Neeru Randhawa Triumphs: Bombay High Court orders Armaan Kohli to pay remaining ₹50 Lakh for assault case

In June 2018, fashion stylist Neeru Randhawa bravely filed a case of assault against her then-boyfriend, actor Armaan Kohli. Following the incident, Armaan was arrested in Lonavala on June 12 of the same year. Despite the mutual settlement that followed, with Armaan being ordered to pay her one crore rupees, the aftermath was marred by bounced cheques and prolonged legal proceedings.

Recently, the Bombay High Court ruled in Neeru’s favor, ordering Armaan to pay the remaining 50 lakh rupees owed to her. The determined fashion stylist expresses relief that the truth has prevailed and that justice has been served. The court mandated that Armaan must make the payment by today, or he will face imprisonment.

Neeru talked about it in a recent interview and shared the challenges she faced as a British citizen shuttling between London and India during the prolonged legal battle. She explains why she initially withdrew the case, citing practical reasons and appeals from Armaan’s family. However, the dishonored post-dated cheques left her with no option but to seek legal recourse once more.

Since the incident, Neeru has maintained no contact with Armaan or his family. She firmly believes that seeking justice was crucial not just for her own well-being but also to set an example for other women to stand up and fight back against abuse.

Recalling the beginnings of their love story, Neeru reveals that she met Armaan through a mutual friend in Dubai in 2015 and subsequently collaborated with him on the film “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.” However, their relationship took a tumultuous turn due to recurring instances of physical abuse, culminating in Neeru’s decision to walk away for good.

Despite the emotional toll of the ordeal, Neeru remains resilient. Emphasizing the invaluable lesson she learned, she shares that she now understands she cannot change someone else. Instead, she advocates for self-love and the courage to walk away from toxic relationships.

Through her struggle for justice and her determination to heal, Neeru Randhawa sets a powerful example of strength and resilience for all women, reinforcing the importance of standing up against abuse and prioritizing self-worth and well-being above all else.
