Petrichor to his heart (MHRW FF) – part 13

PETRICHOR TO HIS HEART – PART 13

Two days had already passed and it was the most difficult two days, the man named Raghav Rao had been the biggest and restless naughty baby she had seen so far.

Since she had tricked him in to call Amma and inform him about this incident if he insisted to leave the room for the next two days he had been creating havoc on staff and Farhad.

Sometimes his soup had too little salt and another time he needed a hot bag because his back ached due to improper posture… the limits were crossed when he said he wanted to walk in the garden and with the help of house staff they had taken him down.

She knew he was trying to irritate her so that she allows him to go wherever he wanted but she kept mum on his every activity but his tactics were now troubling to the house staff so when she took out his formals and kept on the bed, he shined and she took a sigh.

“It sure was painful for men to stay home this long…” she muttered inaudibly.

She thought to let him do whatever he wanted and after he left for the stores the house staff took a breath of relief.

She smiled seeing them so relaxed and working without a worry.

“don’t know how they worked here before our marriage..” she mused and walked to get her phone that was ringing in their room.

” Which Aiza… sorry, I think it is a wrong num..” she was cut mid-way.

“I want to meet you, Pallavi… urgently.” the person told her.

“to tum saat saal se plan kar raha tha, impressive !” Raghav commented as he eyed the man sitting comfortably on the chair in the big room.

“huh… kam se kam tujhe tadapte to dekha.” the man spat with disgust.

“ab mai kya bolega…Farhad isko puchh, iska vo beta kidhar bhag gya?” Raghav took Farhad’s name just so the old man says something.

“Mera beta kyu bhagega kahi, sab tere jaise thode hote hain, Raghav Rao.” the old man smiled a crooked smile and stared towards the withering walls.

Raghav noticed the pain on his face and for a moment he felt bad for the old man, he still didn’t know what was his connection to Bushra and where she was.

“tera vo bete ka pata bol, budhe, varna aisa na ho ek ke sath dusra pair bhi na bache.” Raghav played the part he didn’t want these days but he wanted to solve this mystery as soon as possible.

“vo jahan hai tujhse door hai aur tu mujhe maar bhi le na to vo jaroor ye kam poora karega…” the man’s eyes glowed in pure hatred.

“Anna, aapko yaad hai iski beti ke sath kya hua?..ye sab kuchh kahi na kahi juda hua hai.” Farhad whispered to him when the old man didn’t say a thing about his son.

“dekh ek sanki mera sasur hota tha, bina jane bina soche gale pad jata tha… ab dusra tu mat ban.” he walked slowly putting the smallest pressure on his injury.

“Bushra kidhar hai?”

Raghav didn’t know about the strength this old man’s weak bones had until one of his crunches hit him sharply.

“what the…” Raghav shouted due to the pain and anger.

The men around them held on to the old man and plunged their revolvers in his body.

“Bushra ka naam bhi mat le apni jabaan se…” the old man screamed at him.

The very moment Raghav’s phone ringed and Farhad handed him mouthing Pallavi.

He left for the silent rooms before taking her call.

“where is Aiza’s Abba?” No hellos or anything but the voice, the stern tone which she used when she was pissed at something tore inside his ears.

“why should I know?” he would never take a chance with Pallavi now, he had to save her and the least she knew the least she was in danger.

“because he has not been home since this morning and his phone is unreasonable.” her voice was colder this time.

“i still don’t get you, Pallavi.” he switched to that rugged businessman who didn’t accept his flaws easily.

“Alright, so if you say you don’t know his whereabouts, you can at least help her locate one… you have better control over Hyderabad, right?” Now he didn’t expect this one but if he was the tiger she was the tigress, always ready to his actions.

“i am in a meeting, I’ll talk to you when I get back.” he tried to avoid the topic.

“We need to talk about Bushra when you come back…” her clipped tone told him she had gotten to know something about the girl but he still needed to know a lot about all this fiasco.

“Pallavi, wait…” he called her.

