Scene 1
Nima’s family is finalizing invitation cards for Mania’s wedding. Sarla comes there and gives some money to Nima, she says this is a gift for Mania, I know you are in trouble so take it. Nima says you always think of us. Mania asks Sarla to dance at her wedding. Sunita says we will all dance together, she asks Sarla to practice. Sarla leaves. Tulika and Varun come there. Tulika says I made the food. Sunita tastes it and says she didn’t cook it, she bought it from the restaurant. Tulika says it doesn’t matter, just eat.
Kanchan cries and tells Shiv that I couldn’t tell you that I am pregnant. Shiv says why did you hide it from me? Kanchan says I thought you like Sia so I didn’t want to bring a baby in this world, if you don’t love me
Tulika asks Suresh to come to her house. Suresh says Nima’s house is my house as my daughters are here, you have already sold my house. Tulika says I am trying to be a good wife but you can’t stay with another woman. Suresh says you are right, I should give a chance to Tulika. He takes Tulika to her house and sits on the bed. He asks her to massage his feet like a good wife. Tulika massages his feet, he makes her sit on the floor and says keep massaging it till I stop you. Suresh and Tulika went to sleep. The alarm plays so Suresh wakes up and asks Tulika to go and get the water for both the house. Tulika cries and goes.
Tulika and Varun are standing in the water line. Tulika talks to others, they ask her to invite them to Mania’s wedding. She says I will.
Ranisa talks to Maaji and says we have to send mehndi to Mania’s house, should I go? I know she is an orphan but we have to do rituals. You should tell me everything if there is any issue? Maaji says there is no issue.
Sia and Nari are doing dance practice. Sunita dances with them. Nima gets a call and leaves. All family members are dancing. Tulika joins them and asks Suresh if they can join the celebrations also? Suresh asks her to do household work first.
Maaji calls Nima and gives her some instructions. Tulika hears all that. Nima comes back to the family and is tense. Tulika comes there and says we should all dance. I mean mehndi function got canceled so we should try to cheer each other up. Sunita asks her to shut up. Nima says I got a call from Maaji, she said that the mehndi ceremony will happen at their house only, we can’t do it in our society. Nari says but the mehndi function is arranged by the bride’s family usually, this is wrong. Mania says I will talk to Paras about it. Nima stops her and says we agreed to their conditions so we have to follow them now.
Ranisa asks Maaji to do the rituals. Maaji says this is my house so I will do as I please. We are not going to the bride’s family, we will do mehndi function here only.
Nima talks to society’s people and tries to tell them that the mehndi function won’t happen. A woman says Nima got a rich son in law so she is ashamed of us. Another woman takes Nima’s side and says you are jealous, I am just happy that Mania got such a nice husband. Nima tells her friend and says I never thought I would have to hide my identity but we have to now.
Maaji tells Dinesh that this marriage is stressing me out, that Ranisa is spying on me all the time. She says people will be asking questions so we can’t just that this girl has no background. Dinesh says I have an idea.
Scene 2
Suresh tells Nima that the decoration company is not giving the advance back. Nima says it’s fine. She asks Mania to get ready as she has to leave for the salon. Mania says I am sad to get married like this. Sia says I thought to dance a lot at Mania’s wedding but this is all wrong. Mania says so who said you can’t dance? We can change the plan a little bit, I won’t attend my wedding without my family. She says Sia and Nari can come to the mehndi as my friends and Sunita can be their grandma. Nima and Suresh will be there as servants already. She asks Nima to agree with her.
Suresh and Nima are leaving the house for the function. Nima says we have to leave early. Sunita applies gajra to Nima and makes her wear jewelry. Nima smiles seeing her love. Nima leaves with Suresh. Tulika stops them so Nima leaves. Tulika asks Suresh if she can come too? Mania is my daughter also. Suresh asks her to just focus on household work.
Mania gets ready at a salon. Sia and Nari say you look pretty. Mania says this dress is heavy. Sia says you look nice. Sunita blesses her. A car arrives for Mania. The driver says I can only take Mania in the car. Mania says they are my friends. The driver says I am just following orders. Sia asks her to not worry, we will get a cab and come there. Mania leaves in the car.
Nima and Suresh are at Maaji’s house. Nima says I have got a gift for Paras, I bought a ring for him but how to talk to him? Paras comes there and says you can tell me anything. Nima says we are happy for you and Mania. She says I bought a simple ring for you, it’s nothing special so you don’t have to wear it. Paras says I will take it and wear it for sure but you have to bless me first. He is about to touch her feet but Ranisa comes there and asks what’s going on here? Nima gets stressed. Paras says I lost my ring so I was looking for it. Ranisa says then ask these servants. She leaves from there.
Mania arrives at Paras’ house dressed beautifully. Nima is standing at the back and can’t even see her. She tries to go to the front and mistakenly steps on Ranisa’s feet. Ranisa shouts at her and says what are you doing here? You are a mere servant so go to the back. Mania says enough. All look on. Ranisa says don’t forget who I am, you are asking me to shut up for a maid? Mania says she mistakenly did it. Ranisa says but what is she doing here? She is just a servant. Maaji asks her to not make a scene. Mania says I am sorry for answering you back. Nima tells sorry to Ranisa. Suman whispers to Mania to remain calm. Ranisa tells Nima that I will forgive you on a condition. Nima says anything. Ranisa says I don’t want to see your face so don’t be seen here at all, go away. Nima cries and goes away. She recalls her moments with Mania and how she raised her.
Tulika and Varun arrive at Paras’ house. They take photos, Tulika says we have to show these to my friends so they don’t doubt anything.
Mania goes to a corner and cries. Paras comes there and says I am sorry for all this. Mania says don’t say sorry, I feel guilty for doing this to my family.
Nima is crying silently. Suresh comes to her and says nobody can separate you from your daughter. Nima says I feel bad for Mania, she has a family but she feels alone in all this.
Maaji tells the guests that we will start our engagement ceremony and then we will start mehndi function. Mania says can we wait a little bit? I am waiting for my friends to arrive. Maaji says we can’t wait as this is a good time. Ranisa asks where are her distant relatives? Maaji says they are coming. Dinesh brings some random people. Maaji says they are Mania’s distant relatives. Ranisa asks Mania to introduce them. Mania is confused and introduces them randomly. Maaji asks them to do the engagement. Mania is waiting for Sia and Nari. She mistakenly drops the ring but it falls to Nari’s feet. Mania is happy to see Nari, Sia and Sunita arriving there. They smile at her.
