, Akash said, “My character, Farishta, will be different from the characters I have played in the past, so it’s challenging as well for me. For the first time, people will see me in a supernatural show. As an actor, I am sure I will bring something new to the table so that it excites the audience. I am sure the audience will like me, I have faith in the makers.”
When asked about how he will manage the shoot of two shows simultaneously, he replied, ” This is the first time that I am doing two shows, but I like the challenge -it will be a bit physically tiring since I will have to manage my time smartly. As an actor, the audience will see me more frequently now. When I got this show, I immediately took it up as I wanted to work with Ekta ma’am again. And the makers of both shows are being very supportive, so am in a happy space.”