“There is still a lot of it even I don’t know, let me get all of this and then I’ll personally tell you about it,” he told her gently.

It was a brief silence and Farhad walked inside the room.

“alright but do find out about her father, her mother is also not in the best of her healths,” she told him before cutting the call.

If there was one thing in their relationship it was the trust they had vowed to each other after the circumstances they were married into, they knew love was a far dream in their marriage but Trust should be there in every case.

And today he had broken that trust… but He didn’t lie at all now did he?”

Such thoughts ran in his mind before Farhad told him something.

“No, we have to let him go… tell him anything, maybe a threat to his daughter, what was her name…haan, Aiza but for now let him go.” He ordered Farhad, making himself a drink.

“par Kyon Anna, we still don’t know about Bushra… or the whereabouts of his son, how can we let him go… he can run away,” Farhad asked him surprised.

“he won’t go anywhere, he waited for this attack for last seven years, he is not someone to run away but for now we have to keep him away from Pallavi, at least till I know everything about it.” he eyed the old man from across the room and his throat burning with the cold bitterness of liquid.

“i knew you would come,” Aiza told her and there was no emotion of her face.

“i might not have come but after talking with my husband I knew he was hiding something or in his words, was trying to save me.” Pallavi smiled bitterly taking the seat in front of Aiza.

“its strange wives know about their husbands and still like to veil their crimes.” Aiza’s words stung her but she could understand her condition.

Somewhere Raghav has involved with her father’s disappearance and most importantly her sister was dead due to some Raghav connection.

“so why did you call me when I already told Raghav to let your father go,” Pallavi asked her.

“My father is old and my mother is not well I don’t want your husband to trouble us anymore… before the kidnap, we were getting calls from I don’t know whom; my father didn’t explain but it seems it was Raghav Rao.” Aiza’s tone assembled her hatred in the words.

“i think there are a lot of things we don’t know so don’t you think it might be too early to judge people… I mean Yes, to judge Raghav.” Pallavi tried to make her understand.

“why cant the self-proclaimed don do all of this…?” the accusation needed no words.

“See, it is not as I cant hear about his flaws… I know he is flawed but I am just saying it’s too early to judge him.” she insisted.

No words came from Aiza’s side and Pallavi knew people often kept quiet so others talk but right now she had nothing to say so she waited for her to say something.

“Ma’am…” her driver cum guard in absence of Harish leaned to her ear level. “Boss is angry and wants you to come home the soonest… I think my job is in danger.”

She was warned not to leave the house and it was no wonder why such an order was passed by the supremo.

“give me five minutes, Mohanti.” she smiled at him and assured him his job was not in danger.

“i think I don’t have answers to your questions and worries but yes, if Raghav is behind all of this by any chance he better be ready with the explanations,” she said getting up from the chair.

“you two are no match…” Aiza commented.

“You and I, We are not that close that you got a right to comment on my marriage or my equation with my husband.” Gone was Pallavi Deshmukh who was polite with everyone this Pallavi Raghav Rao never took anyone’s negativity.

“who sent all of this?” Pallavi asked Reddy their prime cook when she noticed packed tiffins and bowls arranged on the dining table.

“Jaya Ma’am came home in the evening, Ma’am.”

“and no one was here, why didn’t she call me.” Pallavi started to check her phone.

“and she brought all this. since it’s her fast tomorrow she won’t be able to cook for Sir’s birthday,” Reddy explained to her surprised face.

But now the surprise came in the form of a happy gasp from her.

“It’s Raghav’s Birthday…” she exclaimed keeping away her handbag and phone on the table.

“Yes Ma’am, Jaya Ma’am told me to put the packet she brought for you two in your room…” he told her and left for his kitchen duties.

“wow, it is his birthday, how come I didn’t know about it?” she asked herself wondering about all those moments she could have known about this day.

And another small query came to her mind, whether he knew about her birthday?

She was thinking about all these things when his car stopped outside with a screech which informed someone was in a bad mood and she recalled she had to save her guard and then they were going to have a talk.

Thinking to solve the matter out of the home she walked to the main door.
