Actress Payal Rohatgi was making the headlines two days ago for the Tweet she had made on the Nehru and Gandhi family. The Tweet was not seen in a great light as it was seen as provoking by the IT cell. An arrest warrant was issues against Payal by the Bundi police and she was arrested from her residence in Ahmedabad on Sunday night.
She requested for an anticipatory bail on 13th of December but the court rejected it. Payal was booked under the IT Act and two provisions of the penal code relating to intentional insult to provoke breach of peace for the objectionable content she posted online against Motilal Nehru, Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi and other members of the Nehru family.
Now, as per the reports of ANI, it has been revealed that Payal has been granted bail with two sureties of 25000 each. The Bundi court said the right to freedom of speech under the Indian Constitution is not unlimited, while rejecting the bail application of the actress earlier.
