Ekta Tiwari, renowned for her portrayal of Radha in “Tere Mere Sapne,” has taken the courageous step of filing for divorce from her husband, actor Sushant Kandaya. Their journey began with a chance encounter on the set of Crime Patrol, culminating in marriage on Ekta’s birthday, August 1, 2017. However, after initiating divorce proceedings in December of the previous year, the couple is now navigating the complexities of separation.
In a candid statement, Ekta acknowledges the challenges they faced, stating, “While we appeared compatible before marriage, the reality shifted once we began sharing a home. Despite our efforts, problems arose soon after our union. It took time to comprehend and adapt to each other’s expectations, but ultimately, our differences became insurmountable. We realized that living together was untenable. Out of our six years of marriage, we spent merely two-and-a-half years together. Although Sushant is a wonderful person, we are not suited for each other. My advice is to invest more time in understanding one another before making such commitments.”
Living separately since Diwali, both Ekta and Sushant emphasize the amicable nature of their decision. Sushant reflects, “Our choice to part ways was mutual, devoid of animosity. Despite our efforts to accommodate each other’s lifestyles over six years, we recognized the inherent lack of compatibility. While we remain good friends, the dynamic of a romantic partnership eluded us. Contrary to the notion that opposites attract, I believe shared values are crucial for a lasting relationship. A balance is imperative.”
As Ekta Tiwari and Sushant Kandaya navigate this new chapter in their lives, their story serves as a reminder of the complexities inherent in relationships and the importance of mutual respect and understanding in matters of the heart.
