Nimrit Ahluwalia on why she said no to ‘Honsla Rakh’ featuring Shehnaaz Gill and Diljit Dosanjh’s

Shehnaaz Gill is all set for her Punjabi Flim debut with Honsla Rakh featuring Diljit Dosanjh. The trailer of the movie is already out and is creating a solid buzz.

But do you know Shehnaaz’s role was first offered to Choti Sarrdaarni fame Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia before Shehnaaz.

Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia was offered to essay the female lead opposite Diljit Dosanjh in Honsla Rakh, but due to Covid and her prior commitment with Choti Sarrdaarni, Nimrit was not able to work out the dates for the project.

In a conversation with India Forums, Nimrit confirmed the news saying, “Yes I was offered the movie last year September. But with Covid and shoot in Canada and my prior commitment with Choti, the dates couldn’t be worked out. Diljit sir himself had reached out for the project.”

Nimrit is currently essaying the role of Meher’s daughter, Seher in the Colors TV show Choti Sarrdaarni.

    Well. How could she leave that show? She was upto something big, wasn’t she? She had to topple the entire cast after all and become the queen herself.

      Now cs is rubbish. Story line is very unrealistic . Old lady is demanding child from young couple . What a fresh story 😂😂 And actress and makers celebrated 600 episode without original cast. Ig is full of negativity because of leap.

      Hi there! @cs, yes, unfortunately ig is full of negatively but even if she wasn’t responsible for the leap and the cast loosing their earnings, but with her communicating skills with the media and the behavior she showed has been very careless. Since fans only see and watch her there, she should have paid some attention and watch her mouth what she says! Hope she gets some guidance in the future and learnt from the mistakes she made.

    I saw the whole movie ‘Honsla Rakh’ – for those of you who follow Punjabi movies, it was entertaining and Sheehnaz Gill performed pretty well. I am very surprised that Nimrit even considered the role back in Sept 2020, given her daily role in CS. But things might be different today – with CS TRP these days just average or barely average (The current CS is between 15-20 in the rankings, so way down from where it was before the leap), Nimrit might seriously consider an alternative offer. Drama series cannot go on indefinitely and sooner or later CS will come to an end. Whether Nimrit could be successful in Punjabi movies remains to be seen but I have a feeling she might try her luck after CS. Good to hear from @Bacii, @Ayni, @Cs etc, Don’t know what happened to Radhika.

      Oh nice @Dropofthought. I couldn’t catch the meaning of your words. I thought that was some random string. Don’t really know Punjabi, you see.

      And I thought it had released in October 2020.

    Hi guys…. I didnt realize this article was up and people were commenting… luckily I glanced on the site today..@MD @Ayni @AJ @CS @Bacii and @ Charl.. Hope all the are doing well..
    The new CS will face its doom soon.. and I think nimrit was never offered this role and she is spreading this news now so that she get offers after the end of CS.. i am sure if she was approached in 2020 the news wouldn’t be circulating one year later

      Hey after long time.😍😍😍I missed your comments soo much. Cs trp is decresing but in colours tv there are no any upcoming shows as I think. Then cs will continue even with the low trp.

    How come @AJ you saw HonslaRakh..Its releasing on 15th..I too don’t look upto punjabi movies but would surely watch HonslaRakh as its promising and for Shehnaaz..The pain she has been enduring since 2nd Sep is immeasurable..I too used to stan SidNaaz and was a huge fan of them as i have already met them..The way sana is handling herself is commendable..coz when i met them last she just kept praising Sid as if he meant the entire world to her .
