Actress Dalljiet Kaur and Nikhil Patel’s troubled marriage has been making headlines recently. The conflict escalated when Dalljiet publicly accused her estranged husband of infidelity. Her social media exposure of Nikhil did not sit well with him, leading to an official statement from Nikhil defending his actions. Now, Nikhil has decided to pursue legal action against Dalljiet.
Nikhil Patel has issued a legal notice to Dalljiet Kaur under the Indian Penal Code, the Information Technology Act of 2000, and the Protection of Children from s*xual Offences Act of 2012. Explaining his decision, the Kenya-based businessman stated, “As a normal citizen of the world, it is very disturbing to see how the gaps in online protection laws both in India and globally can, and are, often exploited by those who choose to gain cheap media attention through careless actions that place innocent children and women at risk.”
On May 1st, Dalljiet Kaur shared a wedding video on Instagram featuring emotional moments and Nikhil’s younger daughter giving a speech. The video included cherished moments from their wedding day, attended by their friends and family. However, Dalljiet deleted the post shortly after, which offended Nikhil. In his statement, Nikhil emphasized, “Sharing pictures and video footage without consent of those involved, particularly in the case of children, who are always a vulnerable group in society and who always require protection of the law, is illegal and negligent.”
Nikhil revealed that his team contacted Dalljiet to collect her belongings from his house in Kenya, stating that if she doesn’t do so by June, he will donate them to charity. He asserted that he has no obligation to store her items and has asked her multiple times to retrieve them. Nikhil further stated he will not tolerate any further harassment and will pursue the strictest legal actions if Dalljiet continues her alleged unlawful behavior. Dalljiet’s response to these developments is still awaited.
Dalljiet Kaur and Nikhil Patel were married on March 10, 2023, in a private ceremony with close family and friends. Nikhil has two daughters, Aariyana and Aanika, from his first marriage, while Dalljiet has a son, Jaydon, from her previous marriage to Shalin Bhanot.
As the legal battle unfolds, the public watches closely, anticipating how both parties will navigate this tumultuous chapter.
