SHIVAAY’S POV:: Anika and I settled ourselves on the large square sofa, sitting a few feet from each other. She had on a faded jeans and a tight pale blue shirt with long sleeves that looked great on her. I couldn’t stop myself staring at her. ” What’s wrong with you shivaay?stop staring and close your mouth” I demanded myself , irritated. As the cricket match was going on , Anika was in a rollercoaster of emotions. When India hits a six , she would jump up so high from the sofa , leaving me and the pizza shaking. The worst part which annoyed me was when virat kohli zoomes upin the screen.!. She would pass him hundred of flying kisses. ” What’s so special about him?” I wondered as I took in a bite of pizza. When the match went for a commercial break her attention fell over me. Haaaa, sooo long I have been waiting for that warm brown eyes to notice me. She offered me a drink. I just smiled and touched her face. She hestitated, looking at my approaching fingers towards her silky soft hair. ” Umm.. shivaay” she mumbled ” what are you doing?” I mentally slapped myself for going out of control. I gave her an awkward smile and started my justification ” wohh Anika … I was just checking weather your hair is soft , so that I can recommend your shampoo to prinku, poor girl , she’s being through bad hair these days” I stopped, realising about the lame excuse I just said. However it felt convincing for anika ” it’s just due to the climate” she said in a low voice. She handed me a Coke and then kept the fridge door open a second , peering in ” do you want anything to eat?”. I made a face as I popped the coke open . ” The food here is very..mm.. very oily and unhealthy” I said as I pointed my gaze towards the aloo Puri and packets of cotton candy over her food tray. She glanced at me over the fridge door ” what ? Like what ?”. I thought I messed up everything seeing her annoyed face. Then she laughed and I felt my tension ease. ” Okay I admit that it’s oily. But it’s way better than your continental and Italian which has no tadka and teeka !” She said ,still scanning the fridge. She closed the fridge door and grabbed a bag of chocolate chip cookies. ” Here , everyone likes chocolate chip cookies. It’s my brother’s favourite and mine too. We never share these , but it’s okay with you ” she said , winking her eyes playfully and handed them to me. I grinned , wondering about what she said about sharing her favorite cookies, ” maybe iam special for her ” I thought for myself.

Anika sat on the sofa , busying herself in a duelling with the cookie packet to Rip it open. Just then I saw that virat kohli again zooming in the Television screen , and this time I lost my patience. Without Anika noticing, I just made few drops of coke fall over the TV socket. Suddenly the TV screen went blank ” bye bye virat kohli” I murmured happily. Anika looked up ” oh !! Not again! ” . ” I guess, now we can move upstairs. It’s a bit more comfier” I suggested. She nodded her head in approval and asked me to follow her. I could hear my heart screaming with happiness. We ended up in her room. The room was simple and cute , just like her. The four poster bed had hangings of Stars and moon. One corner of the room was filled with the snapshot of Sahil and Anika. She pointed me to sit next to her at the corner of the floor covered with fluffy cushions. We made ourselves comfortable, then I took out my phone to show her my college day memories when she insisted.

Suddenly anika cuts in and shouted ” hey , you shaved in that pic “. I touched my jaw , embarrassed ” yes.. those where college days” I said . ” I think I like you with the beard, it’s better ” Anika said by studying him. ” I’ll never shave again” I said , winking at her. She grimaced, her face was on fire , she stood up and took a box and sat beside me ” now I’ll show you my cherrished memories..”. Anika started spreading many photos in front of them. ” This is sahil’s b’day party.. and this when we had our first day out..and shivaay look this one..” Anika continued explaining every snapshot. Shivaay noticed that a particular girl was common in each photo ” who’s this?” Asked Shivaay pointing towards the girl . ” Oh.. this is my soul sister” Anika said with great happiness” she is Gauri”. ********. ” Om.. is she hot ?” Asked Rudy boy. ” Shut up rudra !!! Call her Di will you ?” Said om annoyingly. Rudra was busy enquiring about omkara’s new lady employee. ” Ohhhhhh.. teek Hai.. atleast tell the name of this Didi ” asked rudra suspiciously at om. Omkara face widened with an ear to ear smile , a new glow could be seen which was notified by Rudra . ” Her name is Gauri…”. *********
