Radhika cried loudly in pain…… it is the most painful moment for Arjun Also to see her like this. At the time of her cancer treatment, he was so scared but right now he is in pain…..if he knew that his button need to pass this painful stage to gv hm his baby he may not ready for a baby at all……but now situation is out of his control…all his way he also keep on trying to call neil, sam and rohit…….. finally after a lot of try, neil pick up the phone…
Neil “hello…”
Arjun “Neil comes to city hospital asap”
Neil feels the pain in his voice “Arjun… is Radhika ok?”
Arjun “no, she is not ok…. if possible, take sam along with you”
Neil “we will be there within 20 minutes…. dOnt worry, she will be all fine”
They disconnect the phone
neil huridely call sam…hey Sammy wherever you are just reach city hospital… Arjun n Radhika need us “
Sam “JUST before your call i check his 30 missed calls…. radhika is fine na?”
Neil ”dent knows baby… b there soon, please… am also leaving from here”
sam “see u there”
It takes 30 minutes to reach hospital, but this is the longest journey of his whole life. As he comes out of the cab, he find neil there with a stretcher…..nd wardboys….they quickly shift radhika on that….sam also reached there and hold radhika’s hand quickly…she understand with her condition that her pains started and they are at worst now…..on the other side neil and arjun rush towards doctor’s cabin…..she come to check her and ask her attendents to take radhika to OT.
Arjun is hell scared after listening this…neil understands…..he squeeze his shoulder to assure him that she will be fine……a nurse come there to take arjun’s sign on papers of her wife’s operation responsibility…..neil asked him to sign on them…..nd after a long pause he does.
Arjun move towards OT but nurse ask him to stay out….nd sam is already inside with radhika…..she also come out after gv her all possible assurance that all is well…..
Arjun sits on the bench with red puffed eyes
Neil come there…..
Arjun “she is in so much pain Neil”
Neil “Arjun….. please don’t worry….”
Arjun “all because of me”
Neil “how?”
Arjun “I took her responsibility…..mom didn’t want to go but I forced her”
Neil “Arjun… it happened because it is destiny….you take her here….. It all will be ok now”
Sam also joined them “Arjun…. dent worry….. just be ready to give us a treat”
Arjun “treat??? For what?”
Sam “oh….goddd!!! Radhika have her labor pains….. what do you think…. doctor takes her to OT for what?”
Arjun felt so relaxed after listening and Neil also gives a smile to sam to handle his friend……
Now all three of them are more restless… not in a sad way, but in excitement…. its almost 2 hours now…….no crying or shouting from OT…….PIN DROP SILENCE……
Finally the light above the door of OT turned off…..doctor come out and after taking her mask off…she declared that Radhika is out of danger and safe now…. A big smile spread on their faces… but just for a few seconds…. As Sam asked about the baby “sorry…. she lost her baby…at the time she slipped….”
Arjun didn’t react just a single line of tear come out of his left eye and reach his chin…. Sam hug neil and cry…. Neil’s eyes are also full of tears, but he has to handle himself for Arjun at least…… he is the witness of arjun’s tears……his body’s stiffness……
“she is unconsciousness right now….let her sleep…..she will wake up in the morning only…..just help her to handle herself……because these pains make her very week…..if she had her baby then her happiness turn to be her strength but now….”
Doctor left from there after saying these words…
Arjun leave from there and come outside in the hospital lawn…..he sits there on a bench and cry loudly…remembering all there moments which they spend discussing about there baby….her smile….her all odd even torchers to him……she turn out totally new creature in these months……neil come there, sit next to him on the bench……he put his hand on arjun’s shoulder….arjun turn hug him and cry hard…..neil also cry but he have to be strong right now……he doesn’t understand what to say to arjun to low his pain…….
Its morning now……radhika wake up a little…she blink her eyes few times slowly slowy…..fell so week…..she turn her head to understand what is going on….nd find sam slepping in siting mode….her one hand on radika’s head…….at the same time neil and arjun entered the room with coffee and juice in their hands…..they lost words…..doesnt even understand what to do….neil come towards sam and sam wake up with his touch….after finding radhika awake she also turn to be like neil and arjun…..radhika feel it so much awkward….pin drop silence…..finally sam speak…”hey…lovely lady, how are u?”
Radhika “m all fine now…..but why u guys stare me like this?”
Other three doesn’t understand why she said that…..radhika try to sit and then she notices her body….. she lose some weight……her mouth is all open…….then she remembered last might incident of admitting her to hospital……she moved her eyes on all the corners of the room to find someone….but no clue…
Radhika “arjun….where is our baby?….nd boy or girl???”
Arjun is stunned…… he doesn’t utter a single word…..
Radhika again speaks…”do nurse take the baby for checkup?…tell me na…please…”
Again silence…. now she feels scared “what happened… tell me na……Neil…sam… guys please tell me”
Neil and Sam both understand that Arjun is not able to tell her the truth….he lose his strength this time…..
Sam comes towards her and cry after hug…..
Radhika break the hug and ask her “sam….tell me please…what happened to my baby?”
Sam whispher “we lost her”
Similar to arjun…she also don’t react mush just sit there silently…..tears roll down from her eyes……arjun turn back, but Neil holds his hand…”she needs you”
Arjun “I cnt face her…I am the reason for all this”
Veil “r u mad……u r not the reason…stop cursing yourself please…”
Arjun dent, turn… Neil again speaks “right now….. You are the only one who can share her pain…..she will die…..help her to handle herself ryt now”
Arjun quickly turns towards her and hug Radhika…..Radhika reciprocate to his hug….SAM also moves back towards Neil and hug him….both of them also cry…they come out of room…leaveArjun and Radhika with each other…..
Arjun “I am sorry button….. I am very sorry… I failed to save our princess”
Radhika feels his pain…..very well “it’s not because of you….. I am responsible for this… I should tell you previously that I was in pain…”
Both of them feel themselves responsible for this tragedy…. Yes, tragedy… their baby comes to change their life…. Now she is no more, but life will take a turn now……
Their parents reached there….. all consoles, both of them…. they always pretend to be normal but… start avoiding each other’s eyes…. Arjun start felling that he is unable to prove himself best for radhika….he couldn’t save her from this pain……on the other side radhika feel that arjun gave her all happiness and she is even not able to take care of his baby….
After three days she gets discharged……
Radhika and arjun keep quite most of the times…and if they are alone….they turn like deaf and dumb……not because they are angry to each other, because they feel that their baby was lost because of them…..everyone in the house observe that…..same room…same bed….but they are different now……they were use to sleep in each other’s arms but now….only their back face each other…..they cry silently for whole nights…..
Arjun start coming late from office and radhika also pretend to sleep before he come…..no complaints….no wishes….no desires…..life turn out like a white paper sheet….plain without any color…..
