Namish Taneja talks about his rap song titled ‘Kya Kar Raha Hai Tu’; says, “Divine and Emiway Bantai have inspired me a lot and I was like yes even I can try it”
Actor Namish Taneja is currently enjoying the success of his debut rap song “Kya Kar Raha Hai,” which was recently launched on YouTube. The song is garnering quite a response from the audience.
Namish talked about it during a recent interview and shared who inspired him to try rapping. He said, “Divine and Emiway Bantai. Yes, I definitely like Divine a lot. He has reached a certain kind of level through his rap in India. I like Emiway Bantai. I love his raps. There is humor in his songs. Divine and Emiway Bantai have inspired me a lot and I was like yes even I can try it.”
He added, “I don’t think people will look at me like a rapper because I didn’t sing it, I just talked about it. I haven’t done anything like “yo-yo” which a rapper usually does. I haven’t put any kind of slang to it. I have just tried to keep it natural. So, rap is actually my act. I am pretty sure people will love it and if I get a good response, I will pursue it but I don’t think I will be able to carve a niche for myself as a rapper. That’s because I have tried to keep it natural and have done it in a subtle way. And if at all this becomes a style and if at all people find something unique in it and there isn’t any kind of slang in it, then maybe I might be the new voice. And if people accept this, then maybe I will sing in the near future.”
