“When I prioritize my work, my kids and many other family members hate me for it. So there’s a lot of hate, there’s a lot you have to deal with,” Namita shared. She further explained, “When I prioritize my family at times, I’ve been taunted as she’s doing it part-time. I just took off for two hours to attend a PTA meeting. That’s not part-time. So, there’s no balance.”
Namita elaborated on her approach to handling these challenges: “You just have to wake up every morning, make your to-do list, be at peace with what you’ve decided and get on with life.”
Addressing the criticism of being labeled a ‘nepo kid’ due to her inherited business, Namita mentioned that she views it as a learning experience that helps her evolve as a person.
Namita Thapar is a prominent figure in the pharmaceutical industry, serving as the executive director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals Limited, a company founded by her father. Her strategic vision has significantly contributed to the global growth and success of the company. In addition, Namita founded Incredible Ventures Limited in 2017, an education company aimed at teaching entrepreneurship to 11 to 18-year-olds. Earlier this year, she made a glamorous debut at the prestigious Cannes Festival.
